So apparently the postal workers here are engaged in FORGERY because on numerous occasions there have people using my address to have their mail delivered. In February of this year they tried to steal my W-2 forms and when I put in a complaint to the postal inspectors office my W-2's miraculously appeared in my mail box. Just recently the postal carrier was supposed to deliver a package to me this Saturday and lied on the informed delivery app that I requested for the package to be held at the post office. This branch needs to be investigated and those doing the wrong thing should be jailed. read more

Y'all this is the most reckless post office I've ever experienced. I walked here in the rain to pick up a package. They're supposed to open at 8, guess who has been standing outside for 30 minutes with no sign of anyone coming to open this place up. Apparently it's a regular occurrence because an elderly woman just walked up and asked me if it was open and when I said no she said "again?? I hate this post office". Literally avoid this place at all costs I've never seen a federal establishment open late before and like do you only have one person working the morning shift??? I get it if one person is running late but hire another staff member to make sure at least one person is here. read more

This is the worst USPS post office in the United States. I have called in 5 complaints about our postal carrier no longer leaving delivery slips or even attempting deliveries. There have been no changes made, even after speaking with the manager of the center. In the past year, I've had to pick up the majority of the packages at the post office, which completely defeats the purpose of having a delivery service. At the post office, they literally have one postal worker on shift. I have never witnessed two or three windows being open. I get a headache having to deal with the management of this post office because they will never change. If you're in their delivery radius, please be mindful of the fact that this is seriously the most painful agency to have to ever deal with. I regret ordering things in the mail now. read more

By far the worst post office in the entire continental U.S. and all its territories. I was expecting a package in the 18th of May. It is now the 23rd. I called them with my tracking number and they placed me on hold. After 5 minutes on hold I decided to drive down there. When I got there, still on hold, I heard the clerks talking about my call and how I'd "get my package when they delivered it". They back pedaled when they realized I was the guy on hold. Last year at Christmas time I had a fiasco involving delivery of a package that was completely the fault of the employees of this post office. The package had tracking on it, and on the day it was supposed to be delivered it wasn't. The next morning a note showed up in the online tracking info saying an attempted delivery was made and a slip was left. I was home all day, and no one attempted jack, nor was there a slip. This happened numerous times over the course of 10 days or so, and I kept calling and addressing it with employees at their location who kept giving me excuses that didn't match up with what was being entered into tracking. One day I was told the delivery woman turned around in the middle of her shift and quit for the day because she was getting frostbite on her feet, and yet the note on the tracking said an attempted delivery had been made and a slip left. After more than two weeks I filed a complaint with the main office and said I suspected my package had been stolen by a postal employee. I eventually got a call back from the manager of this office, who told me he was going to go out to the truck, find my package, and deliver it himself. To his credit he did do this, though it took him until late in the evening so I had to sit at home on my ass waiting. All in all the package reached my hands more than 30 days late... and the contents were broken. Now it's a little over a year later and I am struggling to get this office to honor scheduled package pick ups. I moved away for half a year and then moved back to a different house serviced by this same station. If you're not aware, you can schedule for your carrier to pick up packages from your home if you are unable to transport them to the post office. I run a home business and I don't drive, so I rely on this service. You schedule it online, get a confirmation number and you can choose to have the pickup happen during your regular delivery window, or pay $20 for pickup at a time you choose. Last Saturday I scheduled a pickup and they didn't come, so I called Monday and spoke to someone who asked the address and then said they would come that day. No one came, so now it's Tuesday and I have 7 packages that need to go out that are just sitting here. I need to be able to rely on this service on a daily basis; what am I supposed to do now?!? read more

This has been my local place for 12 years and everytime I come here I'm here for over 20min. Ive only ever seen two people working a select few times. Why is it right before the holidays and 1 employee working? For all this USPS couldve stayed in Staples also. I've correctly been here for 27min and 4 ppl ahead of me. I agree with the previous reviewer, this post office is terrible. The employees are rude and careless. There is always a wait due to slow service, and sometime only one person working up front (is this policy? it seems silly to have three windows and only use 1). Not sure if it's related, but the postal worker(s) for my area is(are) pretty bad at their job too. On several occasions I've received mail for houses up to 3 blocks away, on completely different streets! This is just laziness. I have also resorted to having most mail delivered to a business where there is always someone present to accept it in an attempt to avoid going to this post office at all costs. read more

THE WORST EVER. No body wants to work, I was the third person in line, 30 minutes. Talking. Moving slow as molasses, really. in the next 15 minutes, about 15 people in line, 5 of them wind up leaving. I don't even know why these people have jobs here if they don't want to work. NO INTEGRITY, NONE. Thank goodness I am moving so I don't have to deal with the post office anymore, but not only in the building, they can never figure out mine and my boyfriend's address. What kind of tests do you have to pass to become a post carrier? Seriously? They need to hire a new staff. Everybody was complaining there. I get so stressed when I have to mail or I'm expecting something important. They LOSE mail. I know for sure of two pieces of mail that were mailed from trusted senders that I never received including a bank check. I have also incurred late payment fees for bills I never received. Last, I have also received mail delivered in error - mail sent priority express that the sender paid substantial money to ship. Honestly, more than once! What in the world do you do when you pay for priority shipping and tracking only to find your mail is not delivered? Several years back the carriers were routinely wearing headphones and talking on their phones while delivering the mail. I reported this and was told their carriers were trained not to do so. They brushed me off, so I had to take pictures to prove these violations. To this day, I see carriers wearing head phones. Nevertheless very unreliable service and if you happen to get caught in the cross hairs, you had better have a Plan B. Holding the Post Office accountable is not a Plan B. read more

I often receive calls and e mailes telling me that my mail has been returned to the sender. I have called many times after mail has been missing or I find it on the ground outside. I called this office this afternoon to try to track a package I sent to my daughter - running shoes for the marathon on Sunday so pretty important! The package originated by UPS and was sent via Safe Post which means UPS gives it to the post office after one delivery attempt. The online UPS information was limited - basically, once they hand it off to the post office they have nothing to do with it. The USPS online tracking information was limited also -it said the package was delivered to a "closed" facility. So I called this office and spoke to the nicest, most helpful person (who answered the phone on the second ring - and this is a POST OFFICE!!). He took down the information, went to the back to look for the package, came back to the phone to clarify something, went back to look for it again and returned to the phone. No package he said, and he asked the supervisor to call the mail deliverer but the deliverer did not answer the call. He offered to give the supervisor my phone number so that he could keep calling the mail deliverer and then he could call me with any updates. I gave him my name and phone number but expected that this was the end of contact (again, this is the POST OFFICE). So how nice was it when the supervisor called me 45 minutes later to tell me that he'd gotten in touch with the mailman, the package was on the truck, and to tell my daughter her running shoes would be delivered today. This has to be by far the worse post office ever. I can't begin to tell you how many times my packages have never been delivered. They claim that attempts have been made to deliver yet no yellow notice id ever left on my door. You wait online forever as only one person works the window and once the janitor was sent to get me my package from the back and he gave me someone else's package even though I provided ID and told him my name several times. I didn't learn that he was the janitor until I asked why he was so confused and he told me who he was and that he was just trying to help them out due to staffing shortages. I asked to speak to the supervisor who they claimed was gone for the day yet I had spoken with her via telephone only minutes prior to my arrival. This PO needs an overhaul. read more

On 10/3 an employee was rude to me when I enquired about a missing package, then left me on hold and WENT HOME. I waited for *45* minutes before I gave up, and went I hung up and immediately called back the post office was closed. I wish I'd gotten her name, because this is the worst customer service I've ever received. In my 4 weeks living in this post office's area they've lost 2 packages, both valuable, and delivered every package at least a week late. This is 100% unacceptable and my quality of life has gone way down due to the stress of fighting with them constantly. Like the reviewers below, I also wish that there was a no star review for this lazy, inefficient and corrupt post office. 'Features' of this post office include: - Birthday cards (including cash and checks) not delivered, probably stolen. (I know you are supposed to prevent this by not mailing these in the first place, but they are usually from grandparents who do not realize how corrupt this place is. I now have all cash wired to my bank.) - Multiple instances of packages not delivered at all. Often, we have been in, and when the mail comes there is an orange receipt to say that the doorbell has been rung but there was no reply. This is an obvious lie, as we were in, and the doorbell was not rung. They are just too lazy to carry the package from the mail truck to your door. So you then have to take the receipt and find time to go to the post office itself, and stand in line. But more on that below. - Packages sent back to sender as 'address unknown.' This is ridiculous, it is not as if we are in an apartment block, we have a house in a street. Again they are too lazy to deliver. - One package returned to sender, package and contents completely destroyed. - One package left at the PO, and when I picked it up from the PO the side was ripped open and the contents spilling out, no explanation given or extra tape on the package - nothing. - The PO is slow, staff are rude, it's usually one staff on duty, a big line, and the other staff wandering through with cups of coffee to see how things are going. Last wait was 25 minutes+. - There is a complaint system. However, the Kingsessing PO is supposed to contact you afterwards to acknowledge that they have received the complaint. THEY NEVER DO THIS. I have never experienced PO service like this anywhere, even in Third World countries. This Post Office is lazy, and are holding back packages, and probably stealing and otherwise disposing of mail, before it gets to the addressee. read more

I believe that there is theft going on at this post office location. In the 28 days I have had this post office as my carrier, I have had 2 packages supposedly delivered that never were and several letters that have disappeared as well. What's worst is that I have filled 5 reports concerning the missing items, am always promised that I will be called within 2-3 business days, and they have never contacted me. Shady. This is one of the WORSE Post offices in Philadelphia. The staff is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. I've been waiting for my package to be redelivered to my home going on two days. First, I was told that my package was on the mail truck and would be delivered on 4/15..mail lady came, but no package. She said that I need to contact a Supervisor. I called P.O AGAIN and was told that package was still on the shelf stuck behind some other packages and it will go out today 4/16..We'll see. This P.O needs a COMPLETE STAFF OVERHAUL AND QA TRAINING. Now I see why they are losing money....DARN SHAME! PITIFUL! They can't seem to hire qualified staff. read more

I placed an order with Amazon. A week later I find the slip in my mail box indicating that the mail man came on Sep13th, around 8pm and nobody was home. I can assure you that I was home. He never tried to deliver it or knock on the door. Ok so I took the slip went on line and rescheduled a delivery day. I added a note in the system indicating that I will sign the back of the slip and agree to have the package left on the porch. I received an electronic confirmation through the system. I taped the slip back on my mail box Tuesday Sep16th morning. When, I came back from work the slip still there with new mail in my box. Either the mail person missed it which I doubt or he/she didn't feel like taking it back again too lazy. Today Wednesday Sep17th I called the manager, the lady indicated that she does have my request and will call me when the package is being re-delivered. Coming back from work the slip still taped on my mail box, while I was in the living room I saw the mail man on my porch delivering some mail and getting ready to leave. I opened the door and talked to him asking why he didn't take the slip with him, yesterday I said see I signed it to leave the package on the porch. He indicated that the slip was never there yesterday, and then it wasn't him working yesterday it's the first time he has seen it and he already tried to deliver the package 3 times, which is impossible because I ordered the item only a week ago. So not only he's lazy but a liar. I already had issues with this post office and have a complaint placed with the center. At one time I stopped receiving my mail and never understood why. I'm initiating a new complaint and as everybody know playing with the mail is considered a federal offence which employees can do prison for it. I will see how things will go from now on. read more

My mail is always getting lost at this branch they have some of the worst delivery people working there. They can steal your stuff and mark it as delivered and there's nothing you can do about it. Well, they've done it again. I made the mistake of ordering home delivery through Amazon Prime. When I saw that they claimed it would be 2 day delivery (on a Sunday) I called to find out the carrier. Since their customer service is obviously in another country, they told me they didn't know which carrier was going to deliver the package. Although I assured them that this post office DOES NOT DELIVER ON SUNDAY (or a number of days DURING THE WEEK), they tried to convince me that the package would be delivered by FedEx or UPS. That agent was a liar - of course the carrier was USPS. when I called to make a complaint about the carrier, I was assured that "Amazon had a special relationship with the Postal Service, and the package was coming via Parcel Service and would bypass this posy office. Received a text at around 10 am although NO PACKAGE HAD BEEN DELIVERED. Called Amazon again to be told an investigation would be initiated and take 2-3 days,. So much for 2 day delivery or Sunday delivery in this zip code. read more

Absolutely horrible. They claim to have delivered a package to my door BUT I never received it. I call and speak to Ms J who uses a GEO TRACKER and tracks the delivery to a house across the street. Then she speaks with the carrier who says that he gave the package to a little boy at that address. I have serious concerns about giving a child a package that does not belong to his address. A few days later they say that the package was delivered to my address and the carrier provided incorrect information about where he delivered the package to. Now supposedly, the carrier is confusing my street with the next street over. How convenient. I am out of my item and then to add insult to injury Mr L says I can file a claim. Now, how realistic is it that they would pay a claim for an uninsured item that they have a whole new story for. The Moral of this story is use anybody but USPS. read more

This post office is pathetic. I had a pakage delivered to my parents home in this zip code. My parents were at home at the time the postal worker claims to have delivered the pakage. The postal worker did not ring the bell, did not leave a slip and claimed to have delivered pakage at 1:52 pm. This post office has inexcusably bad service. I have lived in the 19143 zip code for over ten years and have had counless bad experiences during this time. The worst have been lost packages and mail. Even when packages are delivered more times than not I will A. recieve no notice that a delivery attempt was made or B. packages will be left on my doorstep even though I have no porch and my front door opens directly onto a busy commercial street. Numerous times packages have been left on our doorstep even when there is a 'delivery confirmation' sticker. This has happened even while I was home and the doorbell wasnt even rung. Whenever possible I have important mail sent somewhere else. If you have to go to the kingsessing station expect longer than usual waits and rude service. read more

This has been my post office for over 30 years. Certified mail "suddenly" arrives at my home with last delivery notices. Packages go missing regularly. Only junk mail gets delivered on days when the "regular" carrier is off duty. The last time I had a problem a package was supposed to have been delivered according to the USPS tracking. I went to the post office, gave the person behind the counter my information, I waited, was passed on to a supervisor who couldn't hear me because customers were screaming at each other. when I asked them to modulate their voices I was called white trash and told to go back to where I came from, no intervention from the postal service employees. My package dissappeared. There is definitely theft at the Kingsessing post office. If you have a choice chose UPS or FedEx. don't count on anything making it from Kingsessing. I think that it's a wonder that the USPS is still in business. read more

Jones at the post office, and she had the nerve to tell me my regular postal carrier was out with an injury that's why for the past 6 months I have been receiving my mail at 8 in the evening.....this is crazy, and because I complained I may never get my mail.....I feel like Im am on punishment for asking a question! I live in California, and my daughter moved to Philadelphia the end of May. Since then, she has not received one of the five packages sent toi her by official companies, grandparents, or me. She has only received two yellow postal slips for packages and when she's gone to this post office to pick up packages, the front counter personnel refuse to check for the packages in the back. This week, my daughter's mail carrier didn't deliver mail until 1030 at night. When my daughter asked to speak to the office supervisor, she got no results and no-one would check for her packages in the back. My daughter's not a wilting violet and she's lived in plenty of rough inner-city neighborhoods, so she's not one to back down easily. I'm pretty sure the carriers aren't supposed to be delivering people's mail in secure buildings at 1030 at night, and I'm certain that it's a felony to with-hold mail in this way. The items we sent were important and I don't know how to find them or get them to her. I've advised my daughter to file a formal grievance at this point, but wonder what good it will do. read more
