Awful experience with Sean the "supervisor". They lose a package. Have no answer or accountability. Not friendly and unapologetic to boot.

Mr. Lubin charged him $10 even though the price set by NJ Department of Treasury Division of Revenue and Enterprise Service caps the price state wide at $2.50. When my father questioned the 4x upcharge, Mr. Lubin said "he was doing my father a favor (the document was signed at this point) he could have charged my father $20 or $30" This price is set by the state, yet Mr. Lubin took advantage of the situation and a senior citizen. My father contacted the county and the state notifying them of Mr. Lubin and this establishment of unfair business practices.

I taught about 14 years ago and always bought supplies at this store. I was very excited to finally have time to go this past Saturday. I looked up the store hours which stated they closed at 5. I arrived a little before 4pm and was greeted by a gentleman asking me if I needed help finding anything. I explained one of the many items I was looking for and he replied very abruptly "I have no idea what you are talking about!" and walked away to help other customers. I went about my business looking at everything and getting ideas of what I was going to purchase. I was then approached by the gentleman again asking if I needed further assistance and I told him I was just looking around. After the way he responded the first time I needed help, I realized he didn't really want to be helpful. He then proceeds to tell me that he hates to tell me this, but he's closing soon. Being as I knew they closed at 5pm, I questioned the closing time while looking at my watch noticing it was only 4. He stated sometimes people have things to do and have to close early. More people were walking in and he said in a very annoyed manner "UGH, now more people are coming in, I guess I have to stay open. I'll give you a little time to shop, but not too much longer." At that point I was completely turned off and told him he lost me as a customer and how nasty he is. It's not like I live very close to this store and to be treated with poor customer service after I made a special trip there is unacceptable. Being as it's the only teacher store left in the area, I will continue to shop online as I did as soon as I got home from Borden's. I had sent an email asking for the owner to contact me. It is now Wednesday and still have not received any response. I have a feeling the gentleman I encountered may be the owner and seriously needs some customer service training or even simply how to treat others.

I showed up at the wrong time to pick them up and they were closed but some men were just arriving in from a delivery. They showed pity on me and hooked me up. Lois is one of their captains and he was super helpful. They have all different sorts of things to rent. Popcorn machines, lots of different tables and chairs and linens specialty frozen drink machines etc. etc. etc. I am excited and delighted to recommend this company! I appreciate people who work hard and can be flexible. Make sure you note the times for your picking up and dropping off. I also love the fact that I did not have to drop the tables back the next day after my party. There's no charge and flexibility is a game changer for me.

Everything was perfect. I would highly recommend A-1 Tents in Point Pleasant.

We knew the size, the appropriate BTUs and even the approximate cost. We made the rounds; Lowe's, Home Depot, Sears, PC Richards and a handful of others by phone. We checked the various products on line as well. We had a salesman at one of these stores tell us we had better act fast because this is going to be the warmest summer ever. (Thanks for the heads up. I'm also deeply concerned about global warming and polar bear migration, but for now an 8200 BTU AC unit is my focus and I'll battle the other problems in a different arena.) We called Palumbo's and we were treated with courtesy, respect and not subjected to over blown sales pitches. The salesman took our information, researched the available products and called us back with a price. There was no bartering, no high pressure sales pitch, just answers to our questions. The price we were quoted on a GE air conditioner was much cheaper than what we had been quoted elsewhere. In two days the unit was delivered, installed and the old one hauled away for a fair price. It pays to treat customers right. We need other appliances for the condo and we will be getting them at Palumbo's.
