Just wanted to shout out this post office for the smooth passport appointment I just had! The process was so easy and took a reasonable amount of time. They helped me through every step of the process and I didn't feel rushed through anything. The employee also explained everything in good detail, so I knew exactly what to expect. All of the staff here were so friendly! This location also had plenty of appointments available on their website, unlike a lot of other locations. Plus, this location has a big parking lot. Avoid the service desk if you can. Received the absolute worst customer service from one of the employees, if you can even call it that. Once again, I've received the WORST mail service from OB Post Office.... the latest carrier "delivering" my mail left my mail - including official mail from NJ DMV - hanging out of my mail box's slot opening...2 days in a row!! & also ignored a piece of mail I put out w/a large printed note that it was not ours!! Kind of a neat place to do post office stuff. You can mail stuff or pick stuff up, pack stuff, unpack stuff. It's really great. And their stamps??? They are to die for. The Elvis stamps were so good I licked them twice. I would recommend this place to anyone interested in mailing a letter. read more

Horrible. Not only do they loose your mail, they hang up on you when you call about it. Is there a zero star rating?

Where to begin ..... I have community mailboxes where I live. If a large envelope comes or a package it fills the box and they remove the all mail as "mailbox full" - how about delivering it??? You know - like the good old days! Everyone complains of this in my development - it's ridiculous. AND they return it right away at the post office they won't even hold it the required amount of days. The post master will even argue with you about it saying he doesn't have to hold it when the box is full! Really??? THEN last week I got my mail on a Thursday. Friday the box wouldn't open. It felt like a package was stuck under the latch and my key wouldn't turn. Same on Saturday. It was a holiday weekend so Tuesday I left a note that my lock wasn't opening. Wednesday same thing and Thursday! So I called the 800 number (consumer affairs) to complain. The woman said she would email the OldBridge post master (who has been there forever and doesn't care about customer service - he has his "time" in) well - it's now Saturday and I still can't open my mailbox!!! And nobody has updated me in the status. I have no clue what's going on. So I called Consumer Affairs AGAIN this morning!!! Is my mail in the box? At the post office? Who knows. What does it take for someone to answer the phone? This past year has been horrible. Yesterday half of my mail was on the ground. This is very unacceptable. Before this the mailman returned my mail, I never asked for this. I've had mail shoved in the box like it came out of someone's ass, or hanging out of the box. How about not being in such a rush and fit my mail horizontally in the box, unless of course, it's a large envelope. I'm so sick of it. What kind of people are you hiring. read more

they do not stop mail as requested. the last three times mail was delivered after it was stopped! then mail was delivered a week after it was requested to begin again! horrible horrible service!!! can't get any worse!!! our carrier could not care less!! post office needs to get qualified people and people who care!!!! I just order a new phone and because of the cost the shipper required a signature. I tracked the package, and it was to be delivered Friday before 6pm. Before going to bed on Thursday night I always look out the front door and then noticed a package on the front step. I took it in and open it up and it was my phone. I then looked up the tracking number and it said that the phone was delivered at 6:06 PM it was on the steps for 4 hours before I noticed. I guess person was too lazy to ring the bell. The Old Bridge post office is the worst of any in the area. If the postal service decides to shut down locations they should start with the Old Bridge, NJ location read more

Whenever I have an issue with a package & I need to get in touch with someone about it which has happened on more than one occasion over the years with this post office. It's impossible to get in touch with anyone because they just let the phone ring and don't pick up. The only way you can get anything solved is by driving over to this post office to talk to someone . It's ridiculous. I wish Spotswood would deliver our mail because Old Bridge is the worst . I have been trying to apply for a passport, but each time I am being told about some new rule - such as they can only take documents till 4 pm, even though they are open until 5 pm. And that's after I made two trips down there, each time being told I need another copy or that the card reader doesn't work and I need a money order. Totally unprofessional. read more

I strongly believe that the people working at this facility are the laziest and dumbest people on Earth. Packages lost, inconsistent delivery schedule. complete inability to do a job right. I had packages requiring signature so I waited for them on the day they said it was going to be delivered. I waited and waited and nothing. I check my mailbox and there I find the pink slip telling me that no one was home. WHAT A CROCK!. I checked my security cameras in the rear and the front and guess what....Not even a hint of USPS came to any of my door. They are lazy and dont want to delivery packages that might exert their weak physical shape. This USPS needs to shutdown or fire everyone in there and put some competent people for a change. I came in during Christmas time to ship something and the man was extremely nice and efficient. My normal post office is in East Brunswick but behind I liked the service I went back to the old bridge location today to ship a small box. Mistakingly, I forgot to tape the box shut. I only needed ONE piece of tape. Asian woman said I had to buy it and could not give me a piece of tape. I was shocked being that the time before they were so helpful and nice. Well, needless to say I walked right out and went to the East Brunswick post office. Thanks for nothing, won't be coming back. read more

This post office is the reason the US Postal service is struggling to stay competitive with other shipping and delivery vendors like UPS and FedEx. The service is rushed and the clerk that "helped" me today kept slamming my package down, huffing and puffing, rolling her eyes, and asking me over and over again if I REALLY wanted to send my item next day, after I came to the counter and asked her to price it for Next Day Delivery! She was so unnecessarily rude and attempted to transfer her Monday blues to me. The experience I had last week, the clerk was too lazy to read the bar code and made me re-package 1 of the items. Safe to say I will not be going back to this post office or I will not do my shipping with the US Postal Service. read more
