I was the only one there so I went right to the front, opened the door placed my package inside the door, Lady scanned my QR code, did a few things on the computer. According to their hours, they were supposed to be back by 2:40pm and it's now 3pm and no ones here. The waiting room area is a bit dirty and unkempt, tile's missing pieces from the floor and most importantly they don't keep their word on their service at all. Absolutely horrible! I hate this place, they need to just shut this location down altogether. The most unprofessional place of business and they operate under whatever hours they choose. As a customer I can never access my P.O. Box during the access hours. My neighbors and I found a pile of someone's mail in the alley behind our homes. A homeless person had been living there. They make it impossible to report that I have found someone's mail. Then they hang up on you. Horrible service. If someone steals your mail and it is found by someone, don't bother calling the post office they don't care if unopened medical letters have been found. This is one of the worst, if not worst offices. I had put a "hold" on a package that was intercepted. I was notified that the package was at this location. When I went to retrieve it, the people at the counter said it wasn't there and to try the Bixby location. When I went there, the ladies at the Bixby location called this location and said per USPS own tracking the package was at their location. It was back and forth with people who work at this location for approximately 3 days. When finally someone I spoke to said "Oh no. I seen the hold and I placed it on the delivery truck." So even if there's a hold placed on packages/mail for numerous reasons many workers at this location don't care. Not only was the package misdelivered. Yelp reviews don't lie. I will definitely drive the extra 3 miles next time to go to the other USPS. This was the worst USPS I had ever gone to. Costumer service was horrible. Communication was very poor. And the people working were lazy. I don't even know where to start on this. I can't stress how poor this location is. Unfortunately this is the closest post office to where I live. I only went there because I had to pick up a letter I usually go to other ones near where I work. It is a very sketchy area and last time I had to park in the parking lot that had mattresses and trash and people living there when I came out someone was looking in my car and see me walking up to it and left hurriedly. I honestly thought this place had closed down because when you drive by it it's just an old beat-up looking building that does not indicate any life inside. When you do go inside you have to talk through a bulletproof glass. Like I said I said I was surprised it was opened. And thought it had closed down years ago. Checks don't show up or have been delivered to a house almost a mile away. I've had important pieces of mail from the Treasury NEVER show up. With the post office on Atlantic closed down forever, this is the closet post office for North LBC. It is in the middle of a pretty ghetto neighborhood but I had no problem mailing stuff here. There is a parking lot across the corner of the post office and it is pretty small and busy...be careful while you park here since it is a narrow one. I had to mail some important documents so I did the cardboard envelop priority mail for about $5. read more

Why, oh why, did they close the Bixby office rather than this incompetent location? List of incompetencies over the years: -----On at least 10 occasions, sent a certified letter, but have not received the pink notification slip, or did not receive the slip until the last notification. When handling this at the office, told that that error belongs to the postal carrier, but nothing is ever done about it. -----At least weekly, receive mail from someone at another address--which means they are also receiving my mail. At least I'm honest, as I've received at least 6 checks (IRS, private random, payroll, etc.) that don't belong to me. -----My friends have sent me items with return receipt, received the receipt, but I have never received the item. -----My boyfriend literally sent me something on 12/2 (before the Christmas rush), and after running it down via carrier/office on both coasts, we find that it was buried in their office, picked up on 1/16! -----There are no posted hours of pick-up on their mailbox. -----The supervisor NEVER returns calls, and is never available to speak with you. -----Return mail posted for pick-up, and still in the same place a week later. On numerous accounts my mail has not been delivered or it has been delivered to the wrong house. On top of that, good luck trying to track your package. I have been trying to track and have my package redelivered for over 2 weeks. I signed the redeliver form and left it in the mail box like the instructions said to do, but that didn't work. I went to the USPS website to try to do a re-delivery 4 times, that didn't work either. I tried calling, but the line is always busy, what a coincidence. When I finally got a person on the phone, I got automatically put on hold for 10 minutes. Mind you there is no hold music, so you don't if you are on hold or if you got hung up on. I tried to call the same number from a different phone and found out that the line was busy. That is how I came to the conclusion that I was put on hold. Otherwise I would have just figured I have been hung up on. The person finally picked up and rudely told me that he had to put me on hold because there are 2 people there and he has to work the line. Then I heard click, and back on hold I was.No warning, or sentence saying I was going on hold, just a click and silence. He picked up once again and I was able to finally give him my tracking number. Back on hold I went for another 5 minutes so he could find my disappearing package. Finally he gets back on the line and tells me he has found my package, but it has been mislabeled. By now, I am not surprised anything he tells me. Not only is my package mislabeled, but from his system he doesn't have any information that I filled out a redeliver request. Mind you I filled out 4 of them on the website. www.usps.com. I told him that I had 4 different confirmation numbers and he told me that those will do him no good. Well I am glad that I went through that process online for it to NOT work. After all said and done he says he has my mislabeled package and that he can have it delivered tomorrow. Nope, I am good on that since it is very clear this post office cannot handle the simplest of tasks. Tomorrow will be the real surprise when I get my package, since the contents are glass. Put aside this terrible experience, which has not been my first with this location, but the customer service was far beyond terrible! If you can go to any other location, do so! read more

So the item had the same address as the other? Do you all transpose numbers and get them backward or something? Obviously, you were at the wrong address, Sherlock! Why the hell would a package that was meant to be delivered to a residence be delivered to the post office? On my SHOP app I was notified that my package was delivered come to find out when I got home that no package was present and there was people there all day. Are the usps postal carriers lazy and just don't want to deliver a package out of their way. My package is available for pick up at a post office that just lists the zip code on the usps website. There are dozens of post offices near by so I guess I just have to guess which one to go to. It took a while but I figured out where it's at but based on the bad reviews which is most of them, I do not look forward to going to this location on market street. Just a bunch of people who don't give a damn. My bf and I ordered 2 packages to be delivered within 3 days. Their tracking system said attempted delivery but hours later said it was relocated back to Riverside and going through sorting. What?!. So he called and had to basically hard to call several numbers to talk to a live person in which they said it would be delivered within 9 days. What the hell?! So we contacted the company whom we ordered our items from and they got the same run around and said they would resend them. So on 7/9/15 we were suppose to receive the packages and got up early to wait. He checks the status and it said that an attempted delivery was made. Liars! No you didn't attempt to deliver anything because we haven't gone anywhere and why is the notice for your "attempted" delivery in the mailbox rather than left on our door? Took off a few hours to sign for a very important package. Mail carrier was not the one who usually delivers (per him). He told me that the package was not going to get delivered until tomorrow. Original date of delivery was Monday....called post office before they closed. Someone to a very nice lady. Will not give name. Have her email information stating they sent me an email with today's date for delivery. Gave her tracking number. Package still in this North Long Beach post office which is not my regular post office. She did not apologize but said she would personally deliver it to the shipping crew for delivery tomorrow. Told her I will pick up tomorrow a.m.. Very disappointed with service. This is reason I wish the sender would have sent it FedEx or UPS...too much delivery problems with USPS... If I could give 0 stars, I would. This post office is full of incompetent workers who struggle to follow basic requests on the delivery of packages. I had added the line "PLEASE LEAVE THE PACKAGE EVEN IF NO ONE OPENS THE DOOR" (four times repeatedly mind you) in the additional comments section of an item purchase. The delivery man totally ignored the request and wrote "must be present in delivery." Whatever, that was the first straw. I then rescheduled for delivery several occasions and never heard back, so I then rescheduled for a post office pick up. So I go to pick it up, and the infamous man named in previous reviews of this place told me that "the case was closed" and that I should call back for the delivery supervisor. tl;dr: This is the worst postal service I've had the privilege to work with and they have seemingly lost my package without notifying me at all.
