I prefer my steak to be more on the savory side, so I didn't really like this dish. The fries were good. *Clam Chowder 4.5/5 - You know how in some clam chowders, the clams are so tiny you can't tell if they're really there or if they're just potato pieces? Well, not these. There are also plenty of rooms where performers or crew can unwind before going on stage. Plenty of spots to set up bars and photo booths. There are also stages if your gig requires it. I've been here a few times. I was first introduced to it through my associations with the NCNW. I went over, saw they had an extensive selection of resources to use for some research I was doing, went back and used the resources, then forgot about it for a while. I came upon it again during a Black History L.A. tour. We then had a talk by some of the very prolific organizers who help manage the Center. It was great! But then I forgot about it again-- --until my Pan-African doctoral support group had an event there. It's been on radar every since. They have Kwanzaa history events there in December, Black film studies there periodically, social news panels there periodically, etc. It really is a great place, but the marketing keeps it off radar.

They determined I was not qualified because I could not prove finances were related to the epidemic. I persisted in trying to prove with different paperwork they requested and still claimed my finances were not caused by the epidemic I was a 56+K salary to 1600.00 a month. i explained this was the only time I was asking for help after serving my country, and yet people that couldn't prove their residency were given priority. They had the audacity to ignore my service. They quoted military service had nothing to do with qualifying. I was outraged. serving the constitution of the country they live in, it did not matter. As soon as BBB3 came across my need, they jumped right on it. Efficiently, rapidly, they took the time to provide me with other services for the future and will continue. They made me feel like family, right at the beginning you could feel it in their attitude. They really care, we are all a family. The bathrooms were clean with plenty of stalls and the backstage area was well maintained. The theater itself has lots of seating and is quite comfortable, however, the seating rows are very long with no breaks, so basically if you're sitting in middle seats, you have to walk past so many people on either side of you to try to get out. This would be a nightmare if there was an emergency or anything.
