Like a post office from another time. I'm guessing the last cleaning or renovation here was in 1998 or so. Smells much like an abandoned library and is somehow amazingly the closest post office to the entire Summerlin area. Every employee is entirely over it. I was under the impression that postal employees got paid reasonably well but you'd get better attitudes from a teenager at dollar general than you do here. The lines are always, always long. As per usual with anything involving shipping there will be a dozen people before you that have apparently never shipped or received mail and require the unlucky employee to explain that no, transporters don't yet exist, yes, overnight mail is expensive, stamps do indeed cost "that much" and sure enough there is no federally mandated guarantee that their shipment of valuable and vintage long john's may not arrive in Switzerland by exactly 8:30am the following day. Still though. I mail a lot. It a a business thing. I'm one of those people who print their labels and tape their boxes and just usually need to drop it off. Of course their automated machine has been broken since Clinton was in office so... I wait in line. However. Lord forbid your local postal carrier just gets lazy and doesn't leave any info in your box or on your door, and doesn't drop it in your mailbox or by your door. No, more often than not he takes your package here. Awaiting your pickup. You won't know it, until it just fails to arrive. This happens with alarming frequency. Doesn't matter if your package is $10 or $1000. It sits here waiting for you to psychically divine that it's ready for you. Except it's not. See, at the counter you can see a bit of the back. Piles and piles of boxes and trash all kind of just mixed together. Somewhere in there is your package. Maybe. Not mine, not in two different cases. Two different packages over a 3 months span have just evaporated. Tracking stops here. Searches yield no result. Insurance claims auto denied. Your recourse? Hope the company that shipped the package is in a good mood and can reship. Nevada is great. Summerlin is great. This post office? It's a portal to hell. Ship any other method if you want any form of reliability. read more

service requested: i needed to some quickest shipping to my cousin in LA for a phone he forgot in my possession. They had the envolope and even advised me to buy bubble wrap to make sure the phone would not be damaged in transit. quality: it always so dark in there it feels so depressing but its government funded so what can you do about it. value: shipping things isn't as expensive as I imagine it. I have given up on my local post office on Russell because the line is always outside the door and it's disorganized and understaffed. This rainbow location, provides me with better use of my time and energy. Yes it's a few miles further but it's well worth it. I got a very helpful and polite lady who went above board to fix an issue that the Russell post office caused me. I wish I had her name, but she was a superstar. read more

Took pre-labeled package to this location, there was no problem. The staff were patient and professional. There was an obtuse customer ahead of me. And while you could tell that the clerk was slightly annoyed, he was so patient to show her how to use her own app on her own phone. It's relatively not busy during the week. It's not the cleanest post office with standard lack of decoration. They do not staff heavily so avoid during after work hours and lunch time. read more

If I could do ZERO STARS I WOULD! Absolutely do not send your packages from this post office. They stole my Apple Watch out of my package! That was a $800 watch, gone. It was last scanned at this location 14 days ago and it pinged in New Jersey! I already reported it to the inspector general. Absolutely disgusting behavior. This is our local post office. We came here last saturday because we dropped off 29 letters for someone who used to live at our home, but getting this guy's stuff is ridiculous, for over three years now. JEEZ. The female clerk did not know what to do. Hubby called the sender, a medical insurance provider, and I chatted with the sender on FB messenger. Hubby said that he will throw them out, and she advised not to do that, because it is First Class mail. Also had flat rate envelopes, which is very card to come by, at the regular USPS locations that I regularly visit on rotation. read more

Horrible service, the staff behind the counter so t help you, the self service machine is down, they're aware of it not working well and instead of helping customers they say "you have to do it" when the self service machine does it for customers yet the counter he'll work t do anything..!!! Something has to be done about this place. My package was stolen by the mail man/woman. I have had most of my packages stolen from this place. I have called the USPS which they always say my package is not eligible for a claim so I cant get even my money back. All the thieves working there need to get fired. I stopped by to mail a few Christmas packages and saw multiple cars in the parking lot and feared it would be a long wait. I was in and out in under five minutes. Staff kept the lines moving and directed customers professionally and politely in all their needs and questions. I have been to this location multiple times and have always had a great experience. read more

Post office was under staffed and nothing was stalked for shipping supplies. After 15 minutes of waiting finally two other workers came out to help the line was out the door to the entrance of the post office. One of the ladies that came out to check people out mentioned that she was leaving in 15 minutes. She came to each person in line and asked what they were doing. People that had wrong boxes she guided them to the right shipping box, who ever was sending express priority mail she gave slips to fill out, ect. She went back to the till and got through the line super quickly. If only she was out on the line checking people out I would have given 5 stars because that lady deserves 5 stars but with the ridiculous wait and shipping supplies was empty of practically everything I had to rate lower. I have filed MULTIPLE Complaints w/the Post Master, but He/She must be EQUALLY WORTHLESS b/c the Issue(s) get kicked back to LOW-LEVEL(!) "Supervisors" to get Resolved...at $118/6mos for a Lock Box, the Piss-Poor "Service" is nothing short of a Bad Joke about govt THEFT(!) of the general public. With so much mail theft here in Vegas, your options are LIMITED. HOWEVER, the CLOWNS "Working" at this location KNOW THEY CAN'T BE FIRED as long as they Don't *Steal & Don't be *LATE FOR WORK.....WTF???
