About 5 months ago I bought 3 baseball caps on eBay and paid almost 108 dollars including shipping. eBay said that the package had been left in front of my door by the mail, which is not true. I went to the post office and complained, and they told me to ask my neighbors--what do my neighbors have to do with a package I never received? Later, I bought a New England Patriots jersey on eBay, and the same thing happened. eBay said that the package was left in front of my door, which is not true. I went to the post office and they told me the same thing, to ask my neighbors. This is the second time that this post office has lost my packages. I checked this stop off of my to-do list on a New Year's Eve afternoon. I needed to mail a box and a certified letter with urgency, and since I've never been inside of this post office...I had no idea what to expect. Gratefully, I called ahead of time and knew regular business hours were in order on this somewhat of a holiday. To my surprise, the parking lot wasn't too full of cars, and the line indoors had only 2 customers before me - not too bad! Once I reached the clerk, he was so helpful and ended up saving me $7 by recommending I switch to a priority mailing box. Good service! He even helped me switch boxes and taped it for me. So kind and gracious! He could have easily allowed me to pay more in ignorance or made me step aside to re-package. The other clerks working (there were a total of 4; 1 handling pick ups only) also seemed in high spirits, engaging in familiar conversation with regular customers. They gave off all kind of "Cheers!" vibes and though they weren't speaking to me, I was loving it. Based on the reviews, I could have possibly caught an unusual break here and everyone was at the mall shopping for the NYE outfits instead of the post office lol. Worked out! Either way, we gotta remember that it doesn't get busy because of them, it gets busy because of us. As long as they keep dealing kindly, I'll keep returning. read more

This is just for this specific location: 2300 Story Rd W Irving, TX 75038 United States The people here are rude, to a point where it's obvious they either hate their job or just want to make people mad. This is my third try here because it's on my way, but I am done. First two times were same problem, they just were snide, not helpful at all, and can't be bothered. I dealt with two different people each time and the guy was just not helpful while the lady was plain rude and kicked me out of line for missing two words on something being shipped instead of letting me write it in real fast (it was literally two words, not an entire address or anything else). The most recent one was the last straw, I have worn a mask in there each time as sign said required. Today I noticed the sign stated (as I pulled up) that it was now recommended. So I didn't bring it in/wear it. However while at the back desk writing the address on an envelope, I hear this lady scream "masks required" to the whole lobby, I look around and realize she's looking at me and glances at 2 of the other 5 total people in the lobby not wearing a mask. I say "oh, your sign says recommended outside to be in the lobby, but not required". She snapped back and said it does not and I need to go read it again. I look at it through the door and snap a photo while saying I don't mind getting one but your sign says otherwise. She calls the manager on me as I was doing that and the manager comes up and says that masks are required. I show the picture and say it's fine but your sign says otherwise which is why people are coming in without it. Manager states they don't care what the sign says, I am telling you it's required. I decided to just leave and go down the road to the other one after that. Guess what, sign also says recommended and everyone was much friendlier and didn't have a different rule then what's posted on the door. I want to be clear, I am fine wearing a mask if the store requires it. Heck I was gonna go grab it and put it on for this store after they said something. But their attitude is terrible and they are not following the stores posted policies. No wonder parking lot is always bare at this location. read more

I just left their office, I went in about a month ago and had an amazing service. The woman was very nice to me and helped confirm that I got my address to the right place. However, this time whenever I went in, there was an extremely long line, and whenever I got up to the counter, I was simply writing down the ZIP Code when the woman told me, you need to go to the back of the line if you do not have everything completed and I politely said ma'am, I'm so sorry I am just now writing down the ZIP Code. She said no you need to go to the back of the line by the time her and I were going back-and-forth I had already had it Written down I was then met with the worst customer service I've experienced in my entire life she was so rude telling me that I need to reevaluate my life that I was a rude person for making the other people weight, etc. she would not give me her name, but I do have a description of her and I am filling out the survey at the end of the receipt that she gave me. I do hope that somebody of importance does see this, so that they can correct their behavior I understand that agencies like this are often sometimes not the nicest, but she took it a step way too far. read more

I had a shipping issue with my laptop. The mailman did not deliver the package and notated that there was no apartment number listed on the box. This was not true so, I had to leave work and head over to the post office to figure out what happened to my package. Long story short, I was able to speak with the Supervisor, Donna Robinson. She assisted me as soon as I explained my story! Called the mailman and asked that he bring my package to the post office straight away. Apparently they've had some issues with him not delivering packages in the past. Anyway, thanks Donna for your superb customer service You were so nice and laid back. This location has really gotten better in the last year or so. Whenever I go here, the staff is nice, helpful, and willing to answer random questions like the best way to ship something heavy or the cheapest way to ship which is always helpful to me as someone who sells a lot of things online but has no clue how to save money on shipping just yet. I was actually told I was overpaying for postage because I was overestimating the weight, who knew that any extension of the government could be so... honest? What I love the most about this location is that they periodically call out to direct you to the right to drop off or pick up packages and to the left/other counters if you have other needs like buying stamps. This makes the line move so much faster instead of everyone standing in one long line if they really don't have to. Last time I was able to walk up, drop off my packages, and the clerk was able to print me a receipt in less than a minute so I was in and out without really having to stand in line! Come through efficiency! My tips if you want an easier life: 1)don't go here during lunch time (11am-1pm) because this area is full of schools and businesses so you will have to wait much longer than you would if you just waited until about 2pm and later when all the parents have gone to pick up their kids and all the workers have returned back to work. 2)Don't waltz in 15-30 mins before they close because they'll most likely be short staffed or you'll have to deal with all of the people who left work early to pick up their packages which sucks because the line will be long, it will move slowly, and you will feel the despair of people itching for Amazon packages all around you. 3)come prepared and don't get in line until you've filled out whatever you need to and sealed up your packages! Unless you like having a miserable inefficient life. That's cool too. 4) Read your package notice fully or you might waste a trip and everybody else's time. Those little slips actually tell you if your package is there and ready to be picked up, if it's been left somewhere, or if it's been returned to sender. So don't come stand in the line with a slip that says your package was left with a receptionist but here you are at USPS getting death stares from everyone in the line behind you because you got a little package happy and didn't read the fine print. I made this mistake before and it wasn't my proudest moment. That's it! read more

I drop off 11 packages on desk, when I went home to track them, I only found 9, which made me feel bad.

The other day I showed up to pick up a package. I was 3 people behind and it took 20 min to get to me by the time it was my turn there was alone of 6 people behind me. The lady behind the counter decided to take everyone's pink slip at the same time when it was my turn. It takes 6 times longer to look for 6 packages then one package. So at this point I'm waiting 10 min for one package. When she got back she started going in a random order and I ended up being second to last to get the package. 40 min wait is not the way to do business. read more

Apparently my carrier is too lazy to deliver packages so I have to go to this hellhole to pick them up. When you go in there's a line to the left (drop off) and a line to the right (pickup). The only reason I know this is because I saw people holding their slips to pickup something. No signs, you're just suppose to know!!! Of course no one could find my package so the clerk took my number and said someone would call. It's the nextI'm still waiting for that call. I asked if I could sign for it since I didn't particularly care to watch for our carrier all day and then go running out to see if they have my package and give them my signature. Well that set the clerk off...defense mode went into play and I was told my package wasn't delivered in the first place because I wasn't at home. I told them you don't know if I was home or not. Whatta you got? A surveillance camera on my house? I was home all day and said the reason I didn't get my package is because it's happened before and our carrier is just lazy. The clerk spurted out for me to call their supervisor if I had a problem. It rolled off her tongue so easily she must repeat it at least 50 times a day. The icing on the cake was when I asked for stamps. I wanted 30 and was told the rolls come in 100 only. Really? I have to get a roll? Then she said I could get a sheet but they only come in 20 or 40. I only wanted 30 and she hemmed and hawed so I told her to just give me 40. God forbid you have to split a sheet! I noticed "regulars" coming in that everyone was super nice to. I guess they haven't had a problem yet as that's when they get messy. UPS or FedEx only for me!! ******** I went back today to see if they could find my package (again) and there was a whole different crew there. They had a great attitude and found my package in about 30 seconds. So I guess I'll bump up to 3 stars because I'm still pissed about the first crew on my original review. read more

Central Irving Post Office at 2300 Story Rd W, Irving, TX 75038 is the embodiment of everything that is wrong with "government business". I will only interact with them unless it is absolutely the only option. Of the 13 US zip codes I've lived in, this post office (and it's staff) are the most unprofessional I've ever encountered! They will tamper with your mail, claim packages are delivered when they weren't, and be outright hostile to your face. Know that moving to/living in Irving will come with this drawback. DO NOT call in or visit in person unless you've got an hour to kill and nowhere to be afterwards. These post office employees clearly can't (wont) be fired. read more

I visited this place several times and 90% of the time, the line is nearly out the door. Sometimes there's only 2 people working the counter. The wait is too terrible. Just like any other government office, you're expected to wait, so plan accordingly. Today was my most recent visit and was so surprised there was no one in front of me. Post Office errands today was a breeze. Kind of great to not have to endure one of those waits where I'd have to stare deeply at my phone to distract me from my impatience. read more

Typical post office; long lines with only a couple of stations open. What impressed me is the assistant supervisor. He communicated with people in the line; he apologized for the wait and helped where he could. When I informed him of my transaction he brought me over the appropriate materials so that I could make use of my time in line. I've never had that happen at a post office. read more

Terrible. Avoid avoid avoid. Lady behind counter has a horrible attitude. Mailed something through the self service station in the lobby. A month later, my friend never received the gift, so I come back here to ask about it, only to notice the deposit box for the self service station is covered with signs saying not to use it and it's taped shut. I went to just ask if there was a chance my package was locked in there. They said no, we don't have anything. I asked if there was a chance they took it out and held the package in the back? They said "did you not hear what i just said?" I asked if there was any way to take the info on my receipt and see if the package went out. They said, "if you would have paid for tracking, we could track it." Finally, i just said can we just check the deposit box just to be sure? And they said "look, it's not allowed to be used anymore because it's not secure" So basically you're saying there's a good chance my package was stolen, and that's just too bad for me. Well, at least I know why the USPS is a failing part of the government. Thanks to these folks, I'll be a contributing factor too. read more

I have been blown away by the customer service given at this location. I had a package lost in the mail and (of course) I was panicking., I called to office and spoke with Michael Loya. He is the greatest. After a few days of trying to help me over the phone, he actually went out and did my post man entire route until he found my package. He went door to door, and delivered it to my apartment office. Michael, if you are reading this, it's people like you who make all the difference in the world. Thanks sooooo much!!! read more
