This U.S. Post Office is conveniently located on Route 44 in Seekonk, MA and is right around the…read morecorner from my usual haunts. Hidden behind the Dunkin Donuts in this plaza, there are 2 entrances to the lot making entering and departing an easy task. If you are lucky and can hit it at an off-time, you won't have to wait in line for too long to do your business. The postal workers here are pleasant and knowledgeable though I wish there was a bit more teamwork between them or speed in general. With only a few people in front of me on a recent trip, I felt as though I had to wait far longer than I needed to if everyone had pitched in to troubleshoot and get the line moving. At one point during my wait... there was literally no one processing mail. One woman was standing at the front doing busy work behind the counter and simply kept yelling to people in the back that they needed to come help in the front. We all stood there looking at each other awkwardly until someone made their way from the mysterious back room to take care of us. There are numerous displays and a number of mailing supplies available for purchase here. This location offers postal boxes around a side corner and has several drop off areas to be in and out quickly when your postage is already set. This post office is a-ok but certainly has room for improvement in the way of customer service.

A regular business-hours delivery to my work, a no-show for four straight days. One day I could understand but riding around nearby streets, no mail trucks in sight morning and afternoon. Its extended hours (lobby with clerks open to 9 pm on…read moreweekdays, unheard of!) are so convenient and helpful when I have something that must go out that day, but I've missed the cutoff at my local location. Lines can be long, but the self service kiosk can help me most times. Sometimes people jam the package bins, though, which somehow goes unnoticed by staff, and means you have to get in the sometimes long lines anyways. There are a wide range of extra services offered here, and tons of a wider variety of the free priority packaging options than most other locations have. There's a large parking lot, but people whip through it, so be careful! This location and its convenient extended hours are such an asset for local small business owners and residents alike.

This post office located right on Thayer St is small but convenient if you live in the area or if…read moreyou are one of the many college students that frequent the neighborhood. The staff is nice and efficient. The main thing that I wish they had is dedicated parking. Parking in this area is tough and hard to find. Like many post offices, you can get supplies for shipping packages. The only thing to know is that if you use their Express Package supplies, you will have to pay the express package rate, which is usually $4-5 more than if you would had wrapped your box in a brown generic paper or plain box.
