An antiquated looking post office next to the train stop for your mailing needs. I had no real issues. The line took a little while to move but from listening to the person at the counter, she was patient and helpful. An easy walk into town as well. If I could give zero stars I would! They are the worst Post Office Ever! I put a change of address in prior to moving to Arizona, well when I got to Arizona I received a notice that all my mail will be forwarded within 21 business days. Upon 22 days did not get my mail and my son hasto call since I'm deaf and can not hear, he called the 800 number on the confirmation letter. The lady on the phone told my Son to go to the post office and straighten out the problem. He told her we are in Arizona, 2800 miles away. Well he called the Pearl River Post Office he asked for the PostMaster, she would not put the call through to PostMater and the told him the person handling the mail left for the day. It was 1:00 pm NY time. Then she tried to blame the slowdown on the Virus. Then all of a sudden she told my son the change of labels just arrived and we will get our mail within 3 business days since they were holding the mail for labels. Now it's 30 days since we got the notice that our mail was to be forwarded, still nothing!!! Very frustrating!!! My son called the 800 number again to tell them we still have not received our mail and she proceeded to tell my son to call the Pearl River Post office. I was going crazy mad, when my son told her that I was getting very upset, she then said that someone will call us. A little bit later someone did call she apologized and said she will send an email to Pearl River Post Office. The next morning, my Son get a phone call from the IRS as to why his refund check was returned? I went totally ballistic!!! Now my son was on the phone for hours with the IRS to get his check back. Could not get through, all automated and kept hanging up on him. I told him to call that lady that was going to send a email and tell her, so he did she apologized again and told us that they never responded to her email and she was going to put out another. My son also called the Pearl River Post office again asked for the head PostMaster he answered and may son told him what happened, he did not offer any apology or concerned as to what happened. I told all that I'm going to contact my lawyer if I don't get my mail. The worst customer service and experience ever by Pearl River Post Office. June 15th 2020 now Five days after writing this review and I still have not got any of my mail that was supposed to be forwarded. Disgusting!!! June 18th 2020, I still don't have my mail and I found out my Stimulus Check was returned. Unbelievable!!! read more

PEARL RIVER, NY 10965 Post Office should go back to pony express. At least the pony express got the mail through. My package left the sender in Pearl River on the 21st. On December 21, 2020, 5:41 pm my tracking said Departed Post Office PEARL RIVER, NY 10965. It took 10 days to arrive at the TETERBORO NJ DISTRIBUTION CENTER. The tracking updated after I put in a complaint. Pearl River, NY is 25 minutes from Teterboro, NJ.. guess they don't think we have Google Maps. This is the worst Post Office experience I have ever had. There is NO excuse for 10 days for a 25-minute drive. read more

Terrible service in an institution that is not exactly known for good customer service. The woman at the window is one of the rudest, power hungry people I have ever met. She was very quick to "correct" me when I misunderstood very unclear direction. Go somewhere else, not the Pearl River post office read more

I wish I could give ZERO stars. Every time I go here, the workers are so rude I cannot believe that they are allowed to keep their jobs. They are so unhelpful, and always seem like they cannot be bothered with questions. The one lady I worked with today was probably the rudest person I've ever encountered in my life. read more

One star is too high. On many occasions I have gotten there at 9am for the opening only to hear the workers too busy BS ing amongst themselves behind the metal windows and opening up 5 to 10 minutes late with a line waiting and no apology. Today they opened at 9:10 and when they opened a customer complained and they said they had a systems problem but knowing people were waiting they made no attempt to come out an explain the delay. No wonder to Post Office is on the way out, lazy and inconsiderate people working there. Too bad if they lose their jobs. read more

I've had multiple letters lost when sending them from this location. Also, I've had my card double charged on at least 3 occasions. After the last incident I was forced to get a new debit card from Bank of America. This is probably one of the most poorly run post offices I've ever seen, and I've lived all over the United States. If you can avoid it at all, please reconsider doing business here. read more
