I didn't even have a slip and she wouldn't even check
    Tammy N.

I absolutely had the worst time here trying to pick up an international express package that was obviously here. The person who normally gets the packages came in late and couldn't deliver on time. I get notifications on my phone when my package is ready to be picked up. I came here after work and gave "T" my ID, tracking number, and address. She denied looking for my stuff and didn't even make the slightest attempt to go to the back of the office to look for my packages. When I gave her the info she looked at my paper and gave me attitude saying that its so much information and she made it look like she was fanning her self with the paper. I was very annoyed and thought that was rude of her. She kept arguing with me that the package is in Queen Anne because my address was an Amazon building with the zip code (98109). However, the package was placed in this office (98107) which the tracking number specified. Again, she didn't bother to check. She basically yelled at me for putting my foot near the door. I kept my foot there because I thought the door was going to slam her back. Seriously she is all sorts of trouble and I have never been so distraught to pick up a package at USPS. She even yelled at me telling me I was too close to her to talk to her face to face. I actually gave enough space to talk to her. She kept arguing to the point where she walked me to the parking lot and lectured me about packages. (Like I really don't know? Seriously?) I know the package its not in Queen Anne because I talked to the Supervisor at this location prior visiting the post office. He said my packages are here, in this Ballard location. When I told her that she said whats his name? I didn't remember the person's name on the phone, but I believe it was Ned. This lady gave me a very condescending remark and said it would be REALLY helpful If I asked who I was talking to on the phone. Sometimes people forget to ask, and I know I was at fault for not asking or remember the person's name. But I don't think I need to be put down because of this. I am a customer who needs assistance, not insults. I'm not sure what was wrong with her or if she had a bad day, but I didn't deserve this treatment. I know other USPS locations would still help me with just only a tracking number, and a pink slip was not required. I went to the Queen Anne post office, and I told them everything that happened. And they said that "T" should have looked for my packages regardless because making a trip to Queen Anne would be a hassle to visit. They were kind enough to assist me and they couldn't find the package. They confirmed it was in this Ballard location. I was super furious because I ended up wasting almost $40 in transportation fees using an Uber. I literally cried at the counter at Queen Anne because it shouldn't be this difficult to pick something up. ============== The next day I went by and it got worse. I brought my boyfriend with me to show him that "T" was very difficult to talk to. Once again, she denied me of a service after I said that her supervisor confirmed that the package is here. He wasn't in the office until 2hrs later. It's around 9am, and she told me to come back in 2 hours when here. My package is here I believe you can let me sign for it and I can go home and not bother you anymore. Why should I wait 2 hours? She literally ignored our request and threatened my boyfriend that she would call the police. My boyfriend was accused for slapping her on the wrist and pushing her. SHE'S LITERALLY BEHIND A DOOR. My boyfriend only held the door, and he would never EVER lay a hand on someone. We're not the kind of people who would cause trouble or make a scene. She literally lied to get out of a bad situation and she pretended to call the police to threaten us. I don't know why she would escalate to this level. We also had a witness to see this and he also thought it was absurd. Eventually a nice employee named Sakura came by to assist us with the package. I really appreciate her alleviating the stress and the situation. She told me that the package was WILL CALL and that it is fine to pick up. It's assumed that the previous person was not well-informed about these types of cases. However, she made no attempt at all to help or even check my tracking number. I felt that she didn't want to check because maybe it takes forever to look for the package or she was possibly being lazy. No one should ever have to deal with this kind of level of disrespect or disservice. I am sorry for anyone who has ever had difficulty with this particular person. Every other employee I have encountered here was very nice. I called the office again to thank the supervisor to confirm the packages, but he told me that "T" explained to him that my boyfriend slapped her. I'm sure she said that as a cover up for her actions. I hope disciplinary action is done for this employee misconduct. I am taking this to customer service.

Flat-mail delivery is good. However, my carrier never gives me a chance to sign for packages…read morerequiring signature, resulting in my 45-minute round-trip bus trips to retrieve packages from the Interbay facility. Management has been consistently non-responsive. As I understand USPS policy, when a package requires signature, the carrier is to give the recipient opportunity to sign for it. However, our carrier routinely leaves a yellow slip in our mailboxes in my condo building without calling the unit from the callbox (my phone log shows no calls at delivery time on any such date). USPS will not go to your door in a condo building which, as I understand, is a time-management policy; but it'd seem that they could call. As I've written previously, returning the slip to my box with the required signature doesn't lead to package delivery. I've bused from Uptown to the Interbay facility several times over the past 5+ years to retrieve such packages and spoken to numerous supervisors (there always seems to be a new/different person). They always seem surprised that no contact is attempted. In early July 2025 I asked the supervisor for a written response to my concern and left my address, but there's been no response. I might have thought that when the shared, locked package boxes in our condo are full, USPS may not want to leave a package unattended in the lobby. However, USPS routinely leaves packages unattended in the lobby; again, no delivery to your door in a condo setting, even if you request it. My two-star review is for Interbay management's non-responsiveness.

When I called they said I they would set it aside and I could pick it up. The lady at the counter argued with me that they didn't have it. I insisted to speak with her manager who quickly got it and gave it to me. Another time I submitted mail forwarding and brought all my id to have it verifying. He glanced and at the ID and submitted the paperwork. 2 weeks later I got a letter saying I had to come in and verify my ID! If at all possible go to another location!

This is the WORST post office ever…read more They are always under staffed. Every time I go there to pick up a package I end up waiting in line for 30 to 45 minutes because there is only one person working, and they refuse to call someone to come down and help them. The employees at the front desk tend to be very rude, often yelling at customers and each other. They are clearly overworked and not supported by management. Aside from the constant long lines and horrible customer service, they regularly lose packages, and offer no real answers or solutions. Many times I have found other peoples packages or mail crammed in my mailbox. I have read the other poor reviews on here, and every word is true. Do yourself a favor and avoid this post office, they clearly don't care about providing efficient, friendly service, and have no interest in improving.
