I have been coming here to this location for 20 years +. The service is always polite and courteous. The folks behind the counter do not staff the front desk or the facility. The line gets long. anyone is free to go to a private carrier and pay 35% more. the USPS is a subsidized Govt entity and loses money. So, shut up you complainers. I moved and ended up getting a letter that required a signature I had fallen down stairs while moving and hit my head : injured both knees and sacroiliac joints I also have vertigo from a previous head injury The main Post Office number on the ticket took me in circles because it wouldn't accept the article number and there were no options to talk to a PERSON (IRL) I searched and everyone said you can't call the local Post Office I was able to find the number to the Centennial Post Office On my second try Abhash answered HE was so kind and patient and exhibited superior customer service Despite My vertigo and being disorganized I tried to explain I couldn't walk or get to the post office to sign for the letter And That often this vertigo and inability to walk can last for more than a week He gave me the information I needed to negotiate a backup plan with USPS to get the letter if I still could not walk or drive by the time it had to be returned to the sender Abhash I hope I am spelling your name correctly Your expertise: professional demeanor and kindness can never be replaced by AI There should always be an option to speak to another human Because Life happens Not all situations can fit inside a bot's thought process or a phone tree I applaud Abhash as the epitome of the postal service motto. Anytime I try to mail something from here, they always find a problem with my package. Today she refused my package and said packages can't have duct tape on them. I've been coming here for over 20 years and it's always a negative experience. The main woman behind the mail counter is the most unpleasant person I've encountered in customer service, ever. I actually thought this location finally listened to the reviews because last time I was here the mailing/stamp machine was working. Well here I am again and the machine is broken, people lined up the length of the interior, some waiting outside. Go ahead usps, and blame it on COVID. I've been going to this post office because it's close to our home. I expect long lines but I don't expect to be cheated and over-charged. The first time it was with the male employee who's been there for awhile and I was shipping a book and was told 'media' has a higher price to it and to ship it to Colorado Springs with no rush would cost me $23.00 and some change. Then yesterday, 8/12/20, I hear the female employee say the complete opposite about shipping books and told the customer in front of me that her books would be delivered by Saturday no problem. I was there to ship an 8.5 x 11 manual. It was a Tuesday afternoon that needed to get to New York by Friday. I selected Priority Mail but then was told if I want it there 'guaranteed' it would cost me $48.35. I asked her if she was serious and how come I had to guarantee it when she told the woman in front of me that her box would confidently get there in time at a significantly less price. I told her no thank you and I'm taking my business elsewhere. I went to the UPS store off of Quebec/County line and with Friday delivery, a box to ship the manual and my total came to $15.73. I MEAN COME ON! This the 2nd time I felt this office tried to over charge me and I am done and will no longer will be supporting that location. read more

Well, what do you expect? It's a post office and it is busy. However, for as busy as it is, you can usually get what you need to get done here and there are a robust number of services offered. Worst post office I have ever had to deal with. I have lived in my home now for over a year. I have submitted 4 change of address slips and still continue to have my mail be returned to sender. I have discussed over the phone and in person with management. I have stopped my carrier to ask for answerers & they all say they aren't sure why this continues to happen. Telling me to submit another change of address. I have submitted two formal complaints and this has yet to be resolved. read more

I thought I would try and balance out the reviews with some positivity, since everything on this page is pretty negative so far. I haven't actually had to go inside this post office very much, but the few times I have it was a just fine experience. Yes, there is a line. No, it doesn't move very fast. But, too be fair, this location is no worse than any other post office in my experience. Waited in line for over an hour here today. Only 2 postal workers helping a line that was at least 12 customers deep. I was patient, not complaining, and actually helping others when their patience worn thin. Then I see 3 workers meandering around behind the counter, not interested in helping an overwhelmed staff of 2 counter employees ( who were helpful, and continued to tell us they were the only ones working today). A supervisor could not even get on a register and help her swamped employees out. What a shame - USPS wonders why they lose business to UPS and FedEx. I will avoid this office and use my local UPS store. Manager's Office - "Michael" was locked and he was no where to be found. It would seem a common team atmosphere was not present today. Those poor 2 ladies having to lift, service, and listen to complaints for at least 20 people that needed USPS service. Hats off to you girls today! For those wanting to mail a package the self check was out of order---has been for days making the lines longer. Finally gave up and left, line not moving but before leaving I heard a postal employee in the back yell out that there were brownies in the break room. This post office is ridiculous! There are only two people working for so many customers. And they also take their sweet time on helping others. It is obvious luck of respect for customers and their time. Everyone wants to be in and out, some people use their lunch break to get stuff done. This post office sucks!. Horrible service for YEARS! I've had mail stolen from be at this post office. I've had clerks at this post office try to "oversell" postal service, trying to get me to purchase services I didn't need. One time I carried in a package, the clerk at the counter quoted me a price of approximately $25 to mail it. I walked out and took it to the downtown Littleton post office. Ended up shipping it for less than $15 ! In the past I complained about the poor service, only to be told I was a "PROBLEM CUSTOMER". SHEEESH! I sent a gift to Israel for my niece's wedding. Insured it for $100. The Item was stolen, so I made a claim. I was told they don't insure packages to Israel. I had the stamped receipt, with ISRAEL clearly written as the destination. We were charged for the insurance, and when the article was lost, they refused to pay. When I asked why they even insured the article in the first place, I was told they are NOT RESPONSIBLE for their clerks' mistakes. OMG! Spoke to a woman clerk, who instructed my 5" x7"x less than 1 cm H wax-sealed envelope would have to be mailed as a parcel at $2.45 each (I had 68 total envelopes, only bought 40 labels because I could only buy 5 at a time from the machine!). Spoke to two other postal workers at a later date, stated they should only be $0.68 each. I returned today and by the SAME clerk, was given $0.70 stamps to mail my remaining envelopes. The envelopes have the same shape, weight and sized seals as the envelopes mailed the week prior. I do not understand why I was told something different both times (especially when $2.45 was outrageous) and when I spoke to the Supervisor at the Office, he waited about 20 minutes after I left to call and tell me they were not going to investigate my issue further and to "not use wax seals in the future." I feel very taken advantage of and am extremely disappointed in the incompetence of this office. I can see why the post office is becoming obsolete. read more
