This really should have been a two day job, the crew and we were exhausted by the end of the day. I'm not really upset about the cost difference because I knew what their hourly rate was. The crew really wanted to get it all wrapped up for us by the end of the day instead of stretching to another day because they had another job the next day bright and early. The booking office is really putting their workers through the wringer and I don't appreciate that. The crew was kind and delicate with our items. They were being gracious and offering to do whatever we wanted with regards to helping pack remaining items, disassembling and reassembling furniture, and organizing things at the new house. I may have taken note of their time for these things if it hadn't been clear by noon that this was going to already be a very long day. By 10pm I was just happy to have everything remaining that we own in the garage. So I did enjoy the crew, but if you go with this company and have a lot of stuff then you need to do some legwork yourself to get an accurate estimate. I had a three bedroom 1700 sqft house with a large basement and garage and it took 15 hours and cost $4k.

If moving is a stressful event, these are the guys you want pulling into your driveway. HUGE smiles, greetings, friendly! All put me at ease immediately, and we began the process. Sam explained all the billing to me, and we headed into and around the house to tour all the furniture and boxes they were to load up and move away. From the first second (NOT an exaggeration), they dove in, and boxes were being moved in almost a seamless fashion. A bit over an hour later (maybe closer to an hour and a half), they were on their way. They arrived - again - all smiles, checking in with me: how was I doing? And we toured the new house and explained where everything would go. They hustled, delivering boxes and furniture to all the designated rooms. They asked questions if they were unsure. AND for me, probably one of the biggest, most helpful moments, we negotiated for them to assemble my youngest's bed. I could not have done it. They worked tirelessly (well, maybe they were tired - but their assurances and smiles belied any weariness or frustration) and assembled the most complicated bed I have ever seen! Both my child and I agreed - had it been left up to us, we probably would have abandoned it. Sam and 2 other guys moved our 3 bedroom house locally in 5.5 hours, and this included finishing up a lot of extra packing that we didn't finish before they arrived on moving day. They also brought a second truck to carry all of our garage/outdoor belongings, which was nice to know that those things weren't co-mingling with our indoor belongings. We were not initially quoted for a 2nd truck but we were also not charged extra for it based on our agreed-upon hourly rate, so it was much appreciated!
