On 05/18/2026 around 2:30 p.m., a young man (unfortunately I did not catch his name) helped me submit and mail my passport renewal paperwork. I was already feeling extremely overwhelmed due to personal circumstances, and he remained calm, patient, reassuring, and professional throughout the entire interaction. Unfortunately, the employee next to him, a woman with colored braids and eyeglasses, was dismissive and rude toward me. Despite the young man already informing me he could assist me, she repeatedly tried to discourage me from mailing my paperwork there and told me I should go to another USPS location instead. Her approach added unnecessary stress during an already difficult moment. What stood out to me most, however, was how quickly the young man stepped in after overhearing the interaction. He immediately reassured me and took the initiative to help without hesitation. As someone who works in customer service myself, I know how much one employee can impact a customer's entire experience. One person can make someone feel unwelcome, while another can completely restore their faith in humanity. This employee deserves recognition for the way he treated me with kindness, professionalism, and respect. Employees like him are the reason customers continue returning and trusting USPS services.

Believe it or not this took some time, making them (cards & envelopes) & handwriting #worthwhile. This USPS in Bellflower, Ca is one of the few locations that I prefer & has yet to disappoint me. In the past few months, when i sent my letters/cards from the Inland Empire, my intended addressees informed me they did NOT receive them. One of them was just a few blocks over from our home, a birthday card! The staff here are friendly & efficient. The business is well kept, clean, organized. Service is fairly prompt, wait times are reasonable. The parking lot is sizable. You may send packages across the pond or across the ocean/globe, FedEx, Amazon, send certified mail, not a 100% certain if passports are managed here though, etc Of course they also have P. O. boxes. What I like about this location compared to Lakewood is that the drop off boxes are not locked-- so I am able to drop off simple mail at odd or non-business hours. It is important to those who are only free to conduct business after the USPS is closed. (Service Requested? Didn't I cover this already?) is Yelp having a seizure or stroke?)

In the response I was told "issue resolved" I will get my mail the following day. My regular mail carrier was out. Ok, 2-3 days pass, still no mail. I emailed back stating "Issue NOT resolved" a Bryanna then responds; "the carrier was having access issues to the building." I responded back; There are no access issues. No doors to open, just walk right up to mail slots. The person left sale papers with no problem , but not my mail. She then calls leaving me a message saying "the lock to mail box is broken and waiting to be fixed. Call her to arrange pick-up of my mail." Every time I call the phone just rings and rings then go busy. I've tried several times a day for days, still the same thing. I have yet to get my mail, I have yet to speak to anyone and my mail contain bills. No word was left by carrier about mail box problem. No word on how long it will before they fix the problem, no NOTHING!!! If I wouldn't have reached out, I still wouldn't know what was going on with my mail. I'm now in my 3rd week of trying to get my mail. VERY POOR SERVICE!!!!!

I should've gotten her name, but the lady who answered not only got the carrier to retrieve the package from the wrong location, but also made sure my carrier got the package and delivered it to me. I can't thank my carrier and this angel lady enough. It would've been an extremely depressing Christmas not having anything under my tiny tree, especially from my mom, who is getting older, and who puts so much thought and love into her gifts.
