Terrible project manager…read more We had Claudiney replace our deck, fence and basement windows in 2023. The deck and fence came out okay but we had a really hard time with Claudiney. First, he wasn't clear on what is required for permits. We had to find land surveyor ourselves and spend ~$2300 outside of the quote for land survey and architect drawing. During the project, he doesn't communicate well and he seems to get annoyed when we reach out to him. He didn't give us any heads-up about final walkthrough and when he needs to collect his final check. We had to take a Uber to get home just to meet his schedule. Last but not least, their workers damaged our foundation. We have asked him to fix this for 1 month. He said he is going to fix it but he never comes. Yes, he will lie to you! Overall, Claudiney is a terrible manager. Stay away from him!

I'm not a cabinet maker or a finish carpenter, nor do I pretend to be, but they'll treat you great, and give you advice just the same over there. You only need to visit once to understand that it's the people that work there that bring you back, not just the wood. I was looking for a piece of 1/8" plexi for a project and stopped in at the glass shop down the street from my house and almost went into heart failure at the price they wanted to charge me ($20/sq ft!) After recovering, I went home and poked around on the web until I found Altec's site. I was initially put-off by their flash website, I hate flash websites, but decided to stop in and check them out. They have a production shop on the ground floor that is closed off and the office is on the 2nd floor. I went up and talked to one of the guys in the office and the price he quoted me was 1/8th what my local glass shop wanted and cheaper than the mail order retailers I checked with. The price was so good, I ordered two pieces so I would have a spare. I didn't need the plexi immediately so I told them I'd be back Monday to pick up the order and walked out a happy customer. I'll definitely check them first the next time I need something for a project.
