Both of my kids have been coming here for almost 4 years. We actually came from another studio that had constant change of Masters and there was no stability for the students. Here at US Taekwondo, Master Kim is the owner, his patience with the kids are extraordinary. I wish we had joined this center from the beginning, since both of my kids had to relearn all their techniques. The students that started at this studio has such precise forms. Both of my children are black belts and Master Kim teaches them self defense as well, they enjoy his classes and their goal is to earn 4th degree black belt. Due to this covid time, Master Kim does his best to keep the class sizes small and monitor students. There are hand sanitizer available. We haven't had any problems at the studio. read more

My 9 year old daughter goes here and she is loving it. She's not a big sporty person so I was happy when she kept wanting to go here(Still going ). I can see her progress in all areas and feeling more confident in herself. Master Kim is a great teacher and is patient with the students and seems to really care about them. I like how he will help my daughter do a move/exercise correctly if he notices she is doing something wrong, I like that because I don't want her doing an exercise or form wrong. She has been in dance before but didn't learn the stretching and exercise correctly. She even practices her Tae Kwon Do moves at home !! I like to stay and watch my daughter and there is a few X spots to stay 6ft away from others and you have to wear a mask and take temperatures and sanitize hands so I feel like we are safe here and it is clean during this covid time. Also, in my opinion I feel like the classes are a reasonable price and I was informed with the prices way ahead of time before signing anything. If I have any questions, Master Kim is happy to answer. I'm glad we are coming here and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I recommend this place for sure. Warning: Perhaps you signed up through the city, seems like a good deal for $70. That's fine for a couple months, then you get asked to become a "member" then it's $98 a month. Fine, that's reasonable. Basically you get asked and 'sign here' and it's very rushed. Don't make that mistake, take that piece of paper and read it closely. However, what you don't know is after about 6 months you decide to quit? Master Kim will tell you - you are on the black belt program. I don't know what that means, but it makes sense now. All kids pass their belts. Every 4 months a new belt is tested for. I've seen every kid pass, with or without good form. Basically, you are in it for 3+ years and have to pay regardless if you decide to quit or not. This is after over a year of bringing my child there. I think it's unfair to a kid to force them into something they don't want to do, especially when they are in the 3-6 years old range. Master kim is nice, but his business practice is sketchy at best. KNOW BEFORE YOU GO!!! read more

Master Kim is a great teacher. Yes it costs money and if you have more than one student it can get expensive like any other sports program but I've never been mislead about anything I've signed. Your student will be in good hands here I highly recommend this place. read more

I have great insider information about this studio since I stayed here for many months. Though this Jason Love is not my name, I suppose it's close enough. That said, before really beginning this review - and you learn nothing from this review except this- please note that I sincerely wish for any person interested in Taekwondo to go to another martial arts studio. That said, I will tell you that the instructors and students are some of the nicest people ever. They also know what they are doing. There are also a good number of children here. However, if you want to learn the fighting rather than just the art, I suggest you do not go here as there are not many adults to spar with. However, as for the really bad news. I have insider information of the master of the studio yelling at the other instructors and cursing them in the Korean language. I have seen him give lower than minimum wage ($4 per hour) to some of the younger instructors, even if they had a 2nd degree black belt, i.e. double black belts. That is illegal, but he doesn't care as he is money hungry. He may smile a lot, but I again have that insider news of him mercilessly beat up on the instructors and putting down their, and other non-instructor children's, self esteem. I have even seen him withhold black belt awards from the students for no reason at all for half a year, even if they paid all their dues. I have seen him make the instructors clean his studio and not include that in their paid work time. I know how he constantly threatens to fire the instructors at the smallest mistakes and so it doesn't even give them a good work environment. Though some of this information seems exaggerated, it is not. I ask of you to believe me. If you are to closely befriend some of the Korean instructors and ask them what they think of the master, be ready to hear a lot of abuse. In conclusion, if you want to join a Taekwondo studio, make sure the master is another nationality besides Korean, as many of us higher belts know, they can often be quite questionable. Again, please, !!please!! do not go here. There are many Taekwondo places that are around, just please don't go to this one. Thank you. read more
