The worst location I have ever been to! Rude non help workers. We drop off 7-8 packages. One of them was FedEx. Instead of rejecting the package or putting a side they took the package in the back and claimed they didn't even notice the FedEx box. They made us wait a very long time just so we get to counter so they can hand us our FedEx package. Really?! How many FedEx packages you have in the back?!! Why would you accept a FedEx package at usps and take it in the back? People with problems should not have the privilege of having a job. Been waiting for over 30 minutes now and no one has showed up to open the store. There has been about 20 different customers waiting. Some drove and others like me have either walked or taken transport. I understand understaffing issues but please change and update your hours online and leave a sign on your door. THE WORST Post office! The energy is bad. I reserved and paid for a new PO Box online and came in today to finish the set up and was told I needed to go home and fill out the paperwork?? This isn't my first rodeo. Just horrible service. At any other location they would give me the forms to sign but since they were about to close they were just being LAZY as hell. I've only visited this post office twice and now on BOTH occasions my packages that were sent first class mail (generally only taking 3/4 days to arrive) took more than two weeks to get to my customer the first time around and I gave them another chance and now the exact same thing is happening. Okay - the customer service at the United States Post Office on Doheny, in BEVERLY HILLS, is SO MISERABLE, it reminds me of the Dave Chappelle skit "Pop Copy." Yesterday morning, the lady at the counter was so RUDE to me I literally picked up my overnight letter and drove somewhere else to mail it. I said "hello" to her when I approached the counter and she didn't speak to me for a full minute before I asked her if there was something wrong. She was booting up her computer and obviously unhappy that I'd approached her after waiting to be acknowledged. She was sarcastic and shitty the whole time I spoke to her, especially when I asked for assistance getting an overnight envelope. She spoke to me as if I was an idiot after going back to the crappy envelope display three times until I found the envelope I need tucked in a lower cubby, where it was hard to find. When I started to give her back some attitude and reminded her that I was gonna pay $22.95 to mail a letter, she became even MORE sarcastic to the point where I was afraid she would trash my mail and that's why I took it to the Fairfax Post Office. I hugely regret renting a PO Box there because I think if the employees there identified me as a complainer, they would sabotage my mail. This is not an exaggeration or made up. Every single time I go in this post office, there's a problem. It's very obvious the people working there hate their jobs and the customers. They are beyond unfriendly and openly sour-faced and shitty with everyone who goes to the counter. Most transactions take more than 5-10 minutes. AWFUL. They should be replaced by machines. Oh, and about six months ago, a manager at Doheny Post Office threw me out of the lobby in the MIDDLE of my automated transaction because my leashed small dog was with me in the lobby - I actually did file a complaint then and I had to go elsewhere to get my stamps that day. THE MANAGER MADE ME CANCEL IN THE MIDDLE OF MY TRANSACTION and leave the building. Again, very rude, very aggressive and completely okay with talking to me as if I was an idiot. Not even an attempt to be civil, really. Such a shame they closed the one on San Vicente - that one was crappy, too, but at least the workers weren't openly aggressive. The woman who is working now, collecting the mail from the drop bin at 6:14 on Tuesday October 9, 2018 is rude and refused to answer any of my questions and lied to me. I caught up with a mail carrier directly across the street who was extremely nice and corrected her saying all the mail that's dropped in that big bin goes out tonight. I get that her job sucks, but it wasn't hard for the mail carrier gentleman across the Street to be honest, acknowledge my existence, and not be so awful. Plus, he answered with a smile. There are other jobs for this woman to be awful to people, like humiliation kink doms or a Russian masseuse. Why must all the postal workers inside the office be complete assholes? I went to this post office in January to mail three packages, and could not believe my experience. After a short wait in line I walked up postal employee "Hope," a large black female. I needed to send one of the items overnight, so I didn't package it because I was not sure if they had an overnight box I could mail it in. Hope immediately started berating me in front of her co-worker and other customers yelling I have to have my package ready to mail when I approached her. I told her I just wanted to check if she had an overnight box, she said NO. I was trying to ask her another questions about a different package I had to mail and she would answer the question. She told me to move because she had other customers in line. I told her that I was a customer who stood in line, and I would like an answer to my questions so I could get everything ready for when I came back. She responded in the rudest manner you could imagine and would not help me. I asked for her supervisor, she said there was no one there and the other postal employee sitting next to her was the "lead." I asked the "Lead" if the tone and attitude that I just got was acceptable policy for the US Post Office? She would not answer and politely asked how she could help me. At this point I felt that if I mailed any of the items there, Hope would ensure they got lost or damaged, so I left and went to a different post office. For the next two weeks I attempted to file a complaint with no success. I called the branch manager, no return call. I called the USPS complaint line several times, no return call. I called the Inspector General, they referred me back to the USPS complaint line even after I told them they had not helped me. Lastly, I wrote a letter to the Inspector General. It's been almost three weeks with no response. I'm so glad my hard earn tax dollars are supporting such a professional organization. The bottom line is the Doheny Branch is a joke. The employees do not care about their jobs, there is no chance of them getting fired, and management is incompetent. My advice to customers, go to a difference branch, maybe they'll close down this branch due to lack of use and Hope will get reassigned to a walking delivery route where she can't be rude to anyone. My advice to HOPE, never quit the Post Office Service. Anywhere else you would be fired on the first day, except maybe the DMV. You would be great there. read more

This location is not the best USPS, and in the past they were very irresponsible leaving my POBOX open because they forgot to fix the key, but at least employees are honest. Last week, Sprint made a mistake sending my Apple Watch without my Unit Number and they keep it saved for me. read more

I've been coming here for almost 2 yrs & have only had great experiences each & every time. The employees are unusually friendly considering EVERY experience I've had in a post office here in LA has been torture. I don't mind long lines & waiting, infact I expect it, but the negative annoyed short tempered service is what kills me. Same with DMV service. I'm nothing but sweet & polite and would expect the same in return. I actually try to push the smiles & jokes to get them to crack but it seems to only annoy them even more. Nothinf but nightmares here. And incorrect info. Do NOT get a po box here. They gave me keys and didnt change my lock for over a month so that i could even use it, then were so rude as to quip that she was goinf to "take her lunch before changing my lock" when it finally got fixed. If there are problems there will be no one to help you. They dont even have a phone at this location as it was disconnected. Also i have been given incorrect information on multiple occasions. WORST post office I've ever been to. The two women that work here should not have jobs. They are rude and incompetent. I needed stamps for my wedding invitations and the lady said "all we have are American flags or flowers" I said "I would like the flowers" she said "why don't you want the American flags?!!! If you don't want to live here go back to where you came from!" Me... shocked... said "I'm actually from here.. not only America, but Los Angeles..." With that she sold me the flower stamps. Then I asked how many do I put on each invitation, she said "go outside and weigh each one yourself" I said "but they are all the same weight" she said "it doesn't matter" then she grabbed one, weighed it on her scale right in front of her and said you need three 1st class stamps on each. I left and went to another post office and she actually was screwing me over with how many stamps I needed on each. It was actually two. RUDE, INCOMPETENT and RACIST. Postal workers are pleasant and efficient. The building space is very dirty. Windows can't be seen through and the floor dirty with visible dust piles on the floor behind the displays. I wonder who is contracted for the cleaning and was told to contact a person at another station but never got through. Parking is convenient so I still go here but please clean it up. read more

I'd leave a zero star yelp review, if it were possible. Most of the employees are very rude and clearly uninterested in doing their job properly. Today takes the cake, however, when the clerk told me she wasnt taking cash and refused to mail my packages. When I asked for an explanation as to why she wouldnt take my cash, even as I had exact change, she told me that I do not need an explanation. I then asked for a manager, finding this behavior very rude, not to mention it was two hours before close, so why would she not be taking cash? She refused me to get a manager, saying that she was a visiting clerk as though that was reason enough that I should not be allowed to speak to a manager. I asked again, but she instead pushed my packages back at me, saying she would help whoever was next. I am so baffled by this behavior and rude attitude from the employee, as I was nothing but nice. She then announced loudly that she was off in ten minutes, when it was only going to be three and not five oclock. I left, aiming to come back when the shift change was, but when I came back they were closed entirely. No signs, no warning, no nothing. I get that the post office is under a lot of financial stress, but this is pretty ridiculous. I don't understand it. With all the people who have been out of work (pre the sit with the coronavirus), why do they get the most unfriendliest, most unhelpful people they can find??? I went in today with a larger but light package, going to a state not far away. I had figured the most 13 dollars. She tells me its 28 because it's oversized and light. I knew it wasn't big enough to get a balloon charge added to it, but I trusted her (dumb) and told her never mind. It would cost me money to send it. I then went home and thought about repackaging it so it would be smaller. I decided to call the Farmer's market post office and check it out. He was such a doll. Over the phone, I gave him the measurements and the weight and he tells me 10.90!!! He double checked twice, yup 10.90. I ran over there, before he closed and he said he'd wait for me (again a total doll). He reconfigured it and again, 10.90. Please be really careful when you go to any post office, esp this one (I rarely go to that one), you could be way overpaying!! Also, any time I do go to the Doheny one, unfriendly and unhelpful. I delivered and handed 4 packages (prepaid online) to a female clerk on Tuesday afternoon... she did not scan them in, but simply said "thank you" - I thought it was odd, but she was friendly (shock), so I went on my merry way... Today I found out that NONE of them were scanned into the USPS system and ALL are missing! Clearly they have a thief at this location. I have filed a claim with the Inspector General and have tried calling this location over 40 times this morning and they do NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE! It is insane that someone stole my mail - AT THE POST OFFICE, but even more insane that they will not answer their phone - to talk to the manager! If they do not "find" my mail, I will be out over $250 - because their insurance will not pay - as they were never scanned into the system... ugh. read more

Truly one of the worst Customer Service experiences I have ever had. I brought in an item with a pre-paid label, so I just needed a small package to put it in. I didn't see any tape for me to put the label on the package, so I walked up to the front counter and nicely asked "Sorry, I didn't see any tape over there. Is there any I can use?" She responds (rudely) "..You didn't bring any tape with you??" I respond "Bring tape with me? No..you guys don't have any here" She proceeds to say "You are responsible for bringing your own tape." I say again (now a little pissed off) and you guys have no tape here? She goes even more rudely "We SELL tape for customers. But since someone left some behind I'll just use this one." Even if that is the case, she didn't have to be rude about it and was totally dismissive. She is also the same woman who others have shared photos of, so clearly this is a trend. Why does everyone who works at the post office act like they hate their job? The employees at this location are always rude. This location is convenient for me so if I absolutely need to go here, is only way I do. I went to top of shipments that were already ready to go, labels on and all. I don't like just leaving them on their desk cause have the time they leave and go in the back which doesn't keep my package secure. So I wait in line to get them scanned with a receipt. I dropped off 5 packages today, all with pre printed labels ready to ship. There wasn't even 1 other person in the store, the young girl with her headphones in, sorry I'm disturbing your music, made me wait, then helped me. As she started to scan, she then tells me that next time she can only scan 2 of my packages???? Cause I guess using a handheld scanner was way to hard of a job??? I actually gave her the easiest job... JUST SCAN AND GIVE ME A RECEIPT. I guess it just part of the job to be rude, useless, and nasty to every person you come in contact with. The customer service here gets a 1 star review. First thing they did was tell me I had to pay for a package that I put my gifts in after decided I didn't want to use it and then tell me I had to put that package into another one and pay for both. I really don't think management wants to come across as hiring staff that bully their customers but I really feel that in this case the emphasis was more on making money than supporting, hearing and understanding the customer. I really felt unheard. The staff that works the closing shift on thursday was hostile, rude; I felt exploited and forced to buy a package I didn't want to. The monetary difference may mean nothing to some, but every dollar counts in this economy. I want to be treated as a customer deserves to be treated, with respect and not hustled into making a transaction. I don't think I'll come here or recommend to peers or acquaintances. They don't deserve to be belittled and treated with hostility either. Management, please train your staff on proper communication & customer service, regardless of what time of day it is. If staff feels it is okay to disrespect the customer, they shouldn't be allowed to work there. This is a competitive economy and there are people who can do the job better and develop a more tolerant, healthy relationship with customers that will keep them coming back. That is healthy business, which is in the long run far more profitable. read more
