Since moving to kanab in 2003 this post office has been problematic. It's either rudeness or incompetence or both. There have been some together people scattered in there. I was staying at an AirBnB in Kanab and needed some stuff urgently for a backpacking trip. I ordered the items from Amazon (4 separate packages) and they all seem to have been delivered to an incorrect address in Kanab (turns out the drivers are fairly new). I went and spoke with the folks in the PO and honestly had lost hope of getting the items. However, two days later, all the 4 items were delivered to my address. I am a happy camper. Thanks so much to the ladies at the Kanab Post Office who expedited the search for these missing packages, found them and then delivered them to me in time for my trip. Two thumbs up! read more

There is almost never a line, and the staff are friendly and efficient. I've never had any problem here. They are very helpful and really know the area. read more

It started last July with the Postman putting my package inside that gate at my house--I have a dog and she's been around for a while. Needless to say it got demolished. Over the next month 4 more packages met the same demise. Christmas, 6 packages were delivered next door. The postman fixed that, but then in process of dropping them at my house--again attempting to put inside the gate, my dog bumped the gate just as he was unlatching and I startled him saying Ill take those--he didn't realize I was standing there at the window. He tried to play it off as if the gate was unlocked--Not. The latest incident was my husband again standing at a window watched the postman put the package in front of the gate and watched the dog grab it, pull it under. He did nothing and then realized my husband just watched the whole thing. When confronted at the main office, no apologies, no I'm sorry, nothing. Their response is--I now longer get packages delivered to my house. They are "afraid" of my dog. I get packages slips with "Animal Inj" and I have to come into town to get them. I even purchased a dropbox for the other side of driveway--away from yard--UPS and FedEx have no problem--for them to deliver to. Still refusing. New postmaster could care less. One postman in particular got caught on more than one occasion dropping packages off inside the gate or just outside where the dog could grab under, and I'm the one who get penalized. read more

There is a new postmaster at the Kanab Post Office. I have stayed in Kanab for the past 5 years and have my mail forwarded from home. it has always been easy to get the key for my home's mailbox down the street. NOT this year! Wow, talk about rude and unhelpful service, and SLOW! read more

It's a real shame that one cannot share a problem with the post office without having your claim refuted by an employee. Yes, packages ARE left on top of group mailboxes, and YES problems do occur because of that. Hanging up on a customer is not a reasonable way to handle a problem. My delivery, marked "FRAGILE", was left on top of such a box, it was not placed evenly in the center, it fell off, and was run over by the postal delivery truck!!! Result- no acceptance of fault whatsoever! Great job USPS!! Just spectacular. No wonder you're running out of money. read more
