The smug young "manager" (or so she represented herself) arrogantly refused to accept it on the grounds that it was too heavy. We tried to show her that we purchased the label properly and that she had to be mistaken but she loudly tried to shame us and dug in her heels, flatly refusing to accept it with continued major know-it-all attitude. She insisted that FedEx simply didn't deliver packages over 70 pounds to residential addresses. When we insisted that she look again, the only solution she could offer us was that we purchase express level service that cost over $600 more. When we couldn't agree to that she asked us to leave with our package. There was no convincing her that she had to be mistaken. When we got home, I called FedEx and of course our label was correct. The mistake she was making was that she was confusing their specific Home Delivery product (which is a special 70 pound limit service level that delivers packages on Saturdays to home addresses at no additional cost by using contracted non-FedEx drivers) with ALL home delivery in general. Our package was well within the limits for the FedEx Ground label that we purchased. So we wound up having a lot of our time wasted, strained ourselves unnecessarily, and were publicly shamed because this employee was improperly or inadequately trained in both FedEx policy and basic customer service. As it turns out, we were not the idiots that she was looking down her nose at... she is the actual idiot. Hopefully the REAL manager of the store will read this review and realize that he or she has a serious problem in need of fixing. Nastiness is never acceptable in a service oriented business like Kinko's... especially when Yelp exists. As it turns out, any Walgreens will take a FedEx drop off, and they don't give you the attitude that this nasty little big shot thinks is acceptable behavior. That'll be the last time I set foot in that place.

It's still in the same plaza it's just in the rear of the plaza (to the left of the Edible Arrangements store). Because of the recent move they now have a larger parking lot (which was previously a hassle at the last location), double the PO boxes, supplies that customers can purchase, and the staff now have a larger space to work in. Overall this a great improvement for both customers and the employees.

Love this Providence USPS hub location! Its extended hours (lobby with clerks open to 9 pm on…read moreweekdays, unheard of!) are so convenient and helpful when I have something that must go out that day, but I've missed the cutoff at my local location. Lines can be long, but the self service kiosk can help me most times. Sometimes people jam the package bins, though, which somehow goes unnoticed by staff, and means you have to get in the sometimes long lines anyways. There are a wide range of extra services offered here, and tons of a wider variety of the free priority packaging options than most other locations have. There's a large parking lot, but people whip through it, so be careful! This location and its convenient extended hours are such an asset for local small business owners and residents alike.

There are Passport Services for passport appointments and photo appointments. In addition, they are open early and close late (Monday-Friday: 7:00 am - 9:00 pm, Saturday: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm). I came in on a Thursday morning around 8:30am to mail a small package (2.00 oz) out. I had to purchase a mailing envelope as well. There were many different sizes and costs options. I chose a holiday envelope for $1.99. There was no line so I was able to get helped right away. Diane was friendly and asked me to fill out an experience survey later with link on receipt. I mailed the small package with USPS Ground Advantage for $6.05. Tracking is included for free on all Ground Advantage packages. The receipt indicates the destination, weight, estimated delivery date, tracking #, insurance up to $100.00 included, and grand total. The package arrived safely, but one day later than the estimated delivery date. It is the busy holiday season time. Thank you USPS for processing and delivering mail and packages to individuals and businesses in the U.S.

Best part is he did it all with a smile. Polite, professional and knowledgeable. That guy needs a raise. This place is gonna be a frequent stop for me. All the hours I've wasted trying to find boxes, wrapping in brown paper like a former postal worker would do, & a whole lot of tape when all I have to do now is bring it to Parcel & Post Plus. Clerks have gone above and beyond for me, like when I've forgotten to cover something on a box which might affect delivery. Give respect, get it. I've learned, through talking to these folks, that sometimes there are circumstances beyond their control. People complaining don't seem to get that they have rules they need to follow. They care about their jobs, and they know what they should be doing and how to do it. Town Hall is across the street and despite a sign politely requesting only Post Office customers to use their lot, Town Hall customers park there, so it's not always as crowded as it might look. Lines can be long, yes. Many times there is only one clerk available, and since they do passports here, which take a LOT of time... well. There are also a lot of folks who require help with their packages. A lot of elderly folks and people who don't do it often enough to know how things work. If all you have is a dropoff, you're good. Please give the clerks a break, sometimes it really does take a while to give folks the service they need. I have seen people come into this place literally 2 minutes before closing, with a package that's STILL OPEN, and not even addressed. You think they're going to be happy about that!? Of course not. But they still spend a good 10-15 minutes helping anyway, advising folks of their options, taping up, etc. Sometimes scans take a while and there have been times when I checked tracking for my packages and didn't see a scan there for a few hours, but jeez, if you buy your labels online then you have a record, so no sweat. If there is a long line, and you really must have a scan of half a zillion packages and receipt printout and will snarl if you don't get it... I'd suggest going instead to the "basics" branch in the Four Seasons gas station at the intersection of Pawtucket & Waterman a mile or two away. Usually no line there.
