I mainly use this USPS location for the 2 blue boxes on NW 5th. They are conveniently close to the curb so that you can drive up close enough to put your mail or small packages inside one of the boxes. That is a popular drive-up and you may be waiting a minute to put your mail in the box. This is a popular spot for the businesses in the neighborhood also. You will see a lot of employees carrying bins of mail to drop them off before 5:00 pm when the post office closes. I always like to avoid going inside because of the long lines. read more

The young ladies were very polite and pleasant at the counter. However, prices to ship via USPS are becoming ridiculous! I spent just under $200 to shop the four boxes shown not super large boxes, no over night shipping. One extra small, two small and one medium. Are considered oversized. I'll be traveling and checking the rest in luggage instead of returning with the rest as planned! Update, Day two I went back with three more packages to send. Totaling $238! And as of today the first packages shipped containing my grandkids gifts have not arrived on the yesterday as scheduled, which were all sent priority mail. Typically that's 2-3 days tops. Understood because of holiday the date was longer. Tracking now just says "moving through the network" Come on usps do better! read more

The front door is continually not open and or broken. The drive by mailbox is always over stuffed and sits next to the bike lane making it unusable to cars using the drive by box. I have seen it so overstuffed, one could pull mail out of the box. I always go inside to deposit mail and yet on more than 3 occasions, mail with normal payments to FPL, Bellsouth, etc. are not processed for over 2 weeks. read more

My condominium association was given authorization to install new mailboxes, which we did about 7 MONTHS AGO. Shortly after we made the USPS-approved switch, the USPS informed us that they could not deliver mail to our mailboxes because they needed a new digital lock, and it would take "a very long time" to get this lock. Since then, all 64 units in my condominium have had to go to the branch location, which has yet to be less than slightly irritating and usually a very timely and upsetting event. This place can make anyone go Postal!!!!! I totally understand that expression now. This particular post office has no concept of customer service, time management and is a dysfunctional hot mess at best. Here is my story... I "regrettably " have a PO Box at this post office. If it was just picking up stuff from my P.O. Box and daily returning the wrongly placed mail in my P.O. Box then so be it but every once in a while I get signature required with tracking packages. And receiving one of those is like finding the holy grail. I have been waiting for this package since Wednesday. No one knows where it is. I spent 2hours today in the post office while we tracked down an invisible supervisor who after 30 minutes of looking for him.... "He was in another post office". I guess they didn't get the memo for text technology! Then the attendant kept getting up saying she was going to look for the package and instead I can hear her chit chat about what she did this weekend with another coworker. Meanwhile the line is 12 people deep, no one upfront and you hear laughing right in front of you. This place should be torn down. No wonder we are privatizing post office services. This place is a disaster!!!! And then after you call them out they give you attitude and basically tell you there is nothing they can do. The package is not here. When their system says it is. While I watched the line behind me upset and going through some of the same things I couldn't help but to think.... USPS is useless! I am going to start doing EVERYTHING out of UPS store, DHL, and even Fed-Ex maybe if we all stoped going to the post office they fire all these useless employees and close down these horrifically attended facilities. While the attitudes of the employees are often unwarranted, the overall customer service at this particular branch of the US Post Office is quite helpful. Some of the employees do seem a bit too programmed and use less cognitive problem-solving skills, but I assume that's just the nature of the business. I wish the self-serve hours were more flexible after hours. Other than that, the facility is always clean for the most part and they do a great job of managing the traffic that comes through quite well thus far. read more

Ordered a package online and this is not the first time this happens - this location services my area and I had to come there to try and pickup packages that weren't delivered before (speaking of which - they send you notification to go get it there, but then go ahead and just ship em back to senders). Waited for it for 3-4 days and of course once it got changed to USPS, something had to go wrong. "Customer refused delivery". Lol I live in a condo and was at work - all packages go to receiving or front desk and they never rejected my packages. It's not my fault there was no parking, or that they're understaffed, or if the driver was lazy, or if they took it to the wrong building, or whatever the reason is - just don't BS me with the "customer refused delivery". it is almost as if this post office knows exactly what is the best way to conduct its business and then does intentionally does the opposite. They dont answer phones, are extremely rude even if youre nice and will lose 50% of your packages. They will yell at customers and half the time theyll be talking and laughing while peolple wait--they dont care at all. I had to go 3 times with my ID to have my mail re-continued, as the old woman that sold me my house let it pile up before i bought it (This is after the online complain system told me delivery would resume after submitting two separate inquiries). Each time they told me mail would resume and it did not. Theyre explanation was that the clerk at the desk must never have told anyone about my issue. Smells like urine as well. Ugh. Since I made the move to a new apartment, this is unfortunately the post office my mail comes from. On two different occasions, I've had packages that couldn't fit in my mailbox so they drop off pink slips. On both occasions, I returned to the office to pick them up and they are no where to be found and there was no explanation to be given. The service is so discourteous I really don't know how they get away with it. The first time, I let it go, knowing that the sender (Amazon) would help diffuse the situation. Ten days later, what I ordered showed up at my door! Makes absolutely no sense. The second time, I went in and when they couldn't find the item, they made a copy of my pink slip and said the carrier would call. Days later, no call and I know it's not even worth trying to track down at their office. The only reason they get two stars is because for sending, this place does fine. There are two windows on opposite sides of the place, one looks like the normal post office desk, and the other is labeled as, "Business Caller Services." As far as USPS goes, this post office is pretty efficient. Yes there can be very long lines at peak hours, but heres hint, for this and every other post office in the US, don't go at peak hours. Crazy I know, but it works if you can swing it. Otherwise, just go online, folks. There's a couple ladies here at the counter who really keep things moving along. They also have a line for just pick ups, which is better than over at the Buena Vista PO (don't get me started on them). Overall, the staff is great and even start tow arm up once you get to know them, as long as you don't do something dumb, like hold up the line. There's no tolerance for that here. What the FREAK!! This has to be one of the worst post office ever created! When you walk into it, it looks like the fallout. The walking dead should use this place to shoot a scene, they would save so much on budgeting. In the PO box areas they have People who are unfortunately homeless begging for money. I'm all for helping people out but these people were rude and in my face. Than the ladies at the front seemed sweet until you started talking to them. I was trying to get a PO box but they said I needed more document than what the form that I got off the USPS website said. Smh. It was a complete waste of my time!
