Update, on Dec 23, they emailed mailbox holders that they would be closed the same day, Dec 23 until Jan 5 as they undergo a change in Management. So if you had any last minute Xmas gifts ( or any other important mail or packages) that would have arrived Dec 23 or Dec 24, without warning they announced they were closed for two weeks with no way of getting your mail or packages. At least give ppl a couple days notice! Luckily my wife was forgiving and was ok with a gift 3 weeks later. This was very poorly planned out on their part and wasn't near any realm of good customer service. They've lost my trust. read more

Unfortunately, these new owners don't seem to know what is going on or the ins and outs of getting my stuff to the right place for a reasonable price. Lots of confusion, computers not working, high drama and lots of time trying to figure out how to make it work, not very clean and sketchy looking.This is very close to my house so it is unfortunate that I won't be coming here anymore. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. Cashier was lost and didn't know how to do much. She said she was unable to scan the QRcode and told me to email it to her. Took a few minutes to figure out what the email address was. Took another 3 minutes to tape the label on and then she asked me to pay $6.42. I told her it's a free return and she said she was charging me for the label. I said she should have told me since this has not happened at any other location. She tore the label off .... I needed my envelope to get there in three days, with a tracking number, signature arrival verification, for as cheap as possible. Mail Plus got me in and out in less than a minute for $7 bucks. Pros: Convenient location off Southern/McClintock Variety of shipping options Mailboxes available Next door to Back East Bagels Cons: Cash only for less than $5 The only reason for less than 5 stars was that the cashier opened 10 minutes after 9am without much of an explanation or apology for being late. I don't mind waiting a few extra minutes, but the customer service just wasn't THAT great. Otherwise, I like these kinds of Postal stores (Postnet, too) as a great alternative to the Post Office or a brand name shipping outlet (UPS, FedEx, etc). read more

I was just charged $50 for notary services, on top of the $10 I paid for the monthly service. I was told via email that notary services was only $25, but I was charged twice. Not a happy camper. read more

This is my new go-to place if I need to mail out anything (UPS or USPS, no FedEx though) or buy stamps. Although the nearest USPS on Southern is close enough, sometimes there is a bit of a wait, and the nearest UPS Store on Broadway and McClintock provides indifferent service. read more

Tried to send a fax from here and it was unsuccessful. The problem was on the receiving end even though the machine here is fairly outdated. Should it have worked it is cheaper than other places. The employee was fast, friendly and helpful. read more

This place is very convenient to mail letters and/or packages when you're in a hurry. There are no long lines and the rates are inexpensive. They carry stamps, boxes and cute greeting cards, too! Grab a bagel next door! Best bagels in Tempe! There's a Sprouts in the same plaza as well! This is definitely my go-to place to mail anything! Beware of a mail store ran by unprofessional young adults. Ive had many issues with these guys from the beginning. Every time I come in there, they are hanging out in the back room doing who knows what. Im never greeting in a friendly manner. The place looks like the corpse of an old mail store. Here is why the deserve a 1 star review. Ive had a postal box with them for over a year. I pay on a quarterly basis when they put a new bill in my box. Last month I was out of the country and wasnt able to check my mail for a few weeks. When I came in yesterday, I tried opening my box and the key didnt work. I had to holler for someone to come up and help me (they were hiding in the back as usual). The kid asked me my box number and responded: "oh thats the box that my coworker closed up last week". I asked him why it was closed and he said for non-payment. I asked him why I never received a courtesy phone call or other form of notification about the box being closed and he said "I dunno man". When I asked where all my mail was that was received while I was gone he told me "we just threw it in the trash. There was no need to return it to sender because they would have just done the same thing". Not only is this illegal, but why would you throw someone's mail in the trash after they have been a customer for over a year. No courtesy phonecall, no email, nothing. They had multiple ways to contact me but made zero effort and trashed all my mail because of a past due balance by mistake. Im a business owner and have mail sent to my box for multiple businesses. Im filing a report with the US postal inspector for their admission of trashing my mail. Do yourself a favor and use another mail center. These guys should be working in a tattoo shop, not handling peoples personal belongings. read more

With the kind of quick, friendly, and personal service you get at Mail Plus, you'd be a fool to go to the Tempe Post Office. They are open in the shopping plaza on the corner of Southern and McClintock, right next to Back East Bagels, Monday-Friday, 9-6, and Saturday, 10-4. They have shipping boxes and supplies, padded envelopes, stamps, an awesome greeting card selection, fax services and a photocopier. It is run by wonderful people who go out of their way to be helpful (boxing up packages for you) and accommodating (Joe special ordered the new wedding stamps for me last year). They will mail your items in any manner or speed you need, and will happily give you all of your price options. Never again should anyone in Tempe waste precious time in heinous lines just to get grouchy dead-eyed service at the PO like a sucker. read more

We've been coming here since it opened many many years ago. A few years ago it went under management/ownership when the original owner had to sell it. Love that the same quality and service still exist. It was and still is one of those places that makes you feel like Tempe is still a small town. They take time to get to know you and your family. Treat you with respect and care. And the service is always impeccable!! As I am on the road a fair amount with my job, I have used a P.O.Box for years so that mail doesn't accumulate at my residence. However, many companies will not deliver packages to a post office box. So I was in need of a mail box where I could have packages shipped and received. After much research and personal visits, I came upon Mail Plus. Alana helped me set up my account and was a joy. I have since had the opportunity to also get to know August. He is also very friendly and accommodating. In addition to the superb service, the prices are very reasonable. If I were to have any complaint it would be minor - and it is this: Despite my earnest and multiple requests, Jessica Alba has neither been delivered to me nor waiting for me to personally hand me my mail.
