I want to call out the Maple Grove USPS for their excellent service, especially Nayla (Neila?) who helped me twice over the last six weeks as I've been working to get the mail of my deceased adult son forwarded to my address for estate purposes. Nayla was incredibly kind, compassionate, and helpful. Especially today--a VERY busy mailing day before Christmas when the lobby was packed with people--Nayla made me feel like the only person in the room and made clear that I mattered. I am grateful for her kindness and empathy during a difficult time for me and a busy holiday time for the postal service. read more

This place used to have amazing staff who were friendly and efficient, especially Yvonne and Henry. However, since they left, service has gone downhill drastically. Jeremy, in particular, is consistently unpleasant--he's short, unhelpful, and always seems irritated. They claim the issues are due to being short-staffed, but even the supervisor, Stephanie, was horrendous to work with. The friendly and professional atmosphere that made this place great is completely gone, and it's really disappointing. read more

Who even likes going to the post office, right? I have never meet anyone in my life that is excited to have to go here. All you can hope is that you are out there was quick as possible and you are able to get what you need done. At this location getting out quickly is hardly a possibility and getting what you need done ends up in the hands of faith. Location: This post office is located in Maple Grove just down the road from Arbor Lakes. It's not the easiest to spot or really get to but it's nice to have it near a central location. This is your typical post office, as in there are shippers, mailers, po boxes, and the normal area where you need to talk to someone at the counter. The only thing that sets this one apart is it has its on self service kiosk which not all post offices have. This is the reason this location gets a 2 and not a 1 from me. It's saving grace is able to go after hours when no one is there and mail you boxes out in peace with the kiosk. The problem is about 1 out of every 4 times I've been there it isn't working. Besides that if you've been to a USA official post office you definitely already know the look, smell, and what to expect from it. This location does nothing to set its self out of the normalcy of a post office. Experience: This is where it gets the bad review from me. The people that work here when ever I have been here have been slow, unhelpful, and not willing to do their job. There has been times where the line is literally out the door and there is no sense of haste or wanted to get the job done. After waiting in your long line you finally get up to the counter where you get treated like you shouldn't even be there and how dare you bring mail to the post office. I just don't understand why they don't want to help you get in the door and get you out. Every time I have had to go to the counter it's like they make it part of their job to ruin your day. Overall: There's nothing about this post office that surprises me. It's drab, it's dull, and it's filled with employees that hate customers and customers that wish they could be anywhere else. The only good thing about this place is the self service kiosk so try to do that at all costs instead of dealing with the employees. read more

Usually I have really great service with the Maple Grove Post Office. But today this package arrived jammed in to my mailbox. The box itself is labeled fragile. I had to shimmy the package out of the mailbox in hopes of whatever was delivered was damaged. It also damaged the mail that was put into the mailbox before this package was stuffed in leaving the door to my mailbox open for anyone to take. I'm super disappointed in this service as my doorstep would have been the safer place to leave a fragile package! I would normally give at least 4 stars for the Maple Grove Post Office, but today...I had to give them 1 star....but they didn't even deserve that much!!! read more

I put my mail on hold. Still got packages delivered while out of town. Fantastic! Hope they're there when I get back!! One of many terrible experiences that I am powerless to avoid. Feels good. Another recent notable event includes incompetence getting refunded on a shipment of live animals who arrived at their destination two days later than promised. (They lived, but the stress on all parties was excessive.) Never ship live animals with USPS, always ship with UPS. read more

My husband spotted a mail truck and said there must be a post office around and I told said it was probably a lone truck delivering mail to the businesses in the Arbor Lakes area. Sure enough, there was a fleet of trucks parked and there was a post office. Nice enough post office with a nice enough gentleman checking me out. Prices a little shocked at which doesn't reflect anything negative about the place. Its just how the USPS prices their stuff. I thought the "Forever" stamp price was supposed to be priced forever. Apparently not. Its now .46 compared to .41 back in 2007. Shows you how much I buy stamps. I needed to mail a package that weighed a little over 2 lb. He tried to get me to do overnight for $40.00- umm.. no thanks! The package is no hurry to get there. I told him the cheapest way possible which = Parcel Post. It was still almost $9.00. He said if it came back there would be yet another extra charge. A tad baffled because the lady in front of me had a package in a box and hers was $6.00 Parcel Post or Priority. Her check out guy said it was the same price either way. I wasn't trying to eaves drop, but I just thought mine would have been cheaper. It must go by zone. Hers maybe wasn't going that far. Luckily there was no line and the gentleman helping me was very nice. Place was well stocked with shipping supplies and clean. Great and convenient location if you need to mail something by the Arbor Lakes area. read more

Post Office? More like mail graveyard... These guys have about a 3/4 success rate for not losing a package when delivering it to my house. I have to call them, wait a week, then find out it's been sitting on a shelf the whole time and they "are really surprised that that happened!" The Maple Grove Post Office is perhaps the worst case scenario when dealing with a government office, which is saying a lot. I have spoken to 6 people at the Post Office (one person I was lucky enough to speak with on 3 different occasions) and it has been 5 full weeks since my first call. You'd think I would be asking for something out of the ordinary, but no - I am asking the Post Office to DELIVER MY MAIL. That's it. Isn't that their job? I recently started a new business and the Post Office has been telling me for 5 weeks that the mailbox is set up and I should be getting mail, but nope. I have not received one piece of mail, which have caused delays for me in setting up my business. Perhaps one of their problems is that they have given me 2 different potential mailboxes, one of which already belongs to another business in the area. Everytime I call, it's the same story, the same crabby, non-personable type person answering the phone. And everytime I call, I'm the one that's left feeling like I'm the idiot. But at the end of the day, I still have no mail and it's then that I realize that the Maple Grove Post Office is full of idiots. This is the worst post office I have ever had the displeasure of using. The employees are lazy and slow and completely unconcerned about your post office needs. I have a lot of post office needs, for I am an Etsy artist and I require a reputable establishment to ship my creations weekly. I've had many orders held up due to the failures of the staff that have misplaced them or possibly delayed the shipping on purpose because I have a very strong personality and have complained in person to them. I will use UPS or FedEx for all my shipping needs now and forever. This place represents everything that is wrong with America. I used to think the DMV was the worst circle of hell, but the Maple Grove post office has taken its place. Get rid of the vile, cynical staff and give the jobs to people who will actually work hard for the competitive, generous pay that post office workers receive! More than once letters and checks have failed to be delivered on time and if I address this ongoing problem, I am brushed aside and treated like a pest. I would give NEGATIVE STARS! If i had a recording on this "BITCH" I would upload it here. She didn't give me her name initially so i called her a Bitch for hanging up on me. I called her back only for her to hang up on me a few times before telling me that she has my address on file so I should stop calling. Was this a threat? I find it to be. She is an employee of USPS !!!! Is this how USPS train their employees? To hang up and threat customers? For me to hear this from her was UNCOMFORTABLE. On top of that she told me she had already called the police which I thanked her for BECAUSE she would save me the trouble. I then called the Postal One Customer service office, spoke to Ms Spill. She was able to give me to Northland District Consumers Affairs Office at 612-349-4401, spoke to MaryJoe who then was able to find me the number Bitch could have given me in the first place once she pulled up the tracking number. MaryJoe then states she will call to the Maple Grove location and have a "talk" with the Bitch. I don't know what will come of it if MaryJoe called or not but I hope she did. MaryJoe cut off the information that this other postal was going to give me to call the Postal Inspector. I was able to retrieve a number to call and share the story of this Bitch I encountered. 612-884-7896. I am hoping to hear something back about this issue since it seems to be ok for an USPS employees to be treating customers this way. I wouldn't want anyone to experience what happened to me today. I just wanted help. Lastly there is a report done with the police already. Please treat people with how you want to be treated. ESP when you are a costumers needing help. All i needed was a phone number. MAPLE GROVE BITCH and who ever was there with you laughing- this message is for you. I know you are in a UNIONIZED workplace environment so nothing will happen to you BUT with your attitude, I feel sorry for the people around you and the people who you supposedly "HELP". This location is a great example of why the post office is going broke. They haven't a clue about customer service or how to deliver packages. I shipped a package from their kiosk located in lobby/priority mail ($45 bucks) and they lost it. BUT you can't file a claim until after 30 days. So my mom doesn't get her gift until they get their 30 days to find out who screwed up or which worker stole it. Also, Maple Grove carries are too LAZY to get out of the mail truck to deliver package to your door, instead they smash it into your mailbox. Long story short, use a shipping service that knows how to do their job, anyone BUT the Unites States Postal Service. read more

The rep told is not needed, well guess what, I received a letter from the passport agency that it was needed and had to be sent in. We have had terrible service with this post office. We are a small local business in the area and had to put our mail on hold due to a plow hitting our mail box. Our carrier has been nothing but rude, when we did get a new mail box I asked how to go about getting it keyed for the post office to access it she had no idea and just complained about how she doesn't like the new box. We had customers in the lobby of our business and they couldn't believe how unprofessional and rude the carrier was. She was also wearing pajama pants which was very unprofessional. read more

Nearly every week I get the wrong mail and return it back into the mail box. It's usually something minor like a magazine subscription or junk mail. The errors happen primarily on weekend deliveries. This has been going on for more than a decade. The regular postman has acknowledged it, but nothing has ever been done to correct it. More recently, I had a neighbor (the same one I usually get their mail for) call me indicating he had received my mail in error. Of course it was an important, time sensitive package from my insurance company - thankful he called to give me a heads up, but unfortunately the delivery did not meet insurance company expectations or mine. They also don't keep their website up-to-date regarding things like passports - found that out several years ago. As for going into the physical post office, I've learned to avoid it at all costs. No one cares. No one moves too quickly. There appears to be a pattern of it across most employees. read more

I had to call 3 times to find my package which was left at my door instead of placed in my mailbox lock box where it should have been placed (it did fit). I won't even go there anymore. I will drive to Plymouth to mail a letter or a package, anything from using this post office even though it is my local post office. I've had packages and letters go missing that I sent, I have requested and paid for proof of delivery and then got responses that they can't get it (but I don't get my money back), it has taken more than a week to get a letter from one side of Maple Grove to another, and some just never make it. There is one particular person there that is invariably surly and rude, and I actually witnessed (and reported) him threatening to throw a woman's package in the garbage a few years ago after an argument at the counter. The delivery people have always been very nice, and helpful -- but I will not go into that post office anymore, nor mail anything from there. read more

Very bad post office. I was shipping a package by Priority Mail, so I went to USPS website, entered all information correctly, such as weight, dimensions,etc. The postage was calculated by the system, and I printed the label and dropped the package at the Maple Grove Post Office. To my surprise, 5 days later, the package showed up at my doorsteps, with a seal saying postage was not enough. The box was all wet by the melting snow. I had the postage calculated from your website, how could it be wrong? But I am pissed off by this post office. I know it had all sorts of problems before. So I drove 8 miles to the Plymouth Post office, and talked to the clerk at the counter. She double checked and confirmed to me that there was no problem with my postage. She apologized to me and helped me repackage and relabel. What a difference. The Maple Grove post office should be closed forever! For me I will drive the extra 8 miles to the Plymouth post office in the future, to avoid any trouble again. read more

Absolutely terrible custimer service in every aspect. My package was scheduled to be delivered on Friday but was delayed until Saturday, next the package was shipped to the wrong address. Went to the post office at noon to find out from an extremely rude female employee that I could come back later when the drivers returned to pick up my package, she took my phone number but only after I requested no less than 5 times that she do so, but of course low and behold I never received a call back. I called them back at 4 pm and was told that none of the packages had been sorted so mine was nowhere to be found, but on the bright side I was told by John during this phone call that my $500 package was not going to be lost anymore on Monday than it is today.
