I scheduled a treatment here after a consultation two months ago. I showed up for my treatment appointment today only to be told that my provider was no longer employed by the clinic and no one else could do my treatment. This was in spite of the fact that I called last week to confirm my appointment; no one bothered to check or inform me that showing up would be an absolute waste of my time. I then tried to reschedule with another location in DC but they refused to honor the price I had agreed to pay for the original treatment. This review is specifically for the new management (USA VEIN) who has taken over this clinic in the past month. Since taking over, things have been a mess at this clinic. This review does not reflect the amazing and professional service both Dr. Sonde, and Katie have given, but the lack of communication from new management. Once new management took over, and electronically held all of our medical records, upon my appointment with the new management, it took over one hour for me to get checked in. Unfortunately, front desk, staff could have helped speed up the process and given me the correct number to help expedite this within 30 seconds, rather than waiting over an hour for someone to make the check in process easier. I am now in my second phase of my vein treatments, but I have now been rescheduled two times due to unexpected office closures, and or staffing issues. I am not sure what to think of the new management, but when asked why I am not being communicated about office closures, they say they are just "guessing" that they just didn't get a hold of me. I am not thrilled with the new management company for this clinic, so I would advise waiting until they get it together. read more

disgusting service! I will never come here again! The first time I was two years ago and everything was very clear and nice! but this time! I called to office in McLean to made an appointment month or two before for me and my husband. Then, in a week before, they started calling me again and again and again about that at the McLean office on this day there would not be the doctor. And on another day we cannot come, because of traveling. So we have to go to another office. but the appointment was transferred only for me, not for my husband. why? the doctor will not be in McLean! How you can change one and not change the same another ???? when I made an appointment I told, that I am pregnant, I was told ok it doesn't matter! and on the day of the appointment, the receptionist told it's ok, when is your due? So everybody know that I am expecting mum! But the doctor in the exam room told me, we will not do anything now, come after childbirth and charge me $ 77 for what? for measuring my pressure? no vein check no ANYTHING has been done! and for this billed! I'm just shocked! If somebody told me that they will not do anything because of pregnancy, I will not spend 2 hours and my nerves for this! I will just do what I did before and care about my veins! So I have to pay 77$ for NOTHING! This is a ridiculous! Do not contact this clinic! I'll never come back here! read more

Had an appointment back in September with Dr. Sonde. The office consultation was fine, the staff was friendly. This was until a month later when i received an additional bill that i was not informed about. Since they do not take most insurances, i had to deal with the out of network rates. I am so glad i went to see another doctor for a consultation, if they had performed the suggested operation, they would of really messed up my legs, and made them worse. Dr. Sonde and staff is more concerned about meeting quota's instead of providing the right care. The staff wanted to schedule the appointments as soon as possible, without proper understanding of the body. Bottom line: go to a proper cardiologist and not these clinics. I had a doctor elsewhere say if they have done these, there would of been lots of complications since they didn't check the full legs, and do a proper scan. It is impossible to get to this office via phone, its all done through a corporate office. read more

On February 14, 2017 I had an appointment at the Vein Clinics of America to have a consultation to treat my diagnosed venous insufficiency on both of my legs. The office is clean and the staff is friendly and welcoming, that was my first impression. In a consultation with Dr Mehru Master Sonde, the physician explained to me the treatment with a sonography guided laser in an easy to understand way. Dr Sonde performed state-of-art treatment each time I was scheduled and was always very focused. Lena, at the front desk handed me a treatment plan with appointment dates and out of pocket cost on day one. Now, 10 visits later I am done. My legs look terrific. I never lost any time at work. I recommend this practice to anyone for a professional pleasant experience and to look forward to wearing a pretty summer dress again. read more

I can' comment on the treatment results because my free consultation was so bizarre and inept, I'd be a fool to ignore the red flags and proceed. After I made the appointment, I downloaded and completed the four multi-page forms they directed me to. Then they emailed me. Then they called me. Then they emailed and called and emailed and called, again and again, either to remind me of my appointment or to tell me not to forget to complete the forms. They also asked me to arrive 15 minutes early, which I did, where they asked me to complete more forms, mostly absolving them of any privacy and legal responsibilities and promising the moon if I didn't pay up. Then I waited and waited and waited to be seen. Then an assistant brought me into the exam room and took some photos of my legs and said the doctor would be right in. But she wasn't. Instead, I waited probably another 10 minutes. The doc herself seemed ok, but she proposed treatment that would NOT be covered by insurance and told me it would be done not by her, but by a nurse practitioner. Then a couple days later, they called to see why I didn't show up for the appointment I just described above. If they're that inept at paperwork and record-keeping, what must their actual treatment be like? I'd be afraid they'd do the wrong body part. Or inject the wrong fluid. Or just make me look and feel worse. read more

I highly recommend Vein Clinics. All treatments are preceded by an ultrasound and vein mapping (where the diseased veins are noted on the chart) so that Dr. Sonde knows exactly which veins need to be treated. She starts with the larger veins then works over time to get to the smaller spider veins. I have had treatment before from a doctor in Bethesda who did not use ultrasound and just treated the veins that were visible from the outside. I wasted several years getting treatment this way because the larger veins were not closed first. read more
