Her assistant, Violetta said she was on vacation, and that they had the hospital info; she said she would call me back tomorrow as soon as she spoke with the Dr. covering for Dr. Hoffman. The next day June 2, Violetta called me, said she spoke with Dr. Hoffman, who was in. Assistant advised me that Dr. Hoffman said she would see me on next appointment, June 22, and that if I had more stomach problems to go to the ER, she was not going to address the stomach problem. I explained to the assistant that I could not use the ER as my GP, and that ER visits were expensive; I would be seeking another GP. I am so very disappointed after researching my symptoms, "Other conditions are more serious, and your provider may recommend treatment. It depends on the cause. Apparently CLEVELAND CLINIC does not want to address complaint issues; the first person I spoke with, Brianna, hung up on me. I called back and spoke with a hostile Janine, who said she would have an ombudsman call me back. It is my opinion that DR. A. Hoffman and CLEVELAND CLINIC accepts Medicare and insurance but does not want to do what is necessary for their patients. I had another severe stomach pain attack on June 24. I spoke to a very nice person on the phone who easily made me a 4 PM appointment for the very same day at the Rayus facility nearby on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard! She instructed me to be there about 3:30, and assured me that it was an easy test, and that I would most likely I be out by 4:15. I arrived at 3:30, and a very cordial and capable woman at the front desk assisted me with my check-in. I was called back at about 4:05 by the technician. He was also very friendly and reassuring. And I was indeed out by 415! Perhaps best of all, the results were at my doctors before the end of the day I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

The phone process of scheduling an appointment is the worst of any company I have ever experienced. The call center is hopelessly backed up with waits of greater than 10 minutes being the norm. The hold messages gives no indication of how long the wait is expected to be and for more than the past year has been playing a message that blames the delays on the transition to a new medical records system. Management should ALL be terminated for gross incompetence.
