It's a typical USPS - long wait times, only 1 or 2 staff members at the counter serving customers while the others are in the back office, staff are never friendly and lack basic customer service skills. That's pretty much the trademark of any USPS location, which is quite sad. This is the only USPS I ever been to where they have a particular way of doing EVERYTHING. Customer service is ZERO STARS. I always ship with a QR code & purchase their packaging they won't even scan the QR code until the package is sealed and placed on scale. Ridiculous! I've been here 3 times now and it's this way EVERY time EVERY employee. What is wrong with scanning the QR code while I seal so it can speed up the process to get through longer lines? This post office has terrible service. Residents are expected to follow instructions they give, but they don't follow ours. I was expecting a package, that required a signature that I didn't request, and we weren't home on the date of the first delivery. I completed the form online, requesting redelivery the next day, an included my online signature. Delivery was attempted again, but now the post office will not redeliver, and I have to go to the post office to pick it up. The carrier did not follow the instructions I left yesterday - to text and let us know when someone is on the way to deliver and to respect the signature left on my account. Passport Services: We got a passport for our 9 month old daughter and the lady that assisted us was very helpful. She was punctual with our appointment and answered our questions. **Note: They have the packet for you to fill out there at the counter. Don't bother printing it yourself.** And best of all, her passport arrived in 3 weeks instead of the 6-8! So I would come back here. Packages: Definitely more affordable than UPS and Fedex and for small packages, it's often more affordable than my husband's employer as well. The line is never too long. I went in this evening to mail a package and was disgusted at the way that the employees treated the customers. I think they took at look at me and knew not to try it BUT every other person in there was literally screamed at, packages thrown, told they aren't getting helped, etc. The older Asian man who works at the counter typically acts like he doesn't want to be there but today, his behavior was downright absurd. The Asian lady working the counter was feeding off of his energy and I really felt bad for everyone in there. This location really needs to consider hiring different people to work the counter who has patience dealing with the community. I know if was a Friday evening but that's still no excuse to treat people they way that they did and I really hope the people that were mistreated files a complaint. read more

This post office delivers to my place of employment, and they are by far the worst post office EVER. We have a permit for postage paid mail. When the people at the post office get behind, which is often, they'll hold our postage paid mail. This current time period is getting close to two weeks. When I call to see what's up I've been given every excuse in the book (when someone answers the phone anyway)...we're short staffed, a person is out sick, someone broke their arm, so and so is on vacation, the delivery person's truck broke down. ARGHGHGHGHHG! They have offered to let me come and pick up the mail when they know they can't get it to me when I need it. Hello?! Does someone not see the problem with that statement? The one time I did go pick up the mail I stood in line for over an hour. This has been going on for the almost four years I've worked in Las Colinas. After my last visit to a post office, I went into this one with lower than usual expectations. Upon entering I immediately observed the Self Service machines were out order. Needless to say, this was not a good start. To make it an even less desirable start, there were already 10 people in line waiting to be served at the counter. Thankfully, there were 3 windows open and the people working them seemed to be in a good mood and engaged enough to keep things moving. There was also someone working the window for mail/package pickup so people needing to perform that task could do so without waiting in the other line. On top of that, the supervisor was visible and apologized for the wait. In addition to this, the supervisor went to each person in line, inquired about their transaction and when necessary provided the proper forms that needed to be completed. I found this to be both helpful and beneficial as it allowed most people to make only one trip to the window. Of course there are always a couple of people who know better than the experts and screw it up for everyone. Counter to some of the other reviews, I found the staff at this location to be friendly. Perhaps it was because it was Friday afternoon but they were very talkative; more than I've experienced at many post offices. If in the area and in need of a post office, I would definitely return to this location. read more

I really have a yenning for a well-run post office with easy access to the 635, sadly I have to purposefully avoid this location and go to Coppell instead. The inside is in absolute shambles, and the package drop off is perpetually full. This, in particular, is maddening, it's open 24/7 with self-service for a reason, but if you can't deposit your packages what good does it do? There are a lot of hard-working USPS employees out there, it is just apparent that this particular branch doesn't embrace that sort of work culture. I'm in this Post Office about every two weeks or more for various work related stuff, and every time I go in it's usually a pleasure. I've seen several reviews that say that the female staff are rather atrocious; I have to respectfully disagree. Sure, at a glance it might seem that they've got a little bit of an attitude going on, but if you're nice to them they're usually extra nice to you. The line can get pretty long, but the staff are quick and efficient and get you in and out fast no matter the length of the line. Even if I get there and the line is stretched out the door (which means about thirty people are in front of me) I still get out in less than thirty minutes, which, if my math is correct (and it usually is), is about one minute per customer. I'd call that super fast, wouldn't you? Overall, I sort of look forward to my required work trips to this Post Office, because I'll usually have a decent chat with whomever is helping me, which is a refeshing break from my usual office work. Four stars, USPS. Not many branches could achieve that, in my opinion. read more

The carriers have a very bad habit of delivering to the wrong mailbox and marking packages as delivered when they haven't been delivered. They've 'lost' three of my items this way. One of them claimed it was delivered to 'reception desk/mail room' on a day the reception desk was closed. Opening a claim is pointless. They'll just tell you that the carrier said they delivered it and you won't hear from them again. I gotten to the point that I will go out of my way to avoid anything being delivered by the USPS. The only reason I would go to the post office is to drop off packages. I had to make an appointment for my passport & this was the closest one so I did. Went up to this person (Lisa, black lady, short hair) who made it obvious she didn't like what she was doing by being rude & unwelcoming. Told her about my situation & before I was done she pointed me to some forms that I needed to fill out. She wasn't being clear with her short explanations so I asked for clarification & explained to her some more but she kept saying the same thing until I rephrased it & added what I think she meant & she goes 'yes, like I've been saying all along.' No you didn't. She told me I needed to bring my birth certificate to be mailed with the forms. Her attitude was really throwing me off & I told her plenty of times that she needed to talk to people better. Finally I had it with her attitude & told her she needed better customer service before leaving the place. I ended up calling the actual passport people asking them what I needed & Ms Carol was very polite & very helpful & gave me a list of things I needed. I should have called them first & asked them instead instead of waiting for the post office ppl to tell me what I needed & not get the information at all. Lisa, you suck at your job. If you're not happy & don't want to help customers that need help & are looking to you for help, go find another one. The line is always long and the service is SSSLLLOOOOWWW. If you go there you have probably interacted with Deadra at some point. I feel like she is always there and never friendly.
