My uncle was…read moreadmitted here for rehab -- nurses needed to flip him every 2 hours (they didn't), vitals needed to be taken every 6 hours (they didn't), he needed PT (never showed up on time), and when his body temp dropped, BP dropped, O2 dropped, and he began to be delirious, doctors REFUSED to allow him to be moved to the ER, stating that an attending needed to sign off on it first. In fact, NO ONE ELSE had noticed, aside from family, that his state was deteriorating in front of our eyes. We ended up calling 911 ourselves, and got him the fuck out of that fuck ass place. Turns out -- he had multiple organ failure! We don't even know if he's going to survive! And guess what? Staff didn't catch its onset bc they never checked him on a routine basis, assumed he was non-responsive because he spoke little English, and only ever told us that he was "irritable and agitated." I would be fucking irritated too if I had multiple organ failure. On top of that -- the call center has now blocked my number after my initial report that I made last night, where I indicated that I was pissed at the medical neglect that the facility was exhibiting, and that I needed to have it stated on his records that my uncle was REFUSED service. Turns out, even if you DO call them, they don't give a flying shit about it. To the hundreds of other reviews stating their family died or worsened at this institution -- please file with NYS DOH Nursing Homes to complain about the medical neglects that your family experienced during the stay.

I cannot share enough kind words about Ozanam Hall of Queens NY. After a recent stroke and a twelve…read moreday hospital stay, my dad went to Ozanam for rehabilitative services. My family didn't place dad there blindly, it was by choice, after weighing all the options. We have a family member who is a long term resident there currently as well as a long time family friend who is there too. They love the care they receive and the staffers they receive it from. Their recommendations were well received. From the moment I entered the front door and was greeted by the front desk attendant Lana, I knew dad was in a great, loving, caring and Holy place. I went up to dad's floor, was greeted by every staff member I passed. Not just on my first visit, but every visit. No matter how busy they were, every single person said hello. As time went on, those greetings were by name. It truly felt like dad was being cared for by loving family. My visits only lasted a week or so as I live about 700 miles away, but my experience and my opinions of my dad's treatment are fact based. He could not have received better care anywhere else. The facility was spotless, well maintained and the staff all love why they do. It takes a special kind of person to do this work. Ozanam is blessed with the best. Ozanam is even updating the rooms one floor at a time. It's nice to see the investment back into the facilities. The office staff was extremely helpful, kind and very communicative. They assisted in every way possible, making the daunting logistics of dealing with the insurance companies a less daunting part of the experience. I could not ask for better! I'd like to name everyone I met there who cared for me dad and assisted my family throughout, but I would have to name every person in the public eye as well as everyone behind the scenes there. By God's plan, my dad, Donald B. declined due to advancing medical conditions. He received great personal care and was treated with dignity up to and beyond when he took his final breath. He passed on Sept 22, peacefully in his sleep. The staffers who knew him were as sad as we are. Thank you to everyone at Ozanam Hall of Queens for all you do for every person in your care every day. May continue to God bless you all. Please keep doing what you do!!! You all are absolutely incredible. Rest easy dad! God's got you!

It's a beautiful atmosphere for loved ones to recover. My grandmother stayed for two weeks for…read morerehabilitation. My grandmother had good recall and memory. During a visit-she presented a concern about her clothing, and I went to the desk to find an explanation. I tried to speak with the nurse who spent a great deal of time attempting to ignore my presence at the unit desk/counter. After I garnered their attention simply by calling out "Hello Nurse", I discovered they practiced a type of nursing that most people would find objectionable and resist in our modern world. I really thought Nurse Ratchet was a thing of the past- BUT I was wrong. The nurse was rude, and resistant. I believe by the nurse's behavior was a demonstration of a standard and not an exception to the rule. In my protest I was visited by the administration- (DON probably) but that wasn't helpful, but it was packed with an immediate response. I didn't ask for an apology, or any other actions, I just wanted to be informative. The main reason I engaged in the awkward conversation with this administrator, was to reveal something serious but I didn't feel satisfied that it would create change or cause an immediate address. Afterward I felt a pit in my stomach and uncomfortable leaving my aged loved one, defenseless, and feeble in the care of those who didn't mind shouting at me being healthy, robust, and able to voice my concerns. I could only imagine what type of treatment my grandmother had experienced in my absence and how much she'd be willing to tolerate if left alone with unsympathetic staff. I questioned to what extent this behavior and bad customer service presented. I would still recommend it to anyone, because the atmosphere is calm and clean. You can tell it was created out of an abundance of concern for the sick and shut in but the staff is not as compassionate as the facade suggests. I would only recommend it for families that will be an active and present while their loved one stays at Ozanam. Create a shift for loved ones to show up all day or even hire a trusted person to sit and help your loved one while they stay.

Brenda, I doubt you'll ever see this review, but you truly made the experience special. You were informative, welcoming, and made sure everyone understood exactly what to expect and where to go when the big day arrives. My partner and I were actually the only people on the tour who already had children, while everyone else were first-time moms and dads. It turned into such a nice experience because some of the other parents even came to us with questions or for advice whenever Brenda stepped away for a moment. It created a very supportive atmosphere. During the tour, we got to see the labor and delivery area, as well as the postpartum rooms. We also happened to see a new mom walking through the hallway with her newborn, which was such a sweet and special moment. Another nice touch was seeing the statistics for how many baby boys, baby girls, and twins had been delivered there this year. The tour was extremely informative and really helped ease any confusion about where to go and what to expect on delivery day. The hospital renovations also look great everything feels updated and well maintained.

I've came in here a few times on the weekends and the staff is great . The only reason I gave a 4 star versus a 5 is the WAIT TIME. I understand it's walk in but I don't think it's fair to the Doctor and the patients to wait longer than an hour with pediatric patients. I've seen the young lady in the front desk get yelled at because of the wait time and I commend her for being so professional and updating the patients in the waiting room on wait time. Overall as for staff AMAZING. But wait time ? One provider? Not cool .

I wasn't surprised when I saw they had a 2.0 rating because they're the absolute worst!! I wish I could give zero stars. They do not care about patients and make mistakes with medications. My nurse who came to my home didn't read the instructions and administered my medication incorrectly. She wasn't paying attention and I'm the one who has to suffer. Now I'm waiting for them to deliver new medication and my treatment is all messed up all because the nurse didn't read the instructions on the package and just assumed. As a medical professional I don't understand how you can administer medication to a first time patient of yours and not read the instructions. She wasted valuable and expensive medication for no reason. Now dealing with the pharmacy and getting all kinds of different stories not knowing who to trust and believe. They really don't care about people and are the worst pharmacy ever. I never get a call when they're going to deliver my medication, they just show up. I have to wait around all day for them, since the medication has to be refrigerated, they can't just leave it outside my door.I expected more from Northwell, I'm really disappointed in them. If you are working in the medical field, you need to actually care about people and help them, not make their lives worse and more complicated. We're sick, that's why we are receiving this medication in the first place, why are you making it more difficult for us?
