Over the past 10 years I've had to use the services of this organization multiple times. Each and…read moreevery time I have been treated rudely, with complete lack of interest, and total disregard for customer service. On the other had, with dozens of packages shipped from either UPS (the former Mailboxes Etc.) in Nashua or the FedEx (the former Kinkos) in Nashua, I have always experienced professionalism, courtesy and appreciation for my business. I struggle to understand how the owner of this company can stay in business. While I'm a major proponent of doing business with small, locally owned companies, I will never give another cent to this one. It's a shame, but I would rather drive the extra distance so that I don't have to help to keep him in business.

My husband and I had been renting a home for many years. Throughout the years came many life changes, some good, some not so good. So when we found ourselves in one of the "not so good" moments of our lives, it was topped by learning our landlord was going to be selling the home. Due to health challenges with both my husband and I we knew this was the time to downsize. So the search began to find a way to get our home of many years cleared out. Our home that was not only filled with multiple large pieces of furniture, but also a pool table and air hockey table, etc. Our home that saw many family members move in and many family members move out. Our home that witnessed the joy of us welcoming new family members, and also our home that comforted us while we said our last good byes to others. We knew it would be a long and emotional road, but what we didn't anticipate was, it may be an impossible one. We had received 3 plus different estimates and began to panic. Due to health challenges affecting our financial situation, the estimates were not within our budget, not even close. We tried everything, we dipped into every penny saved, we sold many items we no longer needed on different platforms. Unfortunately, things were not moving quickly enough and we were running out of time. The panic, anxiety and fear of not being able to keep my word to my landlord would lead to many sleepless nights. I'm a firm believer in a persons word! It's all we all have at the end of the day. Then I stumbled across Hiott Waste Management, the owner, TJ's Facebook page. I noticed we had a mutual friend, and she gave him a glowing recommendation. So I reached out, I figured what do I have to lose? May be he would have a different viewpoint of the situation? Well, I am so extremely happy I did! Not only was his pricing EXTREMELY FAIR, he was very empathetic for our situation. Hiott Trux waste managements owner TJ has GREAT communication, he was always keeping us updated on dumpster deliveries and pick ups. He is extremely accurate with his estimates, to the penny! NO HIDDEN COSTS! He is dependable, reliable and extremely hard working! On top of this, he's always smiling and happy, with a sense of calmness about him that was contagious. I just knew the moment I met him, things were going to be OK! The bottom line is, if it were not for TJ with Hiott Trux Waste Management I would not have been able to keep my word to my landlord and leave our home of many years empty and spotless! Beware of this business. I called well in advance to have some furniture removed from my home. I…read morewas told that the day before the pick up I would be given a window of time. Pick up day was Friday the 13th. No communication was received so I called late morning Thursday and was told they didn't have a time yet but would call me. Late afternoon and I had received no call. I called again was told they were waiting for manager to come in to plan next days routes. Would call me when they knew info. No call. Called Friday morning and was told they didn't have a time but it would probably be late day. I was puzzled that they still could not give me a time window. Friday 4:45 pm called again to verify someone was coming. Was told the trucks were just starting to come in probably one would be coming up to me. Last thing I was told was that the office person would make sure everything was ok before she left. I waited till 6:45 pm no one came and as before no calls from this company. I am shocked and angry that the work ethics of this company are so low. I would never use them again and never recommend them. After 15 years as a loyal customer with Ciardelli Fuel Company, I've sadly switched providers due…read moreto recent issues. For years, I paid around $4.79/gallon for propane with no problems. Then I saw Dead River advertising $2.39/gallon. When I called Matt about matching a better rate, he initially offered $3.79, and only matched Dead River's price after I said I was leaving. The final straw was a boiler service call: The tech replaced a thermocouple, but the issue persisted. Turns out, one of our two tanks (which they've filled for years) was empty--they forgot to fill the main house tank. We were without heat and hot water during a big family gathering from out of town. As a 'will-call' customer, I was told emergency delivery would cost extra, though they provided 100 gallons as a 'courtesy.' Worst part: The thermocouple wasn't faulty; the problem was the empty tank. Yet they still charged the full service fee for diagnosing their own delivery mistake. I've switched to Dead River (along with several friends and even some Ciardelli employees I've heard from). It's disappointing--wanted to support a local, family-owned business, but I felt treated more like a profit source than a valued long-term customer. Matt & Andrew: Please do better for your loyal clients and staff.

THEY stated that they DO NOT refund for the propane in the tanks (never told that nor signed ). We have approximately 185 gallons in the 2 tanks ($650 worth). "run it out/ use it up" was their comment -- that probably won't happen until December, SO that means that we can't pick a plan to save money with the new company !! (other companies will pay back !) (We were put on contract with them by our contractor. not given a choice). SHOP around -- check the Better Business Bureau.
