This location is in West Hollywood on doheny drive, it is one of the smaller post office locations. It's definitely a great location if you're looking to get in and out earlier in the morning as that is golden hour for visiting this location. If you visit this location at lunch time you will definitely be waiting cuz there's only one person maybe two at the window. Overall there is street parking metered and unmetered

I came here to get an issue resolved with a package delivery to be geotracked. James went above and beyond to help out. His supervisor was also helpful. I would recommend this location. Super nice staff and very clean, and air conditioned branch. Parking is metered on Doheny or side streets that accept cards or coins.

Closed at 3pm on a Monday, waste of time coming here. Doors are locked, nobody inside.

Poor Customer Service!!! I think the USPS should look into this location as their employees here need to be re-trained at their customer service skills. Please read all their negative reviews as they are all true. This isn't my main post office but I have only been at this location a hand full of times and every experience has been terrible. First off, they lost my Ebay package I sent off a few months ago. Recently I had a problem with a package that was sent out and returned. Their supervisor Michael La Bomme is very terrible at his job, and will never answer his phone or emails. As for the employees, Shawnny and the other front girl, maybe you should care less about your nails and more about treating your customers nicely and please loose the attitude. Your in a job dealing with people everyday, maybe you need to think a how a little friendly customer service goes a long way. It is just sad human interaction as we come here to mail stuff out and all we get is attitude. Stay from away from this location, as the service all around is terrible!!! ZERO STARS!

    Closure note.

I wish I could combine two reviews together. Earlier in the day Monday I went to mail a package and card at the Fairfax location (just two blocks from my place). I spent 20 minutes in line hoping that I would get to the front of the line where the ONE employee would help me. After 20 minutes I cut my losses and left. At about 3:45 I went to the location on Doheny in hopes that I would have better luck. Instead, I encountered this small sign and locked doors (inside). Apparently, staffing is an issue here too because this location had to CLOSE for lunch (reopening at 4:00). I tried to use the self service machine but wasn't confident about it so I got back in line. Because I was third in line, I must have told 10 customers that they were closed until 4:00 when they walked in and exclaimed "ARE THEY CLOSED?!" 4:00 came and went and at 4:14 the ONE employee sauntered up to the door and let people in. At this point I was first in line, as the two people in front of me had left. Without an apology or any sort of acknowledgment I was asked how can I help you. After I asked if I could send my envelope first class was given a price for priority mail. When I questioned the price, I was told that it was slightly over the weight limit. This was her only acknowledgment that I wasn't able to send it the way I wanted. I decided that the best thing for everyone concerned was to leave quickly so that the huge line behind me could get their business taken care of. It's no wonder that the post office is in trouble. If this was a store or restaurant it would have closed long ago.

I've gone there many times. They are the best! Helpful, professional & friendly. I don't prefer the other post offices in the area.

Metered Parking on street was packed so I parked around the corner in the public parking lot. I walk in to the post office next to the grocery store and handyman store and the line was looong with only one person helping. I was about to leave and go elsewhere but then I thought to use the self service machine with scale. I went looking and unfortunately this is a very small post office that looks to be going through redecorating and they don't have it. So had to wait in the line but people got frustrated with the wait and left so I was closer. It was about 10-15 minutes to get in and out. The cashier was nice, but I probably will never come back here because of the wait and lack of supplies.

REPEATEDLY CLOSED DURING BUSINESS HRS!! 1 PERSON STAFF FOR POST OFFICE -UNACCEPTABLE!!…read more This is the third time I've come to this location during business hours only to find the gates down. Thursday, I arrived at 3pm -- hours before their posted 5:30pm closing -- and the gates were shut with just a handwritten "will be back" sign, no time given. Within 20 minutes, 11 people were standing outside waiting, some of us for 40+ minutes total. We could hear voices behind the gate the whole time. It seems like there's only one employee running this entire location, which isn't fair to her either -- she has to close the whole place to take a break or use the restroom, since there's no one to cover for her. She's always very pleasant and a joy to work with. But that's a staffing failure, not something customers should have to absorb. While waiting, one woman on the phone with USPS was upset they gave her 30+ yr mailbox away without her knowledge, despite paying for a box. An elderly woman who could barely stand, let alone walk, standing in the sun for 20+ mins, asking for a change-of-address form . Employee standing behind the gate and profusely saying it's closed. Mind boggling. I ended up having to slide a package through a gap in the gate and leave it on the floor since there was no other way to enter to drop off shipment. 3rd world countries have a better mail system. The inside of the location is consistently out of basic supplies -- forms, pens, etc. Three strikes during business hours is not a one-off. Photos and videos available.

This time, we came for passport services for our child & we were WALKING OUT before our actual appointment time. Came in 10-12 minutes before our appointment, we were greeted & walked right into the office. Ms. Ida (pronounced ee- da) was an absolute gem! She is hilarious & efficient. We had all our documents in order beforehand. Both parents have to be present along with the minor. I feel like if you come prepared, you'll be just fine. Expecting other adults to hold your hand through the process & getting frustrated at them for your lack of understanding is unfair. They are very kind & helpful but please understand you are not the only customer there. We paid via debit at the counter & Shiekh was also very pleasant. Overall 12/10 experience!

After driving like I was in Grand Theft Auto, I finally arrived at the post office at 5:57pm and…read moretried my hardest to park the massive minivan my boyfriend rented. As a petite woman who's 5'2", this was a bit of a challenge, and I didn't even pull all the way into the teeny, tiny parking space because I didn't want to scrape the car on my left or the concrete pole on the right that I was wedged between. I raced to the doors right as they were about to lock them and caught my breath. One more guy made it behind me. The line was long and going all the way out into the lobby, and even though there were only 2 postal clerks behind the counter, the line was moving fast. The clerk who helped me was a friendly lady whose name I don't recall. She may have been wearing a name tag, but I forgot to check. She asked for my tracking number and ID, then went back to retrieve my package. She came out a moment later, I signed for it, then bid everyone goodnight and happy holidays. In and out in under 20 minutes! I was surprised at how patient and friendly both clerks appeared to be, considering the long, holiday line. I'm sure it will only get crazier and crazier leading up to Hanukkah and Christmas, so try to get there sooner than later, and give yourself ample time to beat the traffic and navigate their small ass parking lot. Don't be like me - I mean, "someone who isn't me" - driving in the bus lanes and speeding to get there! Happy holidays and happy new year!!
