I've taken my 2004 Lexus SC 430 to John since it was brand new. It's now 22 years old and runs like a top. John is trustworthy, extremely knowledgeable and reasonably priced. He checks my car out completely and if he finds a problem, we dicuss it before he actually does the work. My car runs like a top and has never let me down, thanks to John. He will usually repair whatever is wrong while you wait. His shop's is clean, spacious and welcoming. He and his employees are polite, respectful and friendly. I can't say enough about this shop. It was my first time visit with my old, but still perfect, 2008 Lexus LS460L with 380 H.P V8 & 8 speed transmission. It's a hot rod in disguise. Ozzie's suited me just fine and I'm very particular since I'm a particular car man. Very professional, respectful, mannerly, and knowledgeable. Comfortable waiting room too. The super clean bathroom is the icing on the cake. So I think I've found a lower cost replacement for the Lexus dealer I've used. read more

This place is definitely deserving of its good reviews. I had an unavoidable accident on the highway which affected the splash pan on my sister car. I called this place twice-both times Sam was super helpful. Brought the car in-and the owner? Checked under the hood and gave me a fair estimate. I would have gotten the work done here but they didn't have the part and I had to leave that day. So they advised that I go to the dealership. I did. Once at the dealership, they of course had a long list of things that I needed to fix. Big surprise. I actually called Ozzie's again. The owner? Or a lovely gentleman told me what exactly to do if I he were to give advice to his daughter. I really appreciated the honesty and compassion. I had been going to Ozzi's Automotive for a number of years and really never had any issues. Never really felt like John (owner) was overly friendly to me but he was professional enough during our interactions. And after moving 45 minutes away, I liked them well enough (because it is hard to search for a good new mechanic) to continue to drive back for services like oil changes, etc. But most recently I had an issue with my car and I called to discuss it and got his son who is now working in the front and dealing with customers. Basically my wheel shakes badly when I press on the brakes. His son told me that it was probably my front rotors and that they could replace my brakes and turn my rotors. I made an appointment for about a week out. In the meantime, I had spoken to a friend of mine who although not a mechanic is very handy and works on his car regularly. I had also called a couple of other repair shops closer to me to discuss the problem. And I was getting different advice both from my friend who works on his car as well as the other repair shops (including the dealer). And that advice was that I should replace the rotors and not turn them. And when I went online to do my on research which I always usually do, the information was mixed, some say replace and others say turn depending on whether or not there's enough metal left to turn. And I had gotten pricing from two other shops and the Infiniti dealer on actually replacing the rotors, not just turning them. So, I decided to call Ozzi's back to discuss this with them and ask them what they would charge to just replace them. I again ended up speaking to his son and the interaction was extremely unpleasant. He was flat out extremely rude to me . When I told him about my friend's advice, his attitude was well your friend is not a professional, we are professionals. And when I mentioned the two other shops and the dealer suggesting replacing them, his response was well, why don't you just use them then since you don't believe what I'm telling you. I told him he was being rude and instead of apologizing, he doubled down and did a big "huff sound" over the phone and said well you are taking up my time on the phone and that's when I had enough. I asked to speak to his father and he said rudely "he's not here now". So, I asked well when will he be back and he rudely repsonded "I don't know." So, I hung up on him at that point because I'd had enough. I followed up with an email to John, the owner, cancelling my appointment and describing how his son had treated me. I stated that he could call me if he wanted more details, hoping that he would actually call me and apologize for his son's behavior. No such call or email has come. I did also state that I wouldn't post a negative review but the more that I've thought about it, I think people should know so they can avoid this shop as since John has made no attempt to reach out, I'm assuming the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I also reviewed the other negative posts here and now it all makes sense. I just can't believe it took several years to figure it out. Thankfully, I found another shop, Alpha Omega, in Marietta, that was the exact opposite of Ozzi's. They treated me with dignity and respect and when I went in to have them diagnose my car, it actually ended up not being the rotors at all. My car's suspension needs replacing, it is 15 years old so that makes sense. They actually brought me back with the car on the lift and showed me, they didn't just tell me. That's the kind of auto repair show I want to be dealing with, not Ozzi's. Because they also told me that it was still safe to drive if I didn't have the money to replace them right now. They weren't just trying to upsell me, they were trying to do the right thing which is so rare these days. read more

I want to give a shout-out to the Team at Ozzie's Took a Toyota Tacoma in for some refresh work on the water pump, belt & shocks ..... in advance of shipping it back to my home in SW Mexico Hit some unexpected (& fairly complex) snags on the suspension work due to excessive rust / corrosion underneath (vehicle was purchased in Ohio ..... go figure) Candidly, I was a bit worried about #1) whether this Automotive shop actually had the know-how to adequately address the messy structural work required underneath the vehicle ..... & #2) what was the bottom line 'hit' going to be on my pocketbook due to these 'unexpected surprises' Refreshingly, not only did Ozzie's have the deep technical expertise to correct the various suspension issues (Thanks to one of the Teams' top shelf mechanics ..... That be Bobby), but also the final price tag was very reasonable & fair..... all things considered Most auto shops would have probably exploited this 'surprise situation' to the hilt on the final bill. The owner (John) did not do that There is obviously a reason why Ozzi's Automotive receives extremely high reviews on Yelp. John & his Team are very 'straight up' with their customers ..... & they are ethical / truthful I can't say enough good things about this automotive shop experience Roswell & Alpharetta should consider themselves fortunate to have Ozzie's Automotive as a "trusted & capable' option as it relates to automotive maintenance & repair read more

They have Poor customer service they basically took advantage of my situation my suv overheated and they did not want to give me the codes for the vehicle but had the audacity to quote me 1800 with no reason why and what is happening to my vehicle ,they took my fan apart and because I called them out they never put my fan back correctly the guy insulted me about my attitude but he has poor customer service if your black just turn around you sense the racism from these ppl when u walk in body language is everything fraud is what this place is . read more

My trusted mechanic for 25 years suggested John/Ozzie's for an issue they were uncomfortable taking on. If unrepaired my 13 yr. old vehicle value would be minimal. John looked at the issue and optimistically felt they could repair it. Due to multiple additional problems and inability to locate replacement parts, it took longer. Time was cheap and the results were excellent. It was repaired with no replacement parts. A mechanic who takes the time to repair rather than just replace parts is rare these days. I am confident I saved at least $4000 and likely much more if this was dealer serviced. read more

Cant say enough about how honest and good Ozzies is!! I used him twice and he informed me that my lexus was still under warranty for what was wrong , but to call Lexus fast before it expires. Lexus had it for 2 days and couldn't find the issue !! I had to go to the GM tell him exactly what Ozzie told me and how Lexus really dropped the ball. I must say that once the GM was involved it was repaired under warranty. But if Ozzie didn't point it out or was dishonest that repair would have cost 2,000.! Absolutely would not recommend Ozzie's Automotive. I previously lived in the ATL metro area and had Brake Service performed on my GS 350 Fsport without issue. I've since moved to DC but happened to be in ATL when I stopped by Lexus for an oil change. I was told I needed new front rotors/pads and rear rotor resurfacing/pads which would cost over $1500. I reached out to Ollie's and spoke with John. I explained that I was visiting and until Memorial Day and learned I needed brake work. He quoted me around $800 for the repair job which would include OEM spec parts. I brought my car in the following day and had the repair completed. Fast forward a couple of days later I drove back home to DC. During my drive my brakes started making a loud squealing noise. I reached out to John to explain the situation. He advised me to have the vehicle checked out by a local mechanic here in DC and to follow-up with him. This is where things took a twist. After visiting a Lexus Certified repair center, I learned that Ozzie's installed the non F-sport brake rotors which was causing the noise. These do not fit my vehicle. I was advised that in order to fix the issue I would need to replace the front rotors and pads again but at a cost of $1200. I reached out to John and tried to come up with a resolution. To resolve the issue, I asked that John refund me for the parts and that I would return to him the incorrect parts they installed. I did not ask for a refund of any of the labor performed even though I would have to pay to have someone else do it over again. This would have been a partial refund of around $550.00. John declined and offered to send me a $200 check. He then told me that the receipt states that all warranty work must be performed at Ozzies. I explained to him that A) This isn't warranty work as he installed non compatible parts. Warranty work would be if he installed correct parts that were either defective or didn't resolve the issue and B) He never told me about this pre-repair. Especially, since I told him I was visiting and that I live more than 600 miles away. Additionally, this policy is printed out on the receipt that you get only after the work is complete and you've paid. John then became very nasty and unprofessional with me. He began yelling at me over the phone. He even went as far as telling me he was tired of dealing with me and that I would need to bring the car back to him before he would do anything. Obviously, I was unwilling drive 650 miles back to atlanta with defective brakes. I was quite disgusted with the way I was treated. Especially since I've referred numerous of friends and coworkers to his facility. Fast forward to a few weeks later after having to have all of the work on the front brakes done over again, I started hearing a noise from the rear wheel. I took it in to my mechanic here and was told that who ever installed the pads on the rear left one of the caliper bolts off and as a result the caliper has partially became detached and is rubbing against the wheel. As a result, I then had to replace the rear pad again and pay for the installation cost in addition to the cost of the missing bolt. Mistakes happen but the way I was treated by John is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. read more

Good news and bad news... The good news is that I have found a mechanic to replace my dealership. For the past 17 years my 4Runner has been cared for exclusively by Stone Mountain Toyota. Over the past several years there has been a steady deterioration in the quality of service that I have received. The last time I took my 4Runner there for service will be the last time I take my car to that dealership. The service that my car received at Ozzi's Automotive was memorable. The owner himself took great care of me, from the rapid and accurate estimate, through the check-in when I actually brought him the vehicle. The time estimate he gave me was accurate as was his initial estimate of my final bill. As if those things were not enough (and they WERE), I got into my vehicle to find that they had even vacuumed it. Sound like a small thing? Made a huge impression on me. The unspoken message that that small gesture sent was that they cared for my car as I would care for my car. They win. I am their new customer. Now for the bad news... I was kind of looking forward to purchasing a new vehicle. My 17-year-old 4Runner has more than 200,000 miles on the odometer. It looks and drives as well this year as it did in the first. Still, I reasoned that a 17-year-old vehicle didn't owe me anything so maybe it was time that I looked at a new one. Well, those hopes are dashed. If Ozzi's Automotive continues to provide this level of service, I don't see a new one in my future :-) Thanks VERY much for providing an opportunity to share my experience. read more

Took a car we were thinking of buying to Ozzi's to check it out. It had some problems, but nothing major according to the mechanic at Ozzi's. We knew it was an older used car but they did not offer up any serious red flags, so we bought the car. Three weeks later the car isn't running and the new mechanic asked us why we hadn't had the car screened before we bought it. Funny that, since I paid Ozzi's 100 bucks to do just that. Now 2 THOUSAND dollars in repairs later I feel like we tried to do the due diligence and ended up just wasting money. The new mechanic couldn't believe all the things that were overlooked by Ozzi's. Makes me sad and mad because I really thought we had found that really hard to find- an honest competent mechanic ! read more

Unfortunately we had a very disappointing experience with Ozzie's. They were kind enough initially and started that they would attempt to find the lowest cost repair option. This ended up with work that was done that had nothing to do with the problem and a bill that was 4 times more than any other quote. We argued the cost for work that wasn't necessary and they took it off, which some people would say is a positive. However, I don't believe we should have been out in that situation to begin with. In the end, the cost was still double what other repair shops stated should have been. Very disappointing experience. read more

The part unfortunately failed (no fault of Ozzi's) within 1 year of repair, I took my car back to Ozzi's and they again performed the repair and installed a new part free of charge. After Roswell Infiniti quoted me $1,400 for a radiator replacement on my 2010 FX35, I started looking on yelp for a mechanic nearby with great reviews; after all they are few and far between. I called up Ozzi's and he gave me a quote over the phone that came out to less than half the cost of the first one I received elsewhere. I dropped my vehicle off the same day. Later that night an intense thunderstorm woke me up and I immediately began worrying about my car getting hammered by hail. The next morning I received a notification that my car was ready for pickup. When I arrived, the car was as clean as it was the day before when I had dropped it off. John informed me that he brings all cars into the shop everyday before they lock up. When it came time to pay for the repair, the cost was over $50 less than the quote he gave me. I'm relieved to know that I have a new mechanic that I can trust. read more
