Level Up offers a quality traditional Korean taekwondo program and a true sense of camaraderie amongst parents, students and siblings, making it a true family sport. They also offer more a more specialized poomsae program than most other schools. We parents spend countless hours at the studio. All of these details have been well though out. The studio has wireless so you can get some work done. They also have a coffee and tea bar and a sibling area stocked with toys, books and computers. And that's the only uniform you need. You don't need to buy any additional equipment, and there aren't various marketing strategies employed against you. This is not a training center that promotes you every promotion. I'm sorry to say, but my son's class was supposed to test for belt promotion and they were denied because many students didn't show up in the correct uniform. The students must wait until their sensei schedules another testing opportunity. They have a smoothie bar inside, i haven't tried it yet. My son enjoys their training program very much. I enjoy their friendliness and lack of continued marketing tactics. The price is reasonable.

The front desk workers were friendly. They asked me to sign in everytime I go in. The teacher was a nice man. He made jokes throughout the class. We learned a bit of self defense as well as cardio. It was not what I expected, I thought each student will be working with a kickboxing stand but we were paired up with another student. We helped each other with moves and stretches. This was my first kickboxing class so I wasn't sure what to expect. Since it's in a karate studio, he seemed to implement a lot of self defense in his classes. I had a good sweat after each class but I felt like I needed more since I'm trying to lose weight. There are a lot of kids that take karate there. As for Kickboxing, there are about 6 women in the class which makes it small and intimate.
