I had an issue with some of my packages that were marked as undeliverable. I went to the post office to see if they could help me figure out why, and Amy (possibly the manager) was so incredibly kind helpful. I also saw her help a customer with postage stamps, and it made me feel the holiday spirit! I was standing in a super long line because it was around the holidays, and she immediately helped me because I did not have to ship a package and she was able to fix my issue immediately. I hope Amy is recognized for her incredible customer service and kind heart. Her coworkers are lucky that they get to work with her, and I am thrilled that she is at my local post office. read more

Always great customer service, although the line is usually very long to ship anything out. The way around this is by obtaining your own label printer and packaging materials so you can skip the wait and drop off your packages in the drop box. The clerks really take their time with each customer, which can be seen as a good or bad thing, depending on your perspective; but I appreciate the quality customer service and attentiveness to care! read more

This is the post office closest to my home. I go here frequently and the service has been impeccable each time. It does help to be knowledgeable about postage guidelines and stuff. You should bring your own tape and make sure you weigh your package and measure it to post it correctly if you are shipping something or returning something. Don't use a priority ship box or envelope unless you plan on paying for priority shipping. I wait on so many people confused about how to use priority shipping packages in this line. They have a new kiosk that allows you to mail packages with tracking now during off-times. Very innovative and genius of the post office. It saves me a lot of time when I sell something online. read more

I came here to set up a p.o.box. I stood online for a few minutes. The clerk helped me right away. Got me set up with the application and my new P.O. Box in less than 5 minutes. Pro tip if your coming into set up a P.O. box you will need two forms of ID. Check out the list of approved documents before going. They also have an online application for an even quicker process. read more

This place blows. Every time you go there, she find ways to charge you more. If you don't take your package taped , she charges you for strips of tape. Seriously! I went in there a couple weeks ago to drop off a package I prepaid for on eBay. It was about 1.1 - 1.2 lb., so I rounded to 1 lb. She decides to weigh and tell me it's 1.5 lbs and should be charged at 2lbs. She says the tape and label probably added some weight. Interesting she's allowed to round up... I grabbed it and left. Went to another office where they just scanned it and that's it. Never a problem at ANY other post office, UPS, or FedEx! Hell, never a problem with any other employee except the one older brunette. Worst post office ever! There was one person on the counter while the line was building up. This lady had an "I don't give a crap" look on her face and was taking her sweet time helping one customer while the rest of us looked on in humorous disbelief. Finally another worker casually saunters out to help, by this time the cue was almost out to the door! Luckily this new worker got through three customers when the stylish braided lady was still with the one customer who had just the one priority envelope! This post office is super close to my house and I love it for that. They can be stingy when it comes to the EXACT amount of change for shipping a package, so word to the wise: go for the higher weight rather than the lower! There's a drive up drop box which is super convenient. You can fit whatever can fit in there anytime of the day whether or not the post office is open or close! How about that?! Talk about convenient! Otherwise not sure how long it'd take you if you were going in, my guess is it would depend on the time of day it was. read more

Happiest postal workers on the planet here. I'm so glad this is my "home" post office because there's a couple others in close proximity to my house that I'd rather avoid like the plague due to really crappy parking and even crappier attitudes. Sugarhouse has a big parking lot and I never have trouble getting a spot. I usually forego human interaction altogether and opt for using the automated postal machines, but in the event I need to sign for something or whatever I am glad that this lovely Sugarhouse post office is my place. read more

The Sugarhouse post office is conveniently located just north of 2100 south and 1100 east, right in the heart of the Sugarhouse neighborhood. There is a large parking lot out front offering plenty of space to accommodate the many daily customers. Inside the post office offers the usual services: PO boxes for rent, an automated postal center, and of course helpful postal workers ready to weigh, stamp, and ship your packages. In the many years I've been going to this post office I've always found the staff to be some of the friendliest and most cheerful postal workers around. Maybe something about Sugarhouse just "sugars" their personalities up a little. This post office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am-6:00pm. But don't worry if you arrive after business hours they have an automated postal center where you can ship First Class, Priority and Express mail. read more

Hands down the best post office with the best employees in SLC. They get people in and out in a timely manner and are always willing to help. Jaren is the post master for the route on which I live and he is amazing. Super sweet and caring to my dogs; Jaren ensures the mail gets delivered no matter what and is always SO polite and nice. Wedding invitation NIGHTMARE: Worst Post Office experience EVER--I'd give zero stars if I could!! I took my wedding invitations to the post office to see how much postage I'd need--I was told 70cents. I spent a lot of money ordering fancy custom stamps for the invites and put a 70cent stamp on each invite. Went in again to actually mail them and waited in line for 20 minutes only to be told that my envelopes (which I'd previously taken in) were about a cm too big and were considered large envelopes so they'd actually need $1 per envelope, not 70cents as I'd previously been told. I'm already annoyed at this point because they wasted my time, but then the woman tells me that they'd most likely still make it out as long as no one individually measured each envelope...she encouraged me to just give it a try because "worst case, they'll just return them to you and you can add 30cents to them then". What she failed to mention was that they'd be returned to me with stickers, writing, and stamping all over them. The expensive custom stamps I'd paid $100 for were all ruined, so in order to mail my nice wedding invites out, I'd need to pay another $100 to replace the original stamps they ruined plus another $50 for the additional 30 cent stamps. If she had mentioned that to me in the beginning, I never would have agreed to "just give it a try." Thanks to her terrible customer service, my wedding invites were all destroyed. I called their manager, Karen, to complain and she was the most insensitive and rude person I've ever spoken to. She kept repeating the same useless excuses to me, refused to take responsibility for two of her employees who gave me misinformation with costly disastrous results, and she refused to reimburse me for the cost I incurred at their fault. She then referred me to the national custom service line to complain, but of course, they had a 37-55 minute wait time....I know the Post Office is a complete sh** show and many of us have had horrendous experiences at various locations, but this is by far the worst customer experience I've ever had. I'd encourage you to take your wedding invitations or important mailings elsewhere. read more

I absolutely hate my mail carrier! I live in the Liberty Park area, and my carrier is the most incompetent, rudest postal carrier I've ever known! She delivers my mail to the wrong address, complains about my dog, and is completely unprofessional! When I called her supervisor and requested a new carrier, I was told that I was stuck with her! In almost any other business, if you have a complaint about the service you are getting from one person, the business will typically send someone else to work with you. In the past year living in Magna, the post office has failed to deliver about $400 worth of packages. Well, they failed to deliver them to me. They tell me they delivered the packages to other people and can't get them back. This has to be the lousiest post office in America! I have no problem with UPS or Amazon courier delivery. Second time being treated with, (as well as being forced to listen to in the longest wait) the most condescending words and attitude from Priscilla. I won't be going back to this location regardless of convenience. I get that this job would have to be the most frustrating given explaining all of the regulations for mailing packages, etc, but when a person dealing with the public feels compelled to talk so loudly in the most condescending way, I actually cannot believe that this person can take themself seriously. Really, the information you're giving the the customer is not too hard for a child to understand. Might want to re-evaluate your job as a postal counter worker and consider treating people like humans that can 'get' the very complex mailing regulations that you are nearly shouting at them. read more

After visiting this post office, it is no surprise to me that the USPS is on the verge of bankruptcy. I have tried to mail the same package 2 separate times. The first time I used the self-serve station. When the package was returned to my house I was slightly surprised (as I had put extra weight on the scale to ensure sufficient postage), but I didn't think much of it. I returned to this post office and tried to mail the package again. This time I spoke with the person working at the counter. They weighed it for me and placed the postage on the package themselves. I was shocked when the package was yet again returned to my house for insufficient postage. It is safe to say that I will be using FedEx or UPS from now on. I am no longer surprised at the USPS having only a handful of customers left, but I am surprised that they have any customers left. read more
