The employees here are the same each time and all have one thing in common, absolutely condescending and rude to anyone that walks through the door. I was treated terribly and watched as they were flat out rude to every single person that came up to the counter. This is a location problem that needs to be looked into. Had to file yet another complaint - walked in with another customer behind me and NO ONE was at the counter so I said "hello" 1 time so anyone in the back would know we are there. Of course this angry - heavy set - wig wearing woman came from the back rolling her eyes, full of attitude. When I handed her my package, which was per-stamped she sighed heavily, rolled her eyes and threw it in the basket I left, but decided to go back in and asked for the manager. She claimed there was not a manager there, and I informed her that she has the worst attitude every single time and is known for being a horrible representative for the post office. She rolled her eyes again and said "i don't care" I told her I'm filing a complaint with the postmaster which I did do and she just kept screaming "i don't care I don't care I don't care." A few weeks ago, we dropped off my wife's absentee ballot for yesterday's (January 5, 2021) Georgia Senate runoff election at this US post office in Dunwoody. We swung by this USPS location because it was convenient to where we were at the time (we'd just finished picking up lunch at Budi's Sushi Two Go across the street -- I recommend it for sushi in this area). During the time of our visit on a Thursday around 1:15pm, this post office - and as a result, the parking lot - were busy. Even at that peak time, there was still ample parking. There was a line inside, but all my wife needed to do was drop off her ballot, so no waiting was needed. We were in and out in a flash. Despite unprecedented mail volume due to (1) effects stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, (2) the runoff, and (3) the holidays, I was surprised how fast my wife's ballot got to Bulloch County. Her ballot was received and accepted the following Monday, only two business days later. Quick. We used regular postage stamps. This post office is located in Dunwoody Village in a relatively nice, freestanding building. It's got nicer architecture and landscaping than most post offices I've been to. The building is brick with white columns in front. The incorporated mailing facility is sizable as well. I think part of the look of the place has to do with the overall design standards of Dunwoody Village, which is in a generally-affluent part of town. The customers trended older, middle to late middle age. Dunwoody only has two post offices: (1) This one, situated deep in the heart of Dunwoody, and (2) one at Perimeter Village near Perimeter Mall, not far from I-285 and GA 400. As far as post offices go, this one is clean and pleasant, so it gets a thumbs up from me. read more

AWESOME Post office!!!! Though I've never been there before, they truly have an amazing staff who believe in wholesome morals & values! Long story short-- I am a seller on different websites (eBay, posh etc) I had sent my buyer a product that she purchased. -She complained (not to me) but to her local post office, that the package had water damage from the rain in transit. I had no idea that any of this was happening until I saw (on my 'selling' account online) that I had gotten a credit for the product. I just thought, oh well, you win some/lose some... nothing I can do right? No big deal, I moved on.. Weeks go by, I get THE package returned, in PERFECT condition, along with a letter from the Dunwoody post office! Wow, speechless... I arrived here on a Saturday afternoon and there was only one person working at the front desk. I will admit he was moving pretty fast but it still took about 30 minutes to get through the line. A bit much for a simple Saturday. Although, is any Saturday really simple at the post office? On a good note, the location was clean and there was ample parking in the lot right in front of it. Whatever employee is working the register April 9, 22 at 10:45 would rather be on her phone than help customers. I'm not sure if other locations are going above and beyond by taping original packaging and sending customers on our way or if she didn't want to help. I had to get out of line twice because she said I needed new packaging and also to buy tape. I don't send things often and I'm used to (at many location) having the original packaging taped up by the cashier and having the label printed from the QR Code I was given, then I'm free to go. This is the worst post office across the board. I've repeatedly had packages to me listed as undeliverable because my business is closed. The items were addressed to my home and I was at home when "the business was closed or inaccessible." I have had envelopes I mailed returned to me as postage due when the envelope was charged the package rate. I went to the post office to learn more, but had to leave after an hour in line. Possibly the worst post office I've ever been to; it is consistently bad, not just during COVID. Packages are NEVER delivered on time and delivery dates are rarely accurate. Visiting the location on a weekend means a 1-2 hour commitment with no choice but to wait when they fail to deliver a package. It's the USPS, so the standards should not be unreasonably high. Yes, stamps are more expensive than they should be. That being said, I think Lance is the saving grace for this place. He's hilarious and efficient, two traits that make collecting/sending the mail a much easier process. My packages are almost always crushed or ripped open when delivered LATE, if not completely stolen all together, and it's always a hassle dealing with them trying to find out where my packages are, or why they were sent out of state when they were at their destination location, causing me days to a week more of wait time to an already late package. read more

This is the absolute most pathetic US Post Office I've dealt with. I got a note that my package couldn't deliver, with no indication at all of where I could pick it up. I went online and rescheduled the delivery, and they never redelivered. I even saw the driver at my apartment the day of the delivery and he said to just go to the store that he doesn't have it. So I went to the store, got their at 5:01 on the dot. I thought they closed at 6, but it's 5. They're with still 3-5 people working behind the counter and 4 people waiting in line. Not only do they have horrendous customer service, but they decide on a whim not to deliver things - even when people are home - and tell you the package is ready for pickup (their systems). Second time coming here, both times "helped" by Lance. He will make you feel incredibly incompetent and stupid if you did not follow the exact steps to ship out a package which can be confusing if you pay and print the label from home or from work like I have to because I ship out boxes for my job that I just started. He is not helpful and is quick to tell you to self-service or to go home and come back the next day after he rudely instructs you how to correctly do it but still not in a way that is helpful at all or to better help you understand how to go about this process the next time. Instead you leave with your blood boiling because of his attitude and lack of care for customers who aren't as knowledge about usps. I wish I could give the Dunwoody post office zero stars. They often have the drop box outside taped off so you can't leave anything larger than an envelope. The inside dropbox is rarely operational. To drop off a package with the postage already on it, you have to wait in line for up to an hour. The one person they have working each day is incredibly rude. Our mail delivery person is very nice but it sometimes takes me two weeks or more to receive a piece of mail from my family in Tampa. Dunwoody is a great place to live. I thought I'd seen the worst customer service and the most unhelpful, surly post office employees. Then I came here, two days in a row. These people hate their jobs and hate having to actually "help" customers. One woman chews gum with her mouth WIDE open. We get to see all of her tongue and a big gob of gum as we stand in line for 15 minutes. Another woman acts quite put out if she has to go in the back and look for something for you. Incredible attitude, and I definitely don't mean that in a good way. But your experience is alleviated by the cheerful decor in which you're warned via stern 15-year-old posters on the walls of all the things you must not do within these hallowed walls. I'd say it's similar to the ambiance of a prison visitor waiting room. How can employees and a service-oriented business be THIS bad? There are many cases where I feel the average Yelp rating is not fair but this one is spot-on. I don't know how many times I have been to this post office and it is seriously the worst one I have ever been to. I am well-versed in the workings of visiting post offices, as for years I was an active Amazon and eBay seller and would ship using USPS for the lower prices and reliable-enough deliveries. I am forced to come to this post office because the apartment complex I live in won't accept packages that cannot be left in my mailbox, which is absolute BS in my opinion. I know that I seem entitled and maybe the leasing office's job is not to accept my gazillion Amazon Prime boxes and other packages, but every other apartment complex that I've lived in (and I have ONLY rented my whole life, so I'm not making crap up here) provides this courtesy to its residents. Because my packages can't stay in my leasing office, I often get slips from the mailperson to go pick up my package at this very post office. The service here is slow as hell and the most employees are either apathetic or obviously hate their job. I know that not everyone loves their job (I've been on this boat more than a few times in my life) but don't take out your dissatisfaction on your customers. This location is awful. They are incredibly unhelpful and don't make any effort to accommodate their customers. I have to come to the office frequently because whoever delivers my mail to Dunwoody Village Apartments simply doesn't want to take the time to actually do their job and instead, they leave a slip saying they "attempted to deliver" my package. My leasing office does take packages and I always include a "Drop off at leasing office if unavailable" and this directive is simply ignored. On one of my days off I received a pink slip saying the mail person tried to deliver.. (I was home all day so this obviously isn't true) this has happened on multiple occasions. These folks are downright lazy and it's unacceptable. If that wasn't enough, I was traveling for a week out of the country and returned only to find my mail box empty. I contacted the post office to see what the issue was only to find out ALL of my mail had been marked RTS because they assumed that since I hadn't picked up my mail in a week that I no longer lived there... so now I have had to contact over 5 agencies individually letting them know that I need to have the packages resent. I was charged an additional shipping fee on two of the items... as far as I am concerned this branch of the USPS owes me $39.80 for my additional fees. Thanks USPS. read more

I can't even imagine the conditions of working at this location if the employees and couriers give so little a damn as to mess with the mail. The person that delivers the mail to my apartment complex during the week has repeatedly either lost mail, put packages and envelopes into other people's boxes, or marked items in tracking incorrectly. At this point I would honestly rather they do it college dorm style and deliver a cart of mail to the office and have them sort it. My personal loss/mismark rate at this point is over 50%. If Amazon delivers a package via USPS, I don't really have a choice to push it to UPS, and it's a crap shoot on whether it makes it or not. Personal packages from out of state or items with no tracking number to scan are almost always a guaranteed loss. TERRIBLE SERVICE. I live in an apartment building, and they do not actually deliver to doors. This means that if your leasing office does not hold packages, and all of the parcel boxes are full.... they will not even attempt to deliver. They will leave a peach colored card telling you they attempted to deliver your package (ha.). If you live in 30346...My postman doesn't actually fill out cards with article numbers, or where to pick up the package. If this is your first time "missing" a delivery, it's the dunwoody village post office... I had to call the 1800 number to find out where to pick it up. After that, I tried calling the post office to find out why they didn't deliver it and got a VERY rude associate who when I asked for a manager, simply replied with "NO." It took me two more times of asking who the manager was, and if I could have their voicemail before he replied with "Mrs. Witherspoon" and essentially hung up on me. ZERO customer service, and please explain why I would pay for a DELIVERY service where THEY DO NOT DELIVER. What post office can you legitimately say, "I like going to the post office"? You can't....except here! Even on a Saturday, the gentleman and young woman who work up front are always cheerful, helpful, and full of laughs. When you are in a line waiting, the guy will look at his watch, and announce to the customer in back, "...time us! We will be with you in less than 10 minutes." (Or whatever time is credible based on number of customers) Its not that he's setting a time, although now all the customers before the last are trying to expedite their needs to play along, but that he acknowledges the line.
