After getting my information about my first package I tried to tell her that I had another one but she ignored me and went to the back. We called this post office to ask some questions about money orders and the woman answered the first question and then after the second one she rudely told us "You just need to come in and they will answer your questions." First off we were calling and asking before we took the time to drive down there because if we ended up not needing the money order then it would be a waste of everyone's time. Secondly, is answering customer questions not part of her job? If not then why do they have the number that we called and why did she answer it? I could go on with a list of other things but I don't want to waste my time, much like her apparently. So after we were treated so rudely in a matter of minutes, I decided I was going to write a review and when I found this post office's page it was already as low as it could be... go figure! It seems like they are doing something right... I cannot believe some of the people that are employed by our United States Postal Service... and the higher ups seem not to care one bit. This is a review concerning a package processed here. My husband order some African dwarf frogs from a seller in that region. We live in California and the package was posted for urgent 2 day mail. Not only did my husband have to call the office because the package was delayed five days. We ended up getting a damaged box, that was opened with the frogs stuck in another package, water soaked, and smashed. This is beyond poor, this place is horrible. For the locals in the area if you are sending our urgent or fragile mail consider going FedEx. read more

Has got to be one of the worst post offices in America. They never deliver any packages and always give you a slip to go pick it up. Even then you might have to wait a few days before they'll give it to you. The staff is rude and impatient too which can make it a nightmare. read more

Even though I personally HATE yelp, I came here just to give kudos to our favorite mail courier Dan V! He is the most organized mail person I have ever met and hustles to get things done. He is always smiling and friendly . Dan easily makes this post office great purely by association. Very friendly staff. I always miss my "attempted deliveries" so I call same day to see if the courier is back and if I'm able to pick up when I get off. They take the time to hunt for my package and have always had it ready when I come in . Granted I have to wait in line but from what I see, the staff all work fairly quickly, efficiently and still have great customer service when you get to the counter. read more

Kent, WA USPS should get a negative 5 rating. All tracking from the lower 48 states to Alaska either ENDS or gets delayed for days or weeks in Kent,WA. I called the local number to the Kent Post Office on 240 th street. The phone was ringing about 50 times each time, as I was trying for 45 minutes. At all times except three occasions the machine gave a noise like FAX equipment, but 3-4 times the phone was picked up and immediately hung up on. When it got finally answered the woman was very impolite, unhelpful and arrogant. Use FEDEX or UPS instead. Depressing service, typical government stuff, no wonder the USPS is going under. read more

My tracking number said my package was delivered to my key access mail but I wasn't there so I went to my local post office and they after pulling up my tracking number said I needed to go to this post office. So I went to the post office to see if they had my package or info and the woman running the pickup counter treated me like garbage. She couldn't pull up my tracking number so I showed her that the USPS website could pull it up and explained that the other location had pull it up and sent me here she started accusing me of implying that she wasn't doing her job and then walked away and only returned to service other customers and wouldn't even look at me. Her supervisor couldn't pull up the tracking number either and ask that I come back with a print out from the other location deposit me having it up on my phone with their website. I never once raised my voice or made a rude remark and was made to feel like I was just a nuisance. read more

Avoid this location!!! I waited for 15-20 minutes to pick up my mail only to be told there is a separate line for that. I asked how anyone would know that and was told that the clerk announces it occasionally. Well, I never heard any announcement and if I had I would have been in the wrong line anyhow. Add to this, that two of the three clerks on duty clearly only spoke English as a second language. Also, the lobby is closed on Sunday so you cannot access the Self-service postage machine. Getting in and out of the parking area is difficult. read more

USPS needs to be closed permanently. they fuck up every package delivery, their automated machine is bull shit. You select an option but it never takes you to it. you can't get a hold of a person, it is very frustrating to have a postal service that never works right. The drivers always claim they deliver but you never get your packages. I had a few items purchased on Amazon, for some reason Amazon uses the postal service to ship, the post office in my area said if the package weighs more than nine pounds they will not deliver however they signed up to deliver. This is the most frustrating service ever and I blame Amazon as well for using such useless form to deliver. USPS is just greedy to take on a contract and not uphold it. The message on my tracking states that the delivery was attempted but the mailbox was full. That much is obvious because I bought thirty pounds of dog food that will never fit in a mailbox, so how stupid are the people working for the postal service. You can't fit a donkey up a rabbit ass. The people at the post office are too lazy to look for your package after they fuck it up and you go to the physical office to pick it up, they just say it is not there the driver delivered it. Unfortunately I actually have to put a star, but this post office deserves zero. I took 8 packages - 6 first class and 2 Priority - to the counter. The clerk was rude, did not scan the packages and tossed them in the USPS basket. They were never scanned in and the 8 customers that were supposed to receive these items haven't. I have had to refund out of my own pocket and now have 8 unhappy customers that will not be returning to my business. I will be taking my future business to another USPS or UPS altogether. read more

Garbage. Rude, slow, lazy employees who lock the doors early for self-service, so that you can't go in to get your mail, even if it isn't supposed to be closed yet. I arrived a full 20 minutes before 6pm today, and the door was already locked. What's the point of having hours posted on the door, if employees don't have to go by it of they don't feel like it? Get a box at a UPS. I've had both, and have to say, UPS /usually/ has way better customer service. As in, they actually care about the customer, not just themselves. God,what a nightmare. A package was mailed using Priority mail from Portland, Ore. last Friday and received by this office. The mail carrier left an invoice for more money and when I arrived at the office to pay and pick up the parcel, they could not find the item I have been chasing the mail carrier for two days to track the package and finally she phoned and said it had been there at the office the entire time. I am now 0 for 5 with packages being lost. I unfortunately order a lot of stuff online and will avoid the USPS like a plague unless I have no option to choose otherwise. The first time I had a box of checks that never made it to my hand and low and behold someone almost cleared out my bank account in 3 weeks. So I go to the Kent police and this post office what do they tell me to do? Buy a locked mail box. So I said F*** it and went out and bought the biggest and most well reviewed one I could find. Few months later I had to order another package and this one arrived in my mail box! But wait upon grabbing the package I realize someone has torn it open and and the package is now empty! What does this post office say? Well it must of "fell" out during shipping should of had insurance on it. Yeah insurance on a $5 item. Next they deliver another package to the wrong house luckily this neighbor had the courtesy to walk the package over to me. I have also gotten numerous mail and packages for different addresses around my neighborhood. I now walk to the houses and personally deliver their goods to make sure they know that this post office has once again F***** up. Lastly, on my last package I fought with the company not to ship via USPS but they assured me that it will arrive and they will even get a conformation on it! Sure enough I got confirmation that it was delivered! I run out check my mail box and nothing is there! I work from home also by the way so unless someone was crafty enough to come to my drive way some how break open my box with out me knowing about it in roughly 25 min from said delivery time till I checked my box then something else is going on. Every time I go into this place the wait line is long and it goes by very slow. So in order to not deal with the line or employees I decided to pay for my package label through the self help machine in the lobby. A week later I receive my package with a return to sender sticker since I apparently chose the wrong option, my envelope is considered small not large. A simple mistake, I went in there to get answers in order to not have this happen again. I had the lady explain it to me, and I tried explaining to her why I had been confused. Her co-worker next to her decides to interrupt and talk down to me saying I must of not read the screen correctly and how she can go show me, implying I must be too dumb to do it my self. She was extremely rude and had an ugly attitude. I understand my problem must be annoying to her, but in the customer service world that is not how you talk to a customer. I told her I did not need her to show me, I'm the one being inconvenienced in this situation and the last thing I wanted to deal with was a rude employee. She called her supervisor and I gladly spoke with him. I let him know what happened, I informed him: "Just about every where I look online, your location is listed as 1 star, that is the rating your community is rating your business. The rude employee behind the counter is the face of your business and it does not reflect well on the supervisor". I work retail - customer service, even if you have a mean, screaming customer, you always remain composed and try to solve the customer's problem, you are on the customer's side and always on their team, making the customer happy is the goal in the end. What this post office gives is NOT customer service, have some pride in your work ethic. I never had this problem at UPS, I'm going to be looking into somewhere else to take my mail, it is just not worth the headache going in to this place. wow, what is up with the mail carrier? (i was told this location was where our local postman came from) here it is only wednesday and so far i have received my next door neighbors mail today, and earlier this week i received mail for a neighbor one street over. god only knows where my own mail is at. unfortunately this is not the first time, but rather an almost weekly happening. then of course there is the times that it is delivered (or not) anywhere from the earliest of about 1pm to nights of later than 8pm. makes me wonder when i do not receive mail which household is going thru my mail, or is it laying in the gutter? true story, a year or so back my next door neighbor found a bundle of undelivered mail laying on the side of the road (several household's worth of mail, not just a letter or two). guess since there is no alternative to who delivers the mail (the postoffice or nobody, can't switch carriers like the phone company) they just no longer care about how, when, or where the mail is delivered. read more

There's no signage that tells you that the package pick up line is separate from the outgoing mail line. I waited 10 minutes in line and was told by one of the cashiers when I was next up that I need to get to the back of the package pick up line. A simple sign will help! read more

Went to the post office today after I got a package back say insufficient address. This address was my daughter, and has lived there for 2 years, a house not an apartment, it was returned because the postal carrier in California was a fill in and could not find the house (seriously). I was told to take it the post office once I get back have them resend it. Soooooo I did. The postal women working, Lynn a older Asian lady with glasses we working. I waited in line for 15 minutes. I explained what had happen, they said they would not call the other post office, the address was bad so they would not resend it it was my fault. I texted my daughter, she texted back the address, the lady with the glasses was rude, she said I had to call the other post office. I asked to the supervisor in charge. She left came back said he be right out. 15 minutes later I am still waiting. I now am on the phone with customer relations at the post office. I asked what the supervisors name. I do not know his name I just got back from vacation. As I keep asking to speak to the person in charge. A guy in a sweatshirt comes out, with blue gloves on saying I am the postmaster. Then says NOT and breaks out laughing, 3 minutes later different guy but same stupid comment. Then to top it off they call the police saying I had threaten them. The police show up, and were shocked at the women's behavior and apologized to me. They also said they do not use that post office because the women are sooooo rude.
