I just really want to know what these people do while on the clock, dropped off a package here 2 weeks ago and it sat at their facility for 5 days and no one could tell me where my package was . . they tried blaming another delivery service until they finally admitted they had the package all along. . Decided to give them another chance to redeem themselves and left a package there 4 days ago and it hasn't moved at all. I understand that there's a lot going on rn but there is no excuse. I run a business and need my packages to be delivered in a timely manner. Went to another post office yesterday and my packages are already on their way to their destination. THERE IS NO EXCUSE. This is a cute little post office with good location and fast moving windows even when their is a line. Good supplies and packing materials available. If you need the right size bubble wrap mailer or rectangle box they prolly have it. But I surevwish Saturday hours were longer. Maybe get some community funding to extend Saturday hrs. I live in a nursing home and bits hard to get out during the week. But limited Saturday transportation makes going downtown to the main USPS for mailing awkward and untenable. If this post office was open until 5 pm and that dropoff was put in the downtown same day, it would be great. read more

Never in my life have I written a negative review but all of the employees at this post office are rude and are not operating by USPS rules and protocols. I went in to request forwarding services (a service that is supposed to be FREE). I filled everything out there and asked the clerk if that was all that I needed and he said yes. A few days later I get a call that it will cost 19.95 per person to forward mail for a temporary amount of time. read more

i hate mail and the post office is the home of mail. mail has ruined my life. i once got lost in here and ended up in the sorting room there was a man in a hood throwing junk mail in all the sorting slots i was distraught and felt frail i fell to the floor. when i came too vision still blurred a green man was standing over me wearing no pants. i told the staff and was scoffed at, no one believed me. this was back in 2000 the year christmas was ruined. i hope they've gotten their act together since then. read more

Updated review: there was satisfactory follow up by the Supervisor regarding a package that went to the wrong address 4 months ago. However, the process was like pulling teeth and I still have little confidence in the carriers and Manager based on numerous experiences. read more

Go somewhere else!! Your mail will either get lost or not delivered!! I live overseas Military but we use USPS on base, no problem. My Sister would complain about this post office losing the stuff I sent her or not delivering it to her, I was like whatever. I just thought she was being lazy. Anyhow, I was in East Los visiting family recently and bought expensive crap I had to send to myself in order not to deal with all the baggage. My sister warned me, dont go there!! I went there because of the convenience of being there already. I have not received anything yet, USPS tracking still shows it in LA, over a month ago!! Calling the office just keeps the phone ringing! Chingado! and calling the 800 number they tell me the same stuff I already see on the tracking site. A week before the Boyle heights office I went with the Chinitos in Lincoln heights and when I got back home, Bam! the Chinitos package was waiting!! I am so upset with this Post Office they have been holding my mail for over two weeks!!!! According to them there is a vicious dog on my property, my dog barks but hes inside the gate. Ive been there TWICE to try to fix this problem and to speak to a supervisor but he is NEVER there and the staff is rude and they dont want to return my mail at least to me in person since Im already there They claim they have to go and see my mailbox, but no one goes. I mainly come here when I need to pick up a missed delivery at home, or to get mailing supplies. It's small, and understaffed but the A/C is glorious on a hot day. The employees are always friendly to me. It's open on Saturday until 2:30, which is a plus. read more

I came to the post office thinking I was going to have to wait in a long line and having to spend my whole lunch here, and when I got there I noticed that there was a lot of people but the line was moving very quickly. I noticed that one of the employees was quickly moving customers out the line, and when it was my turn to go she quickly help me and got me out. Her name is Patricia she is very kind,friendly,had a great attitude,and knew how to do her job. If you come in to the Boyole heights post office I hope your as lucky as I was to have meet her, she is the best postal employee there and the best customer service that I have seen in a long time. read more

On Monday October 16, 2017, I drove to my neighborhood post office to ship some boots I sold on the App Depop. The item was bought randomly and I just wanted to provide good customer service and ship ASAP. Before I start, I'd like to mention that I ship items here and there so a previous time I was at this post office,I actually bought a role of tape. A roll of tape in which I honestly thought I had left in my car where it would be more of value to me since I'm always on the go. Anyways, as I arrived to the post office, I checked my car to find out my practically new roll of tape was not there. I thought to myself "no big deal" hoping I would run into someone with tape, or perhaps the post office workers would be kind enough to tape my shipment for me. I went inside and I immediately asked some girl next to me if she had tape because I had noticed a box she was packing, was taped. Unfortunately, I guess she found the box taped and was also hoping the workers would complete the taping. She got in line while I packed my package in a Small box. She arrived to a window where and older Caucasian lady with nice blonde hair and glasses helped her. Mind the pretty open space, so I was able to hear the girl ask the lady if she didn't mind taping her shipment. The lady seemed hesitant but agreed. The girl then looked over at me and reassured me that they would tape my package if I didn't have tape. I thought, "cool' but i couldn't help but notice the look the lady gave me when the younger girl communicated that with me. I shook it off and decided to ask a man who was also working there if he had tape he could kindly let me use. He seemed unconvinced because the same Caucasian lady worker a couple windows down, murmured something about me just buying a roll of tape. Sure, I had no problem buying one, but I did not think it was necessary for I have a brand new one at home that I would use in future occasions. Anyways, the guy gave me a "don't mind her" glare as he transferred a role of tape through the side window where you usually place your packages on so the workers can take in. I expressed my "thank you" to the guy and went along to tape my package. As I was finishing and before I finally made line to be helped, I returned the tape through the same window it was given to me. Hoping I would not get the Caucasian lady to help me, I was next in line. Sure enough, the lady was available and called "next". As I was walking toward her window..she stopped me and said "I think you should have the guy who let you borrow the tape help you" at first i was confused and i replied with "ok, but I don't have the tape, I gave it back just seconds ago" she then says "well, I still think he should help you" I was honestly in disbelief and found it completely ridiculous that I assertively asked " Are you really going to refuse service to me because I borrowed tape?!" she then looked as shocked as I was and responded while looking down with a "no". So she proceeded to help me because I stood up for myself and well,..honestly people around that saw what was happening would think she'd be a complete bitch if she were to actually refuse service because of tape. I couldn't really understand why she would act this way over tape? Maybe it was because I am latina? but even then, this lady has worked at the Boyle Heights Post office for so long if she wanted to be re-located because of the majority race in the community, I'm pretty damn sure she would have the request accepted. After, I thought, maybe it's because I have bright red hair and countless tattoos. Even then, that's a load of shit! I have been living here in Boyle Heights less than one year. I am in zip code 90033. My post office is at East 1st Street and Cummings it's a tiny post office with no Services such as any machines and there are no mailboxes outside of the facility so that you can go there and deposit your mail. It really sucks I've gone inside to talk to the people in the post office and ask them about other services such as the FedEx and UPS which do not deliver to my building because there is no access. They told me that there is a new deal with the United States Post Office and FedEx and UPS well it doesn't work. I live on State Street. I have had packages that gets deposited right outside my mailbox that are clearly marked for Boyle Avenue. I don't touch them. I left it there and a couple days later the box was ripped open and the contents were stolen. It happened to be a VA delivery. I don't want to complain about my mailman because that will just cause more problems. What do I do? I also asked the people inside the post office 90033 where are the mailboxes out in the neighborhood. There is one by White Memorial Hospital about five blocks away from me but apparently the thugs break into these mailboxes so that's why they don't have them out in the street. This last semester was a nightmare because of these people. Missed an assignment because they, as usual, "couldn't deliver my package". Apparently a small textbook didn't fit in my mailbox. The day they put the slip on my door, there was literally no other mail in my mailbox and when I finally got to pick it up, it fit. I checked. The package was under my boyfriends name; we share the same address. Oops on our behalf, but I thought since we shared the same address it would be fine. So I get in line, have the slip and show her my ID. "Who's "my boyfriends name"?" "My boyfriend, but we share the same-" Lady throws the slip at me through the little slit in the window. "Well have him pick it up, then" Turns around and yells "Next" while I stand there with my mouth open. Yeah I was dumb to think they might still give me the package, yeah I should have called even though it's like a minute drive but damn. I don't think I've gotten that much attitude from people that probably had the right to give me attitude. Like for real. Blonde lady with glasses (sometimes she takes them off). It is sad that the Boyle Heights Post Office has a very poor home deliveries of mail going to the wrong address example; on 2700 -2800 Block of Cincinnati, 2700-2800 Block of Folsom, 2700-2800 Block of Boulder, and 2700-2800 Block of Malabar Street, Los Angeles, CA 90033-3125, all of us mostly dialog with one another at the Senior Citizen Centers at ether Wabash or at Evergreen. The Postmaster needs to check randomly their sack ensured that they are put into order go out in the field, and check those carriers as well! Check if any hold back delivers are held due to overlook by mail carriers which deliver our mail back etc ! read more

I have been requesting a lock for my apartment building mail box since November 2016 and have been back several times to re-request it with no result. The first few times I went in, they had me put my information on a sticky (how's that for professionalism) with the promise that it would get done. They said that it would take approximately six months because they were back-logged. Well it's been more than six months. It's been more than a year and a halve. The last time I went in I spoke with the manager Mr. Ortiz and he wrote down my name this time on a form that he had with other requests. This was 2/21/17 and still no lock. read more

I mailed an express envelope Thursday 11-13 to be delivered Friday 11-14 but it never arrived. I called the 800 number on the receipt and they told me it was not even in the system and that I had to go back to the post office to find out what they did with it. I dropped off a package and asked for confirmation of acceptance which they wouldn't give me, then they proceeded to lose the package. When I went to so them if it was still there, they refused to check and said, and I quote, "Well, what do you want us to do? I don't want to pass the buck, but we don't scan them." I said "What? So it's my fault you lost it?" and they said "Well I dunno, call the customer service." Wonderful. Usually a blonde lady who works there who is super sweet, but I ended up with a pregnant girl who wouldn't look at me, who went and got a dude with a mustache who kept saying he didn't know the answer to anything. They wouldn't even check the tracking number. I said "I bought the shipping September 6th, the tracking just says 9/07, shipping info received, to which he kept saying "907 is a post office. not this one." and I kept saying, no, it's a date. The date you received it here." and he didn't understand that. He didn't understand that numbers can be dates. HE DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THAT NUMBERS CAN BE DATES. read more
