It turns out that a different 101 Laundry which is no longer in business has a lingering Yelp rating below 2/5 8n a different city. MapQuest hasn't removed the closed one so, sadly, it reflects poorly on 101 Laundry. MapQuest also doesn't identify this laundry. When we were there we noticed new, clean machines and surfaces, reading material, and believe it or not, a handicapped accessible patio with nice out of door furniture. I knew that she was very expensive in the past and I went here only because my normal place in Salem was too far. I could not go there for just a couple quick thin sweaters. I normally make one trip there in the summer for everything. When I went in there two weeks ago, she told me that my very thin sweaters not thick sweaters would be around $8.35 a piece. I wrote that down on my receipt when I left so that I knew. I knew she was still expensive for these thin sweaters, but I was willing to pay at this one time. Unfortunately, when there's only one dry cleaners in the area they can do whatever they want. When I went back there this Wednesday, she tried to tell me that my price was $35.85. I was shocked!! I couldn't even believe that that's what I heard and I told her no that's not what you told me and I said look at my receipt. This is what you told me and I looked her in the eye. She continued to argue. She did not want to refund me. She kept arguing with me and then eventually said well I'll give you a $10 credit. How about that? And I said no I don't ever want to come back here again. After I told her I would report this to Visa and that I would dispute it because I knew this was wrong . She then refunded me and voided the sale and charged me the normal price. I have never had anyone try to do this. It is a smooth, gypsy move that I have never experienced. Telling someone, one price then doing a full switch and bait!! I'm imagining she does this to people all the time and catches them off guard. Most people are embarrassed and don't want to say anything. On top of this imagine paying almost $12 for a thin ladies sweater. I have all types of sweaters I have thin, medium and thick. This is about $7.50 in Salem, maybe closer to $8.00 in McMinville. Please do not go here find somewhere else there are other dry cleaners in McMinville and in Salem I drive in order not to be completely ripped off. I can still save money even with the gas. No wonder people can't pay rent, buy food or gas because the people like this.

There are also weird orange/brown stains on some of my towels that weren't there when I put them into the washer/dryer. Might be a rust stain? Not sure. I tried finding the attendant but she was no where to be found. 1 family was there using about 50% of the washers there and about 10 dryers as well. I only liked this place cause it was the only one listed to take credit cards but eh. Go somewhere else.

I dreaded going to the laundromat, but I was pleasantly surprised by the facilities and the kindness of the owners. They are very helpful, making sure, if you need help, they are there to help. Also, Ryko, who works there in the evenings, is very helpful, carrying out your laundry to your vehicle. He takes ownership of the laundromat, maintaining the owner's standards, safe, clean, and friendly place to come, to take care of your laundry needs.

Saw this place mentioned on Google maps but not here on yelp. Had to check it out as I was…read morebordering on absolutely needing to do a large load. It's a relatively newly opened laundromat. Even their website still says "unfolding soon." The attendant on duty took time to explain how the machines work and why they're special. Hospital grade washing machines have a special sanitizing function in between loads, which cleans out the machines before your load starts. They're also highly efficient. As with other front loaders, they're meant to be almost stuffed to the top. My large load fit into their second smallest machine and only took 23 minutes to finish. There are 4 different sized washing machines. Currently they're having a promotion for first time visitors. Your first load for wash and dry are free! They even provided the "he" detergent and the use of wool balls, which make the dryers even more efficient. While the washing machine cost initially may seem pricey, considering the time savings (washing and drying took less than 50 minutes) and high efficiency, I think they're quite reasonable for front loaders. You would want to do a big load here to make it worthwhile. And IMHO the dryer prices are very reasonable, which should balance out the total cost. I've never been so hyped up about a laundromat (except for the one in Jasper, Alberta, but that was for a different reason)! Realize that this is still a new operation but let's hope that they maintain their machines well into the future. Would highly recommend!

One quarter got eaten. Could have been worse, right? We did hear that they are not always open when they are supposed to be. I guess we lucked out.
