This is the slowest post office in the entire world. Plan to take an afternoon if you need to have anything done at the counter. Even getting to this place is a hassle as you are forced to drive past it, then turn in and loop back first. Leaving you fight a double traffic light to get back onto highway 17 and usually get stuck for at least 10 minutes. They have an automated package machine if you need to buy stamps, but it only accepts credit cards. read more

I know I know, who writes reviews for Post Offices? I DO! Being from Phoenix, workers at the Post Office don't help you. In fact, they go out of their way to make your life more difficult. That is definitely not the truth at this Mt. Pleasant Post Office. The line was pretty long, but that is not unusual. What was unusual was the women going through the line, assisting people with their packages. They actually pulled me out of the line because all I needed was to pick something up, and they located it for me. Such wonderful, nice people work at this Post Office! I did not see anyone frustrated in line, and even overheard several of the conversations between the postal workers and their customers. They were very accommodating and just a pleasure to work with. It took me 3 trips to mail something and then it cost a fortune. The first time, they had no priority mail supplies in the lobby. The second time, the lobby kiosk was closed. The third time, I went during work so that I could to to the lobby when it was open. The lobby person seemed to go out to if way to try to find a reason NOT to ship things. The line was long, service was bad, and self-help tools were unavailable. Can I give it 0 stars? Are there other post offices in the area with self-serve machines in the lobby for those of us who can't come to the post office during work hours? read more

The bins are always full for the package drop off. They see me struggling to get my packages in there since it is full and just watch me. Don't care enough to change them out. Very rude. read more

Yes, I had to make the dreaded visit to the main Post Office in Mount Pleasant a few days ago to pick up a registered card for our son. When I say dreaded, I mean with the Christmas Postal rush. I know the place would be very busy and had envisioned waiting in line for quite some time. Not at all, They had a big sign for Pick Up Mail at the opposite side with one person ahead of me. It was great. I was in and out of there in ten minutes or less. The staff were friendly and courteous despite their most busiest of times. Thanks to their outlook it make us customers more appreciative of their hard work and dedication. read more

It is very disappointing. I was sending a package with clothes and they gave me the wrong form to fill out. After a long wait in the line, they told me that the form is the wrong one and I had to fill out a new one. I waited for another 20 minutes or so and they got me a more expensive postage to mail. At the end, it took about one month to delivery the package and the package is broken. read more

I'm really glad that all I was doing was coming in to buy postage, and the self serve station had just opened up. The line at the main counter was pretty long (for 9:30am) and I was able to get in and out in just a few moments. There seemed to be plenty of parking though, as long as you aren't expecting to be right there at the front door and don't mind a short walk. read more

The staff is overworked or just generally disgruntled, the air-conditioning seems to fail right about summertime and the line is always out the door. Mount Pleasant has outgrown this little post office. We either need another one or a larger one. There is a self-service machine in entry which helps and there is plenty of parking. read more

The post office shuts their phone number so you cannot call them before their store is even closed. Super Unprofessional. The people delivering the mail are A+ but the people operating the actual post office need some retraining. read more

A simple "Please don't use USPS Priority labels unless you are sending it priority" would have sufficed. Instead, the woman behind the counter at the Mount Pleasant, SC post office tore my label off, because I had the audacity to use an old 'priority' label and left the red stripe on the bottom and the printing that said "Label 228, March 2016-For Domestic and International Use." I had actually left it on on purpose, in case sending the package priority was cheaper than First Class. Forget that. Big mistake!! The teller ripped off my label and had me re-address the now-fuzzy-with-shredded-paper manila envelope. This, after standing in line for half an hour. This, after I've been buying stamps like crazy to support the post office. One stinking label, that has been in my folder for 4 years. And not my first "comeuppance" at this particular post office. This place has to be the worst I've ever frequented. I'm always intimidated just going in there, feeling like I'm going to get scolded for something. A word to the wise. This postoffice is not the fastest one that I have ever been to but the people that work here are very nice. Everytime that I have been here I have not had a problem with them. They also have a self service machine in the lobby. If you know how to work this machine it will save you a lot of time! read more

Wait is horrible, full of old ladies who don't know what they're doing. Old African American lady with a nose ring and dreads laughed at me when I was trying to mail 3 letters and said "give me $1.47" when I purchased 3 stamps. Worst customer experience of my life. read more

I made a mistake on the address in Mount Pleasant when shipping a package from Canada. They answered my call and were extremely helpful in locating the package in their facility. My package was located and is being shipped to the correct address. Awesome customer service!!! read more

This building houses the United States Post Office...as far as I know it's the only full service post office in Mount Pleasant. I don't have to go here very often but when I do it's usually the same story...a decent line of 5-10 people and a lot of people who get to the counter and don't have any of the right shipping packages or labels. I don't know exactly why people find it so hard to stand against the back wall and pick out what package you want to send your items in, but it seems more often than not it's the common issue. The staff is very much like most Postal centers I've been too...they are relatively friendly, go about their business fast and look to get the next person in line taken care of. For some reason they are not doing Passports for the next two months and the closest location that IS doing them by appointment only is Huger...which is a tiny town twenty five minutes away for those of you not from here.
