Usually a lot of foot traffic in this area so be aware while driving. Inside is adequate. Some employees are great, others not too great. Sometimes they have their priority mail supplies stocked, sometimes not. But they seem to know their regulars which is nice. I'll probably be a regular there too eventually since I've only been living here a short time! I'd probably like it better if they said "Hey Shanon, how are you today??" when I walk in! Life's goals :)

That guy really cheers up my day I tell you, I always feel good leaving the post office, as weird as that might sound. Also, they're open to 5:30 AND I got my passport through here and it only took 7 days after they told me the wait was 6 weeks. Coincidence? I think it's their good karma. I have to deliver the damn Excise tax myself & pay interest. Because it kept coming back to me like what is the problem! They lose your mail! Never answer the damn phones! Half the time I have to do their job. Cause they put peoples mail in wrong boxes! Prices keep going up & service keeps declining! How hard is it to read a name & address & put it in the right box? Ronny Garcia was the best mailman this post office has ever seen. Too bad this man retired. Quality of service sucks! Today, an employee even grabbed a hand truck to help me get a big and bulky box out of my car - much appreciated as I'd been dreading how I was going to pick this thing up for days now! The only drawback is the smallish waiting area (if there's a line you'll feel a little cramped), and the tiny and weirdly laid out parking lot. People are always whipping in and out of here so quickly, so be careful in the lot. The drop off where it meets the road is also incredibly steep and can make you bottom out. Sometimes I want to skip this location just due to the crazy driveway, but then I remember how friendly the workers always are and I suck it up and come here anyways!

I loved these beautiful old books that were still on the shelves. Very clean and comfortable. They also offer a small selection of books for sale.

The old and the new…read more Rogers Free Library was always a very cool place to look at books. Built way back in 1877 out of brown sandstone, it had a very dignified and pleasantly archaic look about it. However it was small and just didn't have enough room to hold many books or other typical library conveniences. Finally a couple of years ago the town decided to do something about their charming if diminutive library and expanded the original library into the long out of business Bristol Furniture Company building right next door. In fact the two old buildings were actually touching so turning them into one larger building wasn't a difficult as it sounds. The results are fantastic. The area of the library has more than tripled, giving room for many more books, several new meeting and study rooms and very importantly 50 new computer stations open to the public. The two buildings blend together seamlessly and you can't even tell exactly which one you are in without stopping and thinking about it. The great thing is that the library still has that great small town, very inviting and comfy feeling. Definitely not sterile, static and homogenized like many more modern libraries. Modern technology can never replace the great feel of being in a old building. The Rogers Free Library is a great example of how to do something right. They manages to add the new without losing or sacificing the old. I…read morestood in line for over an hour waiting to simply drop off 3 ups Amazon returns, (which as a side note this is supposed to be a more convenient method for Amazon returns) & the ONE worker they had behind the counter was a woman who was taking that current time (a very busy time) to rip into & remove everyone's items separately from the boxes the customers had the items pre packaged inside of, & she than bagged the items in a plastic bag versus the boxes they were already originally inside of & than she would place the items in these new sealed bags inside of these larger boxes behind the counter, creating double the work for herself, & she would keep scanning a barcode on the side of the big box for each item that went inside of it. When I did finally get to the front of this ridiculously long line that moved in very slow motion I asked her why she was doing this & she told me "if the items are inside of a bag versus a box it saves room inside the larger boxes". Which I can appreciate & understand the logic behind this, however what I should have asked was why she was choosing to do this right than & there versus ohhhhh idk, maybe when it's not the busiest time of the day?!? I couldn't understand why there was no one in charge to tell her what she was currently doing was creating more work for herself, but more importantly was creating an unnecessary delay for every single person that stood on that line! I mean if your so set on saving space just scan the packages as their coming in, inside of the boxes customers have already packaged them inside of, put them aside, give the customer their receipt, & tear into these boxes & re-bag everything in plastic bags when the line isn't going out the door & THAN place them in of the bigger boxes all going to Amazon to save space & also to save customers time & aggravation.
