When you go to this post office, the on-site employees are consistently just lovely to deal with. However, the phone is never, ever, ever answered by anyone. You can call any time of day, on any day of the week, and it will just ring until it times out and drops you. If you are going to put a notice in someone's PO Box that says that your PO Box expires on January 31, when in fact it doesn't expire until February 28, and the notice says that the rate is going up but does not give the old or new rate, and then no one can be bothered to answer the phone, this is a great way to anger people. Calling the 1-800 number for the main USPS customer service gets you someone in a foreign country who does not understand what you need, or says, oh, you have to get that from your local post office. Not everyone is able to just pick up and get themselves to the post office in person, due to having to work, being disabled, or a variety of other reasons. So, bring the jobs back to the US or start answering the phone, but do SOMETHING! read more

Don't be fooled by the drab appearance, this post office is efficient and friendly! I prefer to drive out of my way to come here because the ladies behind the counter keep the line moving. There is a self-service station though, if you'd prefer to skip the line. They do have a large selection of bodes, envelopes, greeting cards, and moving supplies as well as ample counter space to put your items together. There is also a passport station, though I've never seen anyone utilize it during my visits. There is plenty of free onsite parking, which is nice not to have to pay a meter or circle around looking for spots. read more

Every time I come here the line is practically out the door and there's only one person working the front desk. The US Post Office needs to either hire more staff or reprioritize their tasks (I can here someone in the back Update: My dad and I were shipping out a large tote and he'd previously shipped two with the lovely Asian gentleman. He was mentioning that last time he came, the man put a label with his address on the totes when the elderly woman working there sharply cut in with, "I know how to do my job, *sir*." Was in and out during my lunch hour. And the older man working (did not catch his name) was so kind and picked out a loose stamp that went with the occasion of the envelope I was sending, without me even asking, which I really appreciated. All the comments complaining about how long they had to wait makes me wonder where on earth is there a post office where you don't need to wait for a bit when you go during peak times. Buncha is a rude server. I went in with a couple of questions and he was blatantly rude, sarcastic and patronizing. He should not have a job where he works face to face with customers, as he has no people skills and is arrogant. Never will I return to his post office again. Edit: Also, Buncha lied to me and tried to make me pay a whole new $16+ while being rude, so I left. I then go to the downtown post office and within 2 minutes they have resolved the package issue and made me pay the $3 difference and re-shipped my package. This guy Buncha knows nothing while he has an attitude with me for being a knowledgeable shipper for 6 years. I go in knowing what I need to do and he refuses, but someone at another post office knows exactly what to do and does it easily for me. Glendale Office in Colorado never delivers big packages. They say they attempted, " Delivery Attempted - No Access to Delivery Location" but there are Big Parcel Lockers in the apartment complex and somehow they have no access? I call BS on this. Small/Medium packages are delivered, but not big packages and this is the 2nd time this happens. I bet the driver does not want to carry the big box to the Parcel Locker. I say this because I received an email from Amazon saying USPS reported "Delivery attempted - Front door / Driveway was not accessible" and I live in an apartment complex. I cannot believe this. Every time I come here the line is out the door and the guy behind the counter spends more time chatting than working. Very frustrating to all waiting as there is always just one or two working. I will drive out of my way from now on just to save time! Edited to add: I was waiting in line because I attempted to purchase stamps from the lobby machine. It charged me for 20 stamps and only gave me 10. After a 20 minute wait in line, the woman working at the counter literally told me "go back and kick the machine a couple times. If that doesn't work come back and let me know." Seriously?? This place is a disaster. So sad that it is literally a block from my house and I will go to another PO when needed. read more

Would give them zero stars if I could. They are extremely inefficient, unorganized and, worst of all, RUDE! Every single package I have delivered through them gets lost... that is not an exaggeration. They will mark the package as delivered, but never attempt deliver or leave a notice. I know this because I work from home and am always available. This requires me to go to the post office, wait in line and hope they can find the package in the back. Sometimes they do... sometimes they don't. When I recently called to inquire on why they never attempted to deliver my package, I was unfortunately enough to speak to an employee named Bruce. When I complained about them consistently messing up delivery, he hung up on me! Some customer service! Avoid at all costs! read more

Words cannot express my disappointment for this sad excuse for an establishment. Every time I have the misfortune of being required to visit this post office I feel like I'm preparing for battle. I wish that I could give negative stars. My postman won't leave my package in the package box at my apartment so I have to go to this god forbidden post office. I'm actually here now, there's a line 10 people long with 1 slow employee. I recognize this man because he's been rude to me a few times before. Glendale station has the absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered. If you can avoid this station, do! I have been there on multiple occasions to pickup mail held for vacations and such, they are always rude and slow. read more

Close by. Check. Drive through drop-off. Check. Inside automated postal doohickey so you can come by after hours and shove in your debit card and get stamps. Check. And most recently, someone who not only peeled the nearly impossible to see backing off my stamp, and *also* didn't make me wait behind the other 7 people in line. Is life unfair? No, that was pretty damn cool of them (when I walked up with what I thought was a stamp without glue, trying to get tape to stick it on the letter.) Beware leaving here and going south...Mississippi and Birch has a "right turn only" sign there...and Glendale/Denver cops enforce it enough it'd be a horrible experience to turn left here and make a routine post office stop an expensive experience. read more

I've lived all over Denver and this is one of the nicest post office locations by far. I no longer live down the street, but if I'm running errands in the area, I would much rather get everything done here than go to one near my place. Yes, sometimes there are long waits but that's life! Of the many, many times I've gone in there, I've probably only had to wait longer than 10 minutes a few times. People are ridiculously impatient and want to bitch about everything when they don't get the gold star treatment they believe they deserve. Guess what? You live in a CITY, where there are LOTS of people who also need to mail things. And those people are probably going to be there trying to mail things at the same time you are. Also, before you bitch about the people that work there, maybe think how your attitude would be when impatient, entitled people such as yourself come in there rude AF all the time. I've never had an issue with anyone in there and Pam is actually one of the nicest ones if you would check your attitude and actually be a decent human being to her. I will happily keep coming back to this location and am very appreciative of everyone that works there! read more

Slow slow slow. At least, the guy who helped me was. I watched him while I was in line, dawdling around and being otherwise unhelpful to the people unfortunate enough to be stuck with him. All I needed were stamps (one of the collector's books), and he looked at me like a deer in headlights, saying they didn't have that many stamps. AT THE POST OFFICE. "Um, okay...thanks." I said as I walked away. Then he actually told me to go to the Cherry Creek location because they had a better selection. It's Christmas so I won't say anything mean about him, but the USPS really do need to kick it up a notch with the selection of their employees. read more

Always buy, always understaffed, the older gentleman talks and talks, moves so slowly, complains about everything, talks smack about his co-workers. I think I've been lucky when I've come in to pick up a package. The parking lot is sizable and can accommodate customers. The clerks have been friendly and I have no beef with them. The labels and boxes are usually stocked. I'm fairly content with having to come here to retrieve a package or mail something out. This location is definitely one of the larger ones with a large area in which you wait in line, i.e. you aren't queuing past the entrance when there's only 3 people in line. read more

It dawned on me today after visiting the Post Office in Glendale--the REASON why the public doesn't rally to the defense of the Post Office now that their very existence is threatened with privatization of the mail delivery sevice. You would think we would support the Post Office, as a people, and defend this institution that has been around since Santa Claus.
