On multiple occasions, including today, this post office is closed during business hours for no reason and no sign or any reason listed... little things like this erode people's trust in our government. Somebody needs to step it up and do the little things right there. We can work on the bigger things step one whoever is in charge of this location needs a negative review and someone with more leadership capacity should be promoted in their spot.

Hours are variable and do not always match the posted opening times. It's a shame because the old Columbia City station used to be convenient and had some friendly, helpful staff. There were many free parking spaces right next to the building. Inside, there was a long line of customers! I guess it's because there are only ten more days until Christmas?!?!? Mercer Island said their machine was broken and would not be repaired. Redmond didn't have a staff person who could operate the machine (from the reviews I read it's been that way for months). Issaquah has one staff member available for fingerprints from 2pm to 6pm. It took me 40 minutes in line to find out that the machine was down for the day. This post office also has a temperamental machine, but one employee was willing to give it a try. The machine here decided not to cooperate and take my fingerprints, but I was overjoyed just to have a chance by the time I made it here. Thank you for letting me try!

She gave me tips on where to eat nearby and where to go for a good view of the city and the Space Needle. She was sharp because she looked at my postcards, knew that I was a tourist and tried to help me find beautiful views of Seattle like those on the postcards! She went over and beyond! She asked of i needed more than ten stamps - because they are "Forever" stamps and the price will be the same now and forever... She's correct. I purchased 20 stamps... LOL!
