Chris is the absolute BEST! No matter what time of day he is always smiling and greets you warmly. Asks how your day is, what else can I do for you and then ALWAYS says have a nice day with a great smile. This is why I come to this Post Office. Even if I don't get him, if he sees you he will say hello. Also, Antwana is very friendly and welcoming from day one. Both she and Chris should always be on the front line. Perfect location to mail packages on the weekend when they are closed! I liked that although, the windows were closed, that there was still entry to utilize the machine. This location is older so the PO BOXES are ancient but cool looking. I think someone cleans this post office because the garbage was emptied, there were no scrap parts lying around and the doors and windows appeared to have been wiped clean. NICE! It's best on weekends as the weekdays are busy busy. Parking is hard on the weekdays and it is not a quick in and out but on weekends... the place is all yours with plenty of free parking I LOVE TEMPE! IT'S THE VIBES For me. read more

Even though my address on a package was perfect solely because it has my Tiktok Username and name my government name they returned to sender instead of holding onto it so I can get it at the post office, they will deliver other people's taxes and mail to my mailbox that have absolutely no relation to me what so ever but the moment I MYSELY, get a package that isnt exactly my name they returned it and didn't deliver it to me with no warning, didn't try to contact me what so ever to confirm. Sucks to have such an unpleasant experience when driving to the post office and then the woman at the front desk having such a nasty attitude and the mail man in this area also has a nasty attitude. Why are employees from post offices always so grouchy? I definitely have no idea, but its mostly always true. This location is always busy when I stop by, and I have stopped by at several different times. I was only here to buy one stamp and send out two priority mail boxes . Piece of cake right? Wronggggg. They had an associate working out in the lobby trying to handle all the smaller transactions. This lady was very unfriendly and kept looking over at me suspiciously. She didn't say hi or acknowledge me, but yet she was watching me the whole time. Ive been to a ton of post offices where the employees usually let me borrow one of their tape rolls. When we asked this lady if they had tape I could borrow, she quickly snapped at me. She looked irritated and told me I had to buy a roll for about $3.50. Haha umm no. Another customer must've heard and she kindly let me have a few pieces of tape from her roll. The end. Thank you to the customer who was in line and gave me tape. You the best. read more

There is great customer service at the counter and the postal workers are personable and helpful. I haven't used the counter in years, I've used the self serve kiosk instead. Today was a different story. I loathe those new kiosks. They are so awful and frankly I'd rather have their old version rather than these new ones with fancy color screens. It's not that I'm not tech savvy, because I am. Here is why I dislike the new kiosks so much. There is no question regarding what I'm mailing, as in the past. The software assumes I'm mailing a package. I'm mailing a large envelope which it then asks me for dimensions and shows me a graphic of a box. Um, no. It's an envelope and you don't need dimensions...you never needed them before. Then I go to put in the zip code and I practically had to push my finger through the screen to get it to respond. This is not a touch screen USPS. This is a PRESS HARD AND HOLD YOUR FINGER ON THE KEY until it responds screen. I have things to do and not time to monkey with this danged useless piece of junk. I mentioned to the postal worker my issue and she encouraged me to let my frustrations be known by going to the USPS website and complaining. Yay for her for not taking my gripe personally and commiserating with me instead. So I guess from now on, I'll wait in line just like in the olden days. Bummer. read more

Called in multiple times rude and disrespectful to me for something simple and overall I waited to hours for one answer over the phone

I understand the USPS is going through a rough time at the moment. With their funding in question and mass layoffs looming, it can't be easy being a postal worker right now. With all that said, it's absolutely inexcusable for them to send back a package that SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN SENT BACK. I ordered a mattress frame and on 9/2, they said the package was too big to be put in a storage locker so a notice was left. I requested re-delivery on 9/7. After getting confirmation from them that the package will be sent back out on 9/7, I thought the matter was settled. Not only did the re-delivery not happen, there was no follow up explaining why the package never arrived. I finally went to this post office on 9/9 and after looking for close to 30 minutes (27 to be exact), they said the package was sent back. What??? The man in charge explained that they send packages back after ten days, BUT IT HADN'T BEEN TEN DAYS YET. I actually showed them the email from USPS stating that the package was at the post office ready for pick-up, and he denied being able to read the email. That's a new excuse. Not being able to read the email that's literally in front of you? I had to state specifically "third paragraph, first sentence." Even then, he repeated that the package has been sent back since they don't hold anything over ten days. I said it hasn't been ten days yet, and he said the original delivery date was 9/2. I tried explaining again that even if you count the date from 9/1 (the day prior), the fact that the day I went to go get it was 9/9 proved that it hadn't been ten days yet no matter what weird alternative fact you use. He said again (for the fourth or fifth time at this point) that they don't hold anything over ten days. I left without another word at this point. If we disagree on DATES and NUMBERS (things that shouldn't be disputed), then we're never going to agree on anything. Avoid this place if possible, and opt for pick-up if that's an option. read more

They lost my package and told me "there's nothing we can do". Unable to file a claim with USPS because it wasn't insured. Mail carrier marked it "delivered" although it wasn't. Called every day for 14 days, got no answers. This is the third time it has happened. First the mail carrier said our apartment was vacant (we've lived here for over 3 years.."), then she said out apartment had a different name inside the mailbox (no, that's a lie), and then she said our address didn't exist ("no such address", again a lie). Melissa, the supervisor, refuses to take action against our mail carrier and now I'm left without a bridesmaid dress thanks to the carrier. No answers, got the run around for over 2 weeks, and nothing. read more

Recently moved to the Tempe area and apparently this post office is unable to have their carriers deliver our packages to our door so every time we have a package sent through USPS it takes several days past the guaranteed delivery date to even receive it. They force us to go all the way to the post office and we can't even get the package on the day it arrives. This makes no sense, it's our mail and we should have the right to have it delivered where we prefer. I have a daily recurring pickup via USPS.com because I regularly ship out a bunch of packages. Sadly, these folks are completely unreliable and miss one or two pickups a week. I finally added a note to my mailbox to remind the postman to pick up the packages, but they still do not do so on a consistent basis. I actually went to the post office once to ask why my packages weren't being picked up, and their response was that the guy didn't see them. This despite my including instructions with my pickup requesr that the packages would be located directly beneath my mailbox in a box labeled "USPS Pickup." Only go here if you have ZERO questions and even better, if you can just use the DIY machine in the Lobby. I've had a P.O. Box here since the early 90's. I have had both great service and terrible. Overall it's a decent Post office hub with some really good employee's. There are also some who don't care and it shows on how they treat you. I try to avoid going to the counter if at all possible but sometimes I have to because of the amount of mail or size of packages. Some play games with your mail by sticking them in your box so they are almost falling out the backside. Yes if the box was full it would be them attempting to not make you have to go to the counter but this is not always the case. If you grab your mail without being careful then letters drop and you are out of luck. You have to either go to the counter (if open) or worse come back because they are closed. I do come late at night with my schedule and find many times homeless people sleeping in the lobby. This just happen 2 nights ago. Listen I felt bad for the person it was cold outside but they were drunk and acting up. I am a larger build male and can handle myself but going to the post office shouldn't be a security concern. I can't carry a weapon in the lobby but they allow homeless people to sleep there? Doesn't make much sense but if you are going to this PO late at night beware of what you can run into. For a long time they also were putting a lot of mail into my box that wasn't mine. I had to address that issue repeatedly but it seems to have been corrected at this point. read more

Really like the staff here, they really go out of their way to help you with everything. They have long lines and they are very busy. But, they seem to go through everyone really quickly and still have a smile and good information. The lobby is always open as well which also makes it good because you can get most of what you need. I called the post office yesterday because apparently my package was dropped off at my apt. The guy on the phone was pretty sarcastic and told me my package was at the post office and that it would be ready for pick up in the morning. I come to the post office the next morning and a woman helped me. She was very nice to the guy in front of me but was very rude to me. I told her about my situation. She went to look for my package and came back telling me that the postal man had said he left it at my apt complex yesterday. Of course I was skeptical about the package so I asked a couple of questions and she replied with yes or no answers. I don't know if she was cranky but they had just open so I don't know what her problem was. I go back to my apt. Office and they don't have it. I had a delivery issue with an international package where my unit# was not included and processed to be returned to the sender in Russia. The parcel already went through a lengthy process in customs and was very important for an upcoming weekend. I tried calling the USPS customer service line... useless.... I then tried calling a random, local USPS location in my area to try and speak with someone directly about my issue. One of the best post offices I've used, even compared to various ones in other states. The staff here are always fast, efficient, and friendly. I haven't had any problems here trying to mail things out, whether it's a package going to an international location, getting money orders, or just buying a pack of stamps. They also have a lobby with an automated service you can use. If you are really in a hurry and are just mailing something out, there are 2 drive-through boxes for dropping off letters. read more

No longer a fan. I have a post office box and it was locked. Went in and the manager said it was expired and I should have been given a notice. I check EVERY piece of mail and I guarantee there is no way I was given a letter letting me know this box would expire soon. I would have paid, not a big deal. But instead I was charged a $20 fee. 1 of 2 things happened 1: Human error and the notice was never put in the box 2: Something shady happened I'm curious if this is a common theme in order to get more money? The absolute worst experience with the lady that answers the phones, she had an extremely miserable disposition and was super rude. Aside from the lack of manners and customer service the actual delivery service was horrible. It makes zero sense to not leave a package at my door step on a holiday as most people have that day off. They didn't wait longer than 1 minute for me to answer the door before leaving the "sorry we missed you" notice. Then the information on my notice was incorrect. The notice stated that my package will be at the office for pick up and the woman on the phone said it was out for delivery. Fast and quick, but unfortunately I had experiences with two different staff members who were rude. The questions I asked were met with rude and unhelpful answers.
