Been coming here for years but lately it seems all the good eyebrow technicians have left. This time I had a new lady (to me) who I explicitly told that I wanted a "light cleanup only" multiple times before she started yet she still ruined the thickness of my eyebrows. Her rationale was "I just gave you shape"...I didn't ask for her to shape them. I asked for a simple cleanup. Not sure if I'll be going again but strongly recommend that the salon train their staff to follow customer directions. read more

I went here on insistence of my cousin and was extremely disappointed. I got a facial and the lady at the reception recommended something for my skin type. I was told that Usha, the cosmetologist, will look at my skin and discuss what my needs are once again prior to the facial. I was asked to change and ushered into the facial room. There are two tables and they run two facials at the same time. Meh!! So much for privacy and wanting a relaxed experience. Once in, I wasnt asked what I wanted nor did anyone look at my skin. Usha, with whom I had booked my appointment was working on the woman next to me and her assistant did my facial. I was very annoyed, but didnt say anything because I would be interupting the other woman's facial. My facial itself was very very very very bad! The girl doing my facial was entirely clueless and was treating my face like it was a blackboard and she was rubbing the chalk off it. The cleaning job was pathetic, its been five weeks after my facial and I am still breaking out :(:( As I was paying , I was told they take only cash and I had none. The receptionist was super nice and told me where to find the ATM and let me go without paying, on a promise that I would come back and pay. After paying, I complained to the receptionist and again, she was very nice about it. She asked me to wait a few minutes and speak with Usha, who told me that I can come back again and she will do my facial then. I did book an appointment then, but ater coming home and looking at what was the aftermath, I cancelled it. read more

I've been coming to Usha's since it opened years ago, so I can't believe I hadn't written a review for the best beauty salon in the area! I'm usually running into Usha's right after work and get there just before they start to close at 7pm. But they are always super accommodating of my hectic schedule, especially the receptionist (my favorite person ever!). I get my eyebrows done here every time, plus they do facials, waxing and everything else in between which i love. Like other people have said on here, they're extremely fast and efficient in what they do for busy people like me. The only heads up I would give to anyone is that it's cash only, but don't let that at all stop you from going! You'll get great, friendly customer service and more. read more

My cousin's girlfriend and a friend of mine were raving about this place for getting their eyebrows threaded. Honestly, eyebrows are definitely a defining feature on a female face, well any face for that matter so that's a a place I don't usually mess around with and go anywhere for. Usha is normally out of my way but since I was heading that way anyways I figured I stopped by and trust my friends. I'm honestly so glad I did, what really reeled me in was the fact that they only charge $5 for eyebrow threading when normally I pay around $13 and that's without tip, so by the time I tip it's usually $18. So by the time I'm done here I pay less than what I normally do, plus there was absolutely no wait, I did go in on a Thursday morning after all. But I was in and out in about 10-15 mins the most. I will definitely be returning to get my eyebrows done here the next time! read more

You pay for what you get here. While the prices are extremely cheap, the work is not good. I got my eyebrows threaded and left with a cut right under my eyebrow. The woman was extremely rough while brushing through my eyebrows and while threading. The woman doing my eyebrows also missed many hairs and when I asked her to try and get them she gave me an attitude. The salon is also dirty. read more

I've learned my lesson well - - some salons have their specialties, and this salon's specialty is their threading and waxing. Love Zara. I come here regularly and am always pleased with the service. Cannot comment on facials, hair cuts, etc, but this place, and Zara in particular, is fabulous. She does an amazing job with the threading and waxing. They're friendly, fast, decently priced (especially on the threading sale days) and I don't even need to make an appt. I usually just walk in on the way home from work. read more

My friend has gone here for quite a while and one day I tagged along with no intentions of getting anything done. I'm glad I did! The staff here is always super friendly and sweet and put up with the fact that I typically tear up like crazy when getting my eyebrows threaded. Usha's is also extremely inexpensive. I normally pay 10 dollars to have my eyebrows done and upper lip waxed, but I just went in the other day only to be informed that it's only 5 dollars during the holidays! Fantastic! read more

I unfortunately have to give this place only 2 stars which they only earn for their affordable prices and customer service. Ive had my eyebrows threaded before, but I recently moved to the Shrewsbury area and needed to find a new place so I decided to give this place a shot based on their reviews. Everyone was super nice, but holy crap did this hurt. I wasn't sure why it was so painful as she was doing my brows since I've had my brows threaded tons of times before. Once she was done and gave me the mirror, I noticed I was bleeding from both brows in multiple tiny spots. Once I got home, I still had to pluck numerous hairs that she clearly left behind and the spots that I was bleeding from became even more irritated afterwards. Anyways, I don't recommend the threading. read more

Zero stars for this place. I went for waxing here and even after informing them that my skin is sensitive, the lady burnt my face and my arms so badly that it took 2 weeks for my skin to get back to normal. It's been 3 weeks and yet Parts of skin on my hand are still dark because of the burn. read more

Affordable and fast! I walked i after a trip to CTS in the same plaza, badly needed a lip wax. The desk lady was on the phone but greeted me warmly and called for someone from the back to help me. This is the worst parlor I have ever been to in MA. I went for threading and applying henna on my hair. The staff is not at all trained in threading, they just pull out hair however they want, I had a very painful experience. And coming to henna, the girl who applied doesn't even how to tie the hair tight after applying henna and for all this they charge 50 bucks for just shoulder length hair. People who set up parlors should be responsible enough to take care of it! I would never ever suggest this parlor to anyone. Highly pissed off and disappointing experience. Screw these kind parlors who just cheat people by overcharging and earn money with lack of skills and experience. read more

I wrote a really bad review of a facial I got done from this Salon, where I ended up having pimples and my black heads weren't removed. But then the next day I got a call from Usha offering me a sandalwood paste that can help reduce the breakout. That was a nice gesture and I really appreciate it. I believe a facial with Usha would have been way better and hopefully I didn't have any complaints. But nevertheless the place is friendly and their call to take my feedback and discuss the problem was a sign of good customer service. read more

They were really nice but their eyebrow service isn't the best. Went there today and they absolutely ruined my brows. The woman doing them was in a rush and she made one of my brows shorter than the other, and she ruined my shape. My brows look about as similar as Obama and Donald Trump. read more

Went here for eyebrow and upper lip threading. It's a plus if you see pricing and no wait. That's why 2 stars . But I got cuts and bruises 2 out of 3 times I went . Painful all the 3 times. If you have appointment they always remind you and if you can't make it due to any reason they are always happy to accommodate your timing.
