I would be very hesitant to recommend this business to anyone. Nick, the person I worked with, is very kind but my issue is with how the whole system and process is done. I feel like he did everything he could have done but I was still left with a fairly stressful situation. I coordinated with USA Auto Transport in May to do a July pickup for my car to bring it from Virginia to Oregon. Price was fair (about $1800) and I was able to select a 3 day window for pick up. We decided on July 5th - July 7th. My plan was to fly out early July 8th or late July 7th depending on pickup time. On paper this was a perfect schedule. July 5th comes and I hadnt heard anything from the driver yet so I called USA Auto Transport and spoke with one of Nick's colleagues who let me know the driver would call me when theyre about an hour away. I thought that was perfect since it gave me time to still to errands while waiting for the driver. In the afternoon of July 6th while Im working with my household goods mover, Nick calls me and lets me know that theyre not able pick up my car anymore. I asked if it was a money issue or a time issue and he said hes unsure why. That's not really something you want to hear less than 48 hours before youre supposed to fly out across country. He tried working with their logistics teams and drivers to see what happened but we never got a clear answer. His initial advice to me was that he recommended I leave my car in Virginia with someone (not really an option since I dont have anyone Im close enough with to watch my car) or find a new company to ship. Again - with less than 48 hours before my cross county move I was told to find a new vendor. Let that sit with you. In fairness to Nick he did try to get me another date to ship my car but I would be long gone from Virginia by then. I ended up having to quickly call half a dozen businesses before they closed for the day to see if someone could ship my car. To say this was stressful is an understatement. In the end I have to pay almost double for another company to ship my car. Their employees are nice but please, save yourself the headache of a last minute cancellation. read more

So I had some bad experiences in the past with other shipping companies and decided to give these guys a try after speaking with their rep (Nick) and getting a very positive feeling in their answers. I was quoted a price and pickup / delivery for having my vehicle picked up in Phoenix, AZ and dropped off in Herndon, VA. I was called the day before the pickup by their office and told the driver would pickup the car in the morning and the driver would call me about an hour before to confirm. Call came in the morning and the driver showed up shortly after, inspected the vehicle, loaded it on the trailer and told me the date it would be in Virginia. I booked my flight and low and behold the driver called me on the morning of the promised delivery date to let me know he would be there in an hour. Vehicle dropped off and we both inspected it To make sure all was good (and also confirmed mileage so I could see it was not driven anywhere in between). I was going down to work for 6 months and shipping the vehicle would have been much cheaper then renting a vehicle or using Uber. Six months later I reached out to them and even though pricing had gone up do to driver shortages / rising gas prices and other factors they told me they would honour the old pricing. Reverse order of all above and my car was back safe and sound on the day promised. Such good communication both from Nick the rep and their office and also from the driver and all the stress was taken off my shoulders using them. Other companies will fool you by quoting lower and then charging you more after or the driver will simply not show up at all. Save yourself both heartache and headache and use these guys. My experience is a 100% 5 Star recommendation. I needed to transport a car from Washington DC to Los Angeles. I trusted friend referred me to a different company that they had used so I initially signed up w/ them. After my acceptance of their quote they went radio silent for 6 days. When they did respond (via email) they said they went on vacation & could'nt offer up a pick up date. Needless to say, I immediately started my search again by researching over a dozen companies and reading reviews. I realized that hiring one was defiantly a leap of faith. After communications w/ many I chose USA as their web site states they have a branch in near DC . While I was expecting a pick up date of 7 to 14 days out, they mentioned that they can pick up the car the next day. Obviously I was hesitant after reading all the horrible reviews from other companies but I rolled the dice. At 7:00 am the next morning the truck was there and waiting for me. I signed the bill of laden and videoed , inside and out , my brand new car. The car arrived in LA within a weeks time , a bit earlier than expected. As I was out of town, USA's dispatch team gave me the following two options: 1) They could hold the car at their lot and schedule a delivery sometime after I got back or 2) I can drive to their lot ( approx a 1 hour drive) . Nick and his team were very communicative and prompt to return my emails or calls. This was the first time I ever shipped a car and was doing it from Eugene Oregon to Chantilly Va, so it was a complete cross-country shipment. My car was also a brand new AMG that I bought at a dealership site unseen. Needless to say, I was a nervous wreck. I was afraid my car would get damaged in shipping, and even though the drivers have insurance, it meant nothing to me because this AMG is the last of its kind since Mercedes is changing their C-class lineup. I must have emailed a dozen times, called as well, and Nick and his team were so kind and understanding. Most of all, the price for their enclosed shipping was more than reasonable that it seemed too good to be true, especially since I would read online to not go too cheap or you run the risk of dishonest brokers and drivers. I find this VERY misleading! You advertise as Baltimore Auto Shipping and lead me to believe you are out of Hyattsville, Md. but you are ACTUALLY USA Auto Transport in California!! There are MULTIPLE phone numbers and 2 USDOT numbers - neither of which work!! I received a call from someone who I could barely understand who told me I was calling Los Angeles, CA! Besides that, you are twice as much as everyone else. Unless you are going to gold plate my 2003 mini van and carry it on your back, I don't see how you are worth it! read more

Although their rep was very nice and seemed to be helpful at first, they booked an unreliable company to actually ship the car. When i checked into the company they have a D rating by the Better Business Bureau. They scratched up and damaged our starter and navigation system, both of which were working perfectly when they took the car, and stole 3 of the tire pressure gauges off the car! When we tried to talk to the driver right after he dropped the car off, he denied all responsibility and took off right away. Now we have to deal with their insurance company and try to get reimbursed for all of this damage and theft. read more

I had a wonderful experience with this company. There was a bit of confusion in the beginning on who I should speak to directly, but it was pretty clear they worked as a team. I made arrangements for my car to be picked up in Maryland on May 19th and met the driver in a mall parking lot. He kept me updated via text prior to meeting, so we had a seamless transition. I shipped my sedan with this company from the east coast to the west coast. This was my first time shipping a car so I don't have much reference. There were a couple hiccups, but overall I think the service and the company is very good. The initial call to schedule the shipment went smoothly, they sent me the paperwork right away. They gave me a 3-day window for when they would pick it up. When the time came they called and let me know what day they would pick it up. Dispatch gave me a time frame 12pm-4pm and they gave me the driver's phone number. The driver did not make it until around 9pm. They could not pick up the car on my street because the truck was so large so I brought it out to them on another street. When they came they took note of any marks on the car, even the tiniest mark. They put the car on the truck and they delivered it about 5-6 days later. They could not deliver to my new address because the streets are too small so I had them deliver it to a friend's home. The driver called regularly to update me on the time when he would arrive. I really appreciated that. The car was in perfect condition and I was happy. My advice for smooth shipping: 1. Have a plan A and B for shipping addresses. The trucks are large and need room to maneuver. 2. The drivers often do not know exactly when they will pick up or drop off the car so, you need some flexibility on that too. For instance, they told me pick will be between by 4, but they did not arrive until 9 pm. Overall, I thought the driver, the customer service agents and the service were very good. They charged me about what other companies charged for shipping a regular sized vehicle. Shipping time was reasonable, didn't take long at all for delivery. Truly impressed with the dependability . I shipped from Maryland to California . Pick up time was set for 5 pm - driver was there about 5:15 . I was told 7-10 days for arrival but I got it in five days( one truck takes all the cars to a central location in California and then smaller trucks take the cars to their respective destinations which is smart and faster).
