BUREAUCRATIC NIGHTMARE. IMPOSSIBLE TO FILE, IMPOSSIBLE TO REACH, ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY. The Contact Center is unreachable. Emma chatbot is useless. The phone system is a maze designed to prevent human contact. No email support. No accountability. I attempted to file my visa online as USCIS encourages. Their system requires an "Online Access Code" that was never provided to me. I submitted a service request asking for the code. USCIS response: "We are not able to provide the information you have requested. It is not clear that you are the applicant." I AM THE APPLICANT, The beneficiary. MY immigration case. MY visa. MY legal status. I submitted proof of being the applicant along with passport and details. And USCIS tells me they cannot confirm I have "any action pending" - while I'm holding their own notice with my name on it. Their response literally says "This mailbox is not monitored for incoming messages. Please do not reply." So I cannot file online because they never sent me access codes. I cannot get help because they claim they cannot verify I am myself. I cannot reply to their message. And when I mailed my response via FedEx, their building was marked "closed" by the carrier even though federal offices operate normal business hours. USCIS collects $2,840 in fees (filing + fraud prevention + premium processing) then makes it impossible to actually complete filings. They create bureaucratic obstacles at every step, provide no support when issues arise, and hide behind Privacy Act excuses when you try to resolve problems with YOUR OWN CASE. This agency serves no one. They collect fees, create obstacles, and blame applicants for systemic failures. read more

I was at this location earlier this week and I'm giving two stars instead of just one because this office was relatively efficient, however, the staff is incredibly rude and hostile towards immigrants. Even before we entered the office, the security guard started yelling at a Chinese man in front of me for not saying "Good Morning" or "How are you?" or "Hello" to him when he walked through the doors. He then got frustrated with the man for having English as a second language and criticized him for having his phone out even though he was using it as a translation device (and again- we were outside the office lining up at this point so he had no right to be mad at phone use off the premises). Once he took out all his rage on the man, he moved on to me, got frustrated that I didn't unfold my appointment notice fast enough for him, and let people who got there after me move ahead because of this even though I had all the necessary paperwork in my hand. The man behind the reception desk was polite enough and gracious, however, the woman who took my fingerprints literally yelled at me for "placing my fingers too high" on the finger reader (while moving my hands in an unnecessarily aggressive manner) and with the way she raised her voice to me, you would have thought I was a belligerent drunk knocking things over and not someone silently and fearfully awaiting instruction from someone who clearly hates immigrants. Someone tell these people that Trump got voted out and these xenophobic attitudes no longer have a place in polite society. And if they can't accept that, then they are in dire need of sensitivity training and/or anger management. Absolutely disgraceful in their conduct towards human beings. read more

If I had to give them -1* I would gladly do so. It's not all bad, but the way I have been treated by the security officer, allegedly named Manuel, is something I want everyone to be aware of. I haven't felt offended "per se" as it take a lot more than an educated rude person to ruin my day, but this type of behavior is something everyone should be aware. This is the type of behavior that makes us, simple citizens, wonder where our tax money go. These are individuals that work for the public and in the public space. I was in line like everyone else and once I reached the door, the security guard addressed me in these exact words " Your phone". I replied" what about my phone". He said " I want see" ( I won't even go over the spoken English or the vocabulary used, ironically, a public institution dealing with immigration related issues). I figured he wanted to see my phone. I really thought his request is absolutely inappropriate, but went ahead and pulled the phone out of my pocket. The next thing he said was " It's not off". I replied, "no, it isn't off but it's on do not disturb. I can turn it off, Sir." The next thing he shouted, pointing with his finger was " Put it in your car!" I am standing in the door, looking around as he was talking to some common thief. I was in shock and didn't quite know if this is really happening, or it's my imagination. To make the matter worse, he then proceeded to tap on the paper I had in hand and tell me I haven't read the instructions. I was standing there and didn't know what to say as I couldn't recover from the disrespect I was being treated with. I would like to take this opportunity and share with everyone working at this branch that I have read and acknowledged all the instructions listed on the document. With that being said, for those who don't understand nuances in English, of which this governmental agency branch seems to have hired a few of, "No cell phones, cameras or other recording devices permitted" means that one shouldn't be using any device with video/audio recording capability; by no means, having a cellphone on you is strictly forbbiden when entering a governmental agency. On a different note, it is completely out of line to tell someone what to do with a personal item, leave alone "put it in car". What if I took the bus and had no car, would have they denied my visit just because I was carrying a cellphone on me? read more

Uscis website said asc offices were open on Martin Luther King's day so I called their customer service number and machine answered. I couldn't figure out if they were open so I went and they were closed. So for other people's convenience I am posting their business hours on yelp. Hope this saves someone's time. read more

I arrived 30 mins early as I had a flight to head off to afterwards and needed to be on time. The security guard was polite and asked me to leave my luggage in the corner of the reception area where he would keep an eye on it for me. I was seen straight away despite being early. Everyone was very friendly and polite. It took no more than 15 minutes to be seen and finished. Having read the other reviews I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I found the people at USCIS to be professional and helpful. read more

This office was wonderful. Everyone who worked there was excellent to us. The security guards were all very polite and knowledgeable. They did their job with pride. The administration employees were very polite as well. We got there early and the line moved very fast. Office is big and peaceful. I highly recommend going there if you have to. read more

The employees here at USCIS are extremely unprofessional. They are also rude to people going there. The guards are even worse. I was trying to help my mom with her application, and they wouldn't let help my mom instead they gave me a lot attitude to me all because I was trying to help my mom. I also noticed that they didn't just me lots of attitude but everyone there too. I was given a feedback note for them. I asked to borrow a pen because I wanted to give feedback so that way they could hopefully learn from my feedback and improve. In the beginning of the process I was treated poorly and I think they can work on that. before I could even write anything the people there yanked the paper away from me before I could even write my feedback. Very rude employees except a little, they just exactly like the ones who works in DMVs. They dealing with people unprofessionally and with rudeness. Unhappy employees who just like they were forced to worK in a place that they hate. USCIS and DMV are the first places immigrants need to establish their documents in the State and yet they suppose to have a good experience but unfortunately they don't. I hate the day I go to finish any documents. Supervisor and managers need to do something about it by educating their employees to be compassionate, professional and for all SMILE. They don't deserve not even one star. It's like during the hiring the process they said "we're looking for people with the worst attitude to work here". I went here for fingerprint and the entrance security is rude, the lady that takes the first form( even after repeatedly saying salutations to her, not once did she address me like she's there to provide customer service)is rude and guy that does fingerprint is rude. Only the security while leaving said the nicest thing and that was have a good day ( I don't know his name). The staff that worked on 4/8/2019 around 1:30pm apart the security at the exit (I hope he gets out of that job and find a better place to work and not with these terrible staff) were all terrible human beings. RUDE！！I have received rude or unprofessional treatment by an officer this morning 8:30-9:30am. 12/19/18.Every staff was friendly and helpful until I got in the small room for fingerprint. The officer，that lady was yelled at me because I put my coat on the chair. I saw other people who were into other room do so with no problem. So disgusting！She yelled at me twice."Put it over here！there not your own space！" "Do you speak English！"She was very rude and unkind for the whole process. I read the terrible reviews so I was ready to be offended. You know what? It's actually pretty good as long as you follow their simple rules. - Biometrics were quick. I arrived at 10.15am for my 11am appointment and was out by 11.08am - You can take bags/backpacks and there was no check or metal detector - All of the people were perfectly polite. This is not the Four Seasons but everyone said Hello/Thank you/Sir - There is the opportunity to leave feedback at the end Here's where people (frankly stupid people) get themselves into trouble. There are signs everywhere saying "No cellphone usage". Like everywhere. It could not be clearer. Yet a small percentage of dimwitted people are capable of passing 5 different signs saying no cellphone usage...in fact they can be sitting under a huge sign saying "No Cellphone Usage" and guess what? They're sitting there using their cellphone. And this is not a language issue. All the people I saw being reprimanded were english speakers. Frankly people like this deserve every bit of bad service they receive in life. read more

This place is disgusting with rude manager. He was overly disgusting. There shouldn't be hiring people who are nasty to people who have appointments for immigration. It's hard enough these people come in and be scared ; and to have rude nasty manager speak to them, or when ask a question walks away "monopolizing his time" quote on quote the manager stated to the young lady that had a little baby trying to ask a question. The security guards and the people work at the reception room are extremely rude. They constantly yell at the applicants who can barely speak English while denied the help offered from interpreters they bought with them, and mandated the interpreters to be separated to the application and sit in other side of the room away from applicants. The interpreters were only allow to watching the group of applicants kept getting yelled at while prohibited from providing help to translate for them. The scene I witnessed this morning 03/07/2019 9am-10:30am at USCIS office located at 1260-1278 60th st. I give 1 star because of the security guard I visited 12/18/20 around 10:30 he was tall African American I guess his attitude was like he own the place ! My thought was wherever you go you should be treat nice! He was nice to his people but he got bad behavior with other country people ! I went with my father today in order to get his fingerprints done. The security at front was very friendly and after we filled out the questionnaire, we had to get a number and sit in the waiting area. There were a lot of other people, but things went very quickly. My issue was one of the gentlemen working there (black, shaved, directing people in the waiting room) was extremely rude to everyone. There was a huge sign that said "Sit in the red chairs only if your number gets called." So, since our number wasn't called, we sat in the gray chairs. Then, from across the room, the man starts yelling at my dad to go to the red chair and said "Why did you sit there?? What is wrong with you?" I wasn't expecting the service to be any better than at the DMV, but this man's attitude was uncalled for. One couple in particular (two Chinese elderly people) got the worst of it. The man spoke to them as if they were dumb, "Who are these papers for? Hello?? Hello??" I understand that most people that walk in there don't speak English, but to belittle them? Then one of the women processing the fingerprints yells "next!" But the Chinese couple didn't understand what that meant, and the woman started laughing and saying pretty racist things under her breath. Another guy came by and motioned for them to come into the booth, but one of the women told him to make them sit down "until they spoke proper English." It only took my dad a few minutes to get his stuff processed, but I left disgusted at how terrible the personnel were here. I had been to the Immigration office in Manhattan before (to get my mom's fingerprints) and the staff there were extremely nice. However, the employees in this location need to be retrained on their positions. read more

Had the worst experience here ...had gone for my biometric for gc renewal and there was this particular black bald man( the manager)...he was so extremely rude, loud and unprofessional.. and he constantly went out to gossip leaving us there waiting forever..his attitude just upset me so much,,,I hope I never have to see his face again. This was a miserable experience. Had to come here for my fingerprints for my green card application. My original appointment was for a date I was traveling internationally and only after begging to be let in did they give me an appointment day of. I had previously tried the day before and after traveling 45 mins to this location in far south Brooklyn they said they weren't taking walk ins so I was lucky that the security guard let me in second try. Waited for 1.5 hours before having my fingerprints done by a super rude lady who acted as though I was the last person on earth she wanted to deal with. She didn't so much as say hello and instead yelled at me for putting my bag down in the corner of her booth before asking if I was allowed to. The whole green card process is awful and the people you deal with don't help. The less interaction you have to have the better. read more
