My experience with Blakely Chevrolet GMC in Blakely, Georgia, regarding a used import auto in Roswell, Georgia, has been incredibly disappointing. Just 10 days after purchasing a 2016 GMC Yukon, the transmission broke down, leaving me stranded. It took significant effort to convince them to sell me a warranty for $1200, and even then, they kept the car for over a month without providing any warranty paperwork for the transmission. Dealing with Keyan, the foreman, was an absolute nightmare. Getting him to address any issues with the vehicle felt like an act of Congress. In addition to the transmission failure, the car had a thermostat issue, needed new shocks in the back, and suffered from a massive motor issue. Despite the dealership having the truck for another month, they failed to provide any information about these problems, leaving me in the dark about the state of my vehicle. Until now he just ghost me every time I text or call him. His managers have done nothing about it. Having invested nearly $30,000 in this truck, I'm deeply concerned about its reliability and longevity. To make matters worse, the car I traded ended up in impound because the previous owner failed to transfer the title properly. And I guess the person they sold it to who worked there got arrested. Based on my experience, I strongly advise others to avoid this dealership at all costs to prevent similar frustrations and financial losses. I demand my warranty paperwork for my transmission and a refund for the warranty that they sold me that's no longer active. UPDATE I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Used Imports Auto in Roswell, GA. I bought a vehicle from them, and just eight days later the transmission failed. I was told they had installed a "new" transmission with a five-year warranty, but I had to pay an extra $650 in cash for that warranty after the sale. Fast forward two years--and the transmission has now completely failed again. When I reached out for help, they told me the company that supplied the transmission had "gone out of business." That's all they would say. They refused to give me the name of the warranty provider, any documentation, or any assistance whatsoever. Since then, I've been completely ghosted. I'm now stuck facing a $6,000+ transmission repair that should be fully covered by the warranty I paid for. This is not how reputable dealerships treat their customers. I noticed that apparently someone had tried to fix it by tying it on with string! The string had broken when I adjusted it. That mirror cast $1300 and is a dealer item. I called Used Imports and asked to speak to the manager. S/he was unavailable and I spoke to other employees. The woman asked, "What do you want us to do; you're in California?" We have been looking for a car for my daughter. I would give the sales associate, Parish Jordan, a 4 or 5 star review, because he was very professional and accommodating. He did not apply a lot of pressure, and he took the time to answer all of our questions. I'm giving the dealership a 3 star review because of the quality of their automobiles. If you are considering purchasing a car from this dealership, you definitely need to pay to have a mechanic check out the car first. When I drove one of their cars, I could hear a noise every time we drove over a bump in the road. When I opened the trunk, it was virtually impossible to get the trunk to close properly without extreme effort. After having Nalley Toyota of Roswell check out the car, I found out that it needed new struts in the front. I also found out that the car had been in an accident. Waited hours to get all the financing worked out, which is normal. We were told they had 2 new tires for the truck that they would go ahead & put on. We tried to refuse the tires in exchange for an adjustment on the price of the vehicle. We were told that this wasn't an option because they already had the tires, even tho we didn't even want the tires & needed to replace them all with a completely different type of tire. But they insisted on at least putting them on so it would ride better. They then, instead of getting it done while we were getting the financing & paperwork worked out, WAITED UNTIL WE WERE DONE with EVERYTHING else to take the truck somewhere down the road to get the tires put on. They said it was 5 minutes down the road & wouldn't take long at all. We waited over 2 HOURS for them to put the tires on. We ended up having to drive to try to find the tire place because the guy who took the truck wouldn't answer the phone for anyone in the office. Only to find out that the shop couldn't even put those tires on. So we waited OVER 2 HOURS for NOTHING. Then once we got back to the dealership, we had to wait another almost 30 minutes for them to print the temp tag off bc for some reason they didn't think to do that while we waited for the first several hours. Initially we were gonna come back to replace our other vehicle. Now, after all the bullshit we WON'T come back. Waited over a month to post because one of the agreements in our contract was that the dealership would fix the big crack in the windshield. We have called the manager & the salesman we worked with, Reuben, numerous times and have gotten nowhere. They were also supposed to replace a tire that was the wrong size. Stay away! I purchased a vehicle 6/24/2023. While DRIVING HOME, all indicator lights on the dash including the check engine light came on. I called and left a voicemail that afternoon with NO RESPONSE! I took the car to a local repair shop on Monday 6/26 and called the dealer multiple times and they advised they would be calling the owner and get back to me. NO RESPONSE! I took the car back to a local shop on 7/3 and to a shop that specializes in transmissions on 7/10. I was told the vehicle will need a NEW TRANSMISSION! as the incorrect transmission fluid and traces of metal were in the transmission as well as the transmission was slipping. The cost of this repair is over $7000 I called the dealer again 7/10/2023 to advise of the situation and was told I could purchase the warranty but could not have it repaired at any of the locations I have already taken it to. Red flag! When I asked for other options I was also told the owner was "out of the country" and was referred to another warranty company. Red flag! I bought a white 2012 Lexus from Used Auto Import in June 2017. Later that year(2017) I noticed that the right front of the car was popping out of place and the grill of the car would not stay up. Since, it was used, I thought I had no recourse and I just had to deal with. Then, the next year in 2018, paint started peeling off the car! It looks horrible. I took it to about 3 body shops and they said that the car was repainted and they did not strip the car like they should and painted over the damage. The paint is chipping every where. The hood, the roof the trunk, and it looks really bad. The car was only five years old when I bought it and should not be happening to a luxury car. Also, the car's front end was replaced and you can see the front end damage behind the grill. It is not good. Also, when I bought the car they gave me a false Carfax report. On the Carfax they provided it shows there was no damage to the car. But, when I bought the report myself, it shows there was in fact damage to the car which coincides with the information that the body shops shared with me. FOX 5 Atlanta did a report on this dealer in 2017 regarding fake Carfax reports and proved that they were altering their reports. I always thought it was weird when dealerships used words like "integrity" and "honesty" in their ads, but now it makes sense - to differentiate themselves from places like this! Short version: We had a verbal agreement on a vehicle over the phone, then never heard back from the sales guy on delivery options. I texted first thing the next day and found out they had sold the vehicle to someone else for "full price" AFTER me. Long version: My wife and I drove in from out-of-town to look a vehicle they had just listed. When we arrived, the sales guy told us the check engine light was on, which he hadn't known about when we spoke on the phone the day before. Fine, I can understand that. They would have it fixed later that day. We ended up really liking the vehicle, but couldn't come to an agreement on the price, so we headed back home for the day. The sales guy called us a few hours later with a "we'll meet you halfway" price, which we ended up agreeing to over the phone. He then said he'd take the vehicle out for a test drive to make sure the check engine light was fixed - which it was. Being from out-of-town, however, we couldn't just drive back over to finalize the paperwork, so I asked what our options were: come back the next day, have it delivered, etc. The sales guy said he'd call me back with information about their delivery options, which ended up being the last time I heard from him. I came to look at a '15 Lexus IS 250 F Sport. The sales person who greeted us was personable and easy to work with. We discovered some light hail damage that was not disclosed on the listing and the sales person even agreed that this was true. To be fair their pictures of the car were in rain/wet conditions so its a little hard to see. This was not a deal killer. It came down to price and I was assured that the sales guy needs to talk to the owner to finalize price and would call me next day. While the car they sold me was great and still works well 2 years later, they charged me a dealer fee (which is supposed to be illegal in Georgia if it's not included in the advertised price) and seem to have also overcharged me $269 in sales tax and state fees. (The bill of sale shows one tax amount, but the registration I got from the state showed a lower tax amount.) I filed a complaint with the Georgia Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and last month (about 2 years after I bought the car), I got a check from the dealer refunding the dealer fee, but with little other explanation. I haven't heard anything about the discrepancy in taxes/state fees. In summary, the car was good (at least for me), but their business tactics are shady or even illegal. Worst experience ever. I usually wait very long before I form an opinion of someone or business, and after 2 months, I am in the same boat. I was lied to about the vehicle being delivered. I have had the vehicle for over 60 days and still have not received permanent plate and tags. It is a 2014 vehicle purchased with under 50,000 miles. When I received the vehicle the turn signals did not function properly. This dealership told me to wait until I get the permanent tags and title and claim it under the third party warranty I purchased. I can not even take it to the dealership to get fixed because I still have not received tags and plate to be able to claim using the warranty. Also, I explained to them that the cars smokes and smells like burning oil. They claim there is nothing they can do. Now the vehicle shuts off while idle. This is has been the worst experience of my life. When you purchase a vehicle and have issue right away, the dealership should help resolve the issue. Used Imports has a great selection of reasonably-priced mid-range luxury vehicles, mostly in solid condition. The process was relatively painless. The finance manager was kind of a d*** but I think they learn that in Car Dealership Finance Manager school, most of them are the ones that play "bad cop". I didn't take it personally and it didn't blow the deal. 12K miles later, my car is still in good shape, passing maintenance checks with flying colors, and with only an inexpensive battery replacement for non-routine repair. I shopped there a second time, even though I ultimately found the car I just bought elsewhere, and I think that says the most about them. Then after I invested $300 to have Mercedes Benz dealership inspect the car it was discovered it had a blown air intake manifold that would cost $2500 to fix plus it was missing undercarriage parts from the slip shot repair from the reported accident, faulty door-locks, aftermarket tires and brakes (flag5) I had every intention of negotiating a price reduction due to the blown engine component especially since I paid over $300 to Mercedes Benz to go over the car with a fine-tooth comb and when I brought this to the attention of the sales manager he was rude and said he would sell the car to another unsuspecting customer and told me to leave. I informed him that since the car had a discovered engine defect that was a danger to sell he was obligated to fix it or disclose it under Georgia Law and he said and I quote " I don't have to do anything I have been selling cars for 20 years" The bottom line this outfit buys cars at auction puts a fresh coat of wax on them and hides everything they can about vehicle issues. Deceptive Marketing and Damaged Car Sold as "Certified New" I purchased a sedan from this dealership about a month ago. The mileage quoted on their website said it had 6811 miles. The actual mileage was about 17,300. When I told the financial manager, his eyes widened, and he said oh geez, this has happened a few times. He asked the sales manager to come in and explain, and he said it was a "typo" ... which is impossible because the numbers were completely different. When we spoke on the phone before I came to buy it, they said the car had been checked by the Lexus dealership, cleaned, certified as brand new... and the site said that as well... When I got there, the car was filthy, the blind spot monitor system was malfunctioning (I had to have it replaced for $1000), and the parking sensor system wasn't working - one of the sensors had been damaged in an unreported accident. Or maybe they damaged it. That was another $500. Neither was covered by the warranty. There's a dent in the roof, and scratches on the back bumper - it's clearly been taken off and put back on incorrectly. Sure, these guys were quite charming, nice service and comfortable space. It's a beautiful car that I love and the price - despite the problems - was good, but it could have been several thousand less. They were careless and misrepresented the vehicle. I recently went to Used Imports Auto to check out a car in my brother's behalf. I went there this past Saturday after the salesman " Don" stated it was still available. When I got there the car wasn't on the lot and I had to wait around Roswell area for 2 hrs to go and see the car. It was at a repair shop getting the radio fixed. I was able to test drive the car and called my brother who is out of state that I liked it. My Brother called the salesman "Don" back and told him he wanted to purchase the car. Don stated he wasn't able to sale the car now because someone else wanted it. Keep in mind, I had to drive like 1 hr to see this car on a Saturday! So long story short, they claim they were waiting see if the other person still wanted it. Don really wanted to sale the car to my brother because he already had the funds for the vehicle but his mgr. was still holding out for the other customer. So today Don calls my brother back and ask if he still wanted it. My brother said yes and then Don sent the bill of sale to my brother's bank. Don sent the bill of sale of 12,900 for the purchase of the car. I saw the car online for 12,683 on autotrader so my brother was trying to get a deal for it. The owner or mgr of this car lot, then came back and told my brother that they wanted 13,900 for the car. The mgr or owner stated they had pay 1200 for the radio repair which they had to do anyway since it was broke that is why the other customer backed out the deal. Shopped all over for a 2013 Mercedes c300 4Matic, but Used Imports Auto gave me the most car for the money. I can't say enough about Ali the General Manager. There had been a miscommunication regarding the price and Ali did everything he could to make things right. And speaking of price, they were below Kelly Blue Book and NADA.
