I had a straight haircut which did not end up being straight .. so I believe trajere is not so much experience on anything else. That was my first time in this salon and I ended up liking my pedicure. It was accurate and very clean. The down side is I am a bit concerned about hygiene in this place. Things looked clean, but there was no liner in the pedicure tub, instruments were not in steril bags, etc. This things are very important and most likely I will not be back to this salon read more

I hesitate in writing a bad review. I have been going here for a year and it's a hit or miss every time depending on who you get. But for the last few visits my experience forces me to write this. I ensure to call In to make an appointment but my luck has still been a 20 minute wait on average. My visit today made was again based on luck. The lady I got waxed my arms with one strip which is ok, however she lathered wax coatings on my arms and use one strip . This really hurt me, she also was doing it so vigorously that wax flew in my hair. Anyways this is still somewhat acceptable. However when she did my eyebrows she was busy talking to other staff (which I don't care about if you are focused and good) she was pulling my hair so slowly. I could not have been more clear I was uncomfortable. The worst thing you can have is have the staff pull your facial hair slow. Furthermore her breathe was disturbing, her fingers clearly smelt of food and come on.. BO should be under control with a job like this. This is the 2nd time I've had someone pull my eyebrow hair so SLOW. I cant speak for other services or staff.This review is for the owner to address these concerns. read more

Wanted on doing this review as the staff are friendly yet did not feel as they were honest with their hair service... they tried to over-charge me for a cut that was done mostly with a razor which could have been done at Supercuts across the street or at barber shop. It felt as if I was one of Edward Siccorhands' client... my ear was caught, which caused an abrasion. I was distraught and the sides were not done right as it confirmed this is not a place tO get a haircut without being overcharged... However, their eyebrow threading was spot on with some discomfort which is to be expected. I am disappointed with the fact they were not as honest with their skill of being able to provide ide a proper, authentic, and of quality haircut. Once again, to be charged for their mistakes and mishandling with the razor which was cumbersome is not good business or a caring one. read more

I have mixed views about this place. While the staff works hard to accommodate everyone and are evidently working hard, they are disorganized about the appointments. The wait here could be anywhere between 5-45 min depending on the time of the day. The service cost is much cheaper than most in the area but it comes at a price. read more

My polish started coming off the next day. Only one layer of polish on my French manicure. Pedicure was mediocre. Won't be back.

I have had terrible waxing experience with them. They ripped off my mole while waxing underarms, not once, TWICE!! After the first time, I made sure I always show them where it was and to be careful with it. Still it happened again!! How could they not train the staff to be careful with stuff like that? They always seem hasty with waxing as if they just want to get done with it. The staff is terribly trained! I sometimes wonder, how this place has survived in such a competitive service industry for so long. I would never recommend this place, especially for waxing. read more

I've gone here for my eyebrows and they do a great job. However; do not waste time or money on a gel manicure. I went for a gel manicure and had to ask the tech to clean polish off my cuticles before curing. Within 24 hours, multiple nails have chipped and they look so messy.. there is polish all over my cuticles, unevenly filed and chipped/pulling up and it's been 72 hours. I should have saved $35 and done them myself had I known this would be the outcome. read more

The only unfortunate part is that they offer used robes (for waxing) from one customer to the other until you specifically ask for. It's unhygienic! I was looking for a new place for a pedicure and I chose Nabina's based on the reviews. This salon/spa is frequented by customers who want threading so there are only 2 pedicure stations and I was the only one there getting a pedicure for the 1+ hour I was there. I did see someone getting a manicure but I think there is only 1 manicure station. I liked that there was soothing music and they offered me coffee, tea and water. The pedicure station is separated from where they do the threading. The staff member was very careful and took her time. The only problem I ran into is that the color I picked was a dark purple on the outside of the bottle but when it was put on my toenails it was a very faint purple. The staff member kindly told me this so that I could pick another color. I have to wonder if maybe some of the polishes are older since they probably don't give pedicures all that often. It's a little tricky to find. Park in the back and go up the stairs to the salon. I will go back and recommend it for a pedicure but that's the only service I got there. read more

Never go here for a brazilian wax! I've had brazilian waxes for the last 10 years, and never have I had such a painful wax as at Nabina's. Seriously, there's no need for it to be so painful. If you're in the city, I recommend Bliss Spa in Boston and Bebe Spa in Brookline. They are fast, thorough and gentle.
