But the last time I visited this location there was no line and it was rather a pleasant experience. There is one staff member who I regularly works the counter and he is so helpful and professional that it makes up for any long lines I experience. This location also has a passport office. The parking lot is a pay lot but the first 30 minutes are free. Make sure you don't loose your ticket as the parking lot attendees can be a bit nasty about that.

In 1883 the town of Murray, Idaho didn't even exist, but the discovery of gold in the area led to a gold rush. Soon the town burgeoned full of 2,000 adventurous souls who came to stake a claim and get rich. Like many small towns of the era, the discovery of gold gave birth to Murray, and like many of those same small towns the absence of gold led to its virtual demise. By 1898 all that remained of the once booming town was a bunch of empty buildings and a handful of hopeful holdouts. Today, Murray is a stop of for tourists mostly passing through to Montana. But there are tours from Couer' d' Alene that take vans full of curious folks out to see a real live ghost town with fewer than 30 people living within its boundaries! That's Murray. Many original buildings are still standing, and this tiny post office proudly serves the handful of families that still need it. Though it is small, it is mighty and durably constructed to withstand the cold Idaho winters. If you find yourself visiting Boise or Couer' d' Alene, look for tours heading up to Murray. The town of Murray will surprise you with its ghost town look and feel, but the history of the place will captivate you. Murray is north of Wallace in Idaho's Silver Valley. Take exit 43 from Interstate 90 and follow the Couer' d' Alene River about 30 miles.

I filed a case with 1800-ASK-USPS and was told it could take up to 72 hours before I heard a response. I then been contacted the last post office to handle the package, which was this location. I originally spoke with Stacey, who was extremely helpful. She went above and beyond to locate and retrieve my package, in order for it to get delivered to the correct customer. I received several phone calls updating me on the status of the case from Stacy as well as Mike. I know that business is busy around this time of year (with the hol but they both made time to help me with a situation when they did not have to. Though I have never physically been to this location, the customer service I received out of this world!

I cut the check, (my first mistake), and mailed it (my second mistake) in a public mailbox 1.5 miles away from the Bountiful Post office. I went to collect my mail on January 15th and it was blocked from receiving any mail. They looked into their computer system and it showed that particular box hasn't been rented since 2014. I showed them my key and explained I have been paying for it for 12 years. The supervisor went back and found the record under my personal name rather than the company name the box was rented to. The supervisor said to me "the payment must have been lost in the mail." Oh by the way, they sent all the mail in the box back to the senders. What a mess.

Anyone can tell the Staff cares and puts pride in their work. I arrived on a Saturday morning in July and the line inside was quite short. I was/am having major issues getting my mail forwarded for the summer and she has followed up at multiple levels. The postmaster actually went out and checked my mailbox, the carrier was difficult to contact, the National Post office forwarding office was unable to answer their phone...and Sandra worked through all this and called me several times to keep me advised. She is still on it, resubmitted everything and is starting from scratch. Can't say enough good things, and this is a relatively small Post Office with limited resources.
