I've had Post Offices say they don't do General Delivery after they tell me they do, but they still held onto the package so I could pick it up the same day. I've had packages get lost in the sorting bins but the staff went above and beyond to locate them and call me two days later. I even had a carrier call me, find out what parking lot I'm in, and hand deliver my package. Usually the Postal Service rocks. This one... yeesh. From refusing to deliver mail, erroneously marking packages "no mail receptacle" despite it being a 24-hour business, not answering their phones... I had to call a neighbouring Post Office just to verify the Bandon Post Office even exists. And the packages all have my phone number on them. FedEx and UPS had no issue delivering to the address. Now I have to have all my packages delivered again, at my own expense, to the North Bend Post Office because the Bandon one refuses to deliver mail. As in, didn't even try to deliver it. So in the end, I'm spending an extra hundred to have packages resent to another facility.

I wanted to ask if they collect outgoing mail from the blue mail receptacle outside the building. I called the 800 number listed online for all the post offices in the area. Couldn't talk to an agent because the computer wanted this information or that information and was giving me solutions to problems that I wasn't experiencing. This post office, and USPS in general, has the worst automated customer service system in existence. When I want to talk to an agent, i expect to be connected to an agent. After paying an additional $32 to have a letter sent - not wanting to assume that they pick up mail from the receptacle and it stay there until they reopen - it turns out that they do still pick up mail from the receptacle. Too many factors to give, even a relative, a firm date. It may slip again and as an example I'm returning an Atmos today (actually shipping) that came in 08/05/2015. Yours came in 10/05/2015 and there are 7 that came in ahead of yours. And to be perfectly blunt, if a customer send an Atmos and wants expedited service, then they would go to the top of the list because they just committed to paying $1,000. labor vs. $500. He told me how to test the clock before sending it to him to ensure that it was not overheating. If it was overheating, the motor would have been shot and sending him the clock would have been a waste of money. So it was clear he wasn't trying to scam me: he didn't want me to send a clock that he knew in advance probably could not be fixed, even though he could probably charge a diagnostic fee. Once that hurdle was cleared, Mike gave me a clear set of instructions that described exactly how long the process would take and exactly how much it would cost. In other words I was aware that it would take time and I was not impatient or frustrated. Everything went exactly as he said it would. He answered emails almost immediately and gave me updates at regular intervals. I saw the negative Yelp post and all I can say is that my experience was exactly the opposite. The whole process was great: efficient, polite and successful. I would recommend Mike to anyone who has a broken vintage clock that is within his area of expertise and I have no doubt that he will be entirely up-front about what he can and cannot do.
