This is my neighborhood post office. Yesterday I went in, just needing to get stamps. I called out Hello--and waited, again waited and said Hello again, waited a little longer and again said Hellllooo?? This was over 2 min I would say. He finally came out and I said you saw me come in right?--aren't customers more important than what is going on back there?? He said "you do not determine what I do"--I said NO I do not. Hoping someone else does though-unshaven guy forget his name. Very, very, rude--that he would even think to say something like this to a customer is really beyond my comprehension. Had one other problem with him -- do not remember about what, but again recently. I said I wanted some nice Christmas stamps--he said oh they only come in a book -- oops he forgot to mention what a book might cost ?? Left with a couple of single stamps. Just weird, I am not the type of person that receives rude treatment ever. I certainly do not accept it.

Absolutely worthless government union workers who do not care and are only collecting a check…read more Every time they raise the postage rates the USPS pension amounts go up. That is where all the money is going. Not improving service. USPS informed delivery shows that I should have received 12 pieces of mail since Saturday. To date I have received NONE! As I stood off to the side waiting to speak to a person in authority, the lone clerk behind the country loudly called out "Next impatient person please step forward". Not very professional but exactly what I would expect from a highly compensated union government employee who was annoyed because they actually had to do something. As of this writing nothing has been resolved, and I am still missing bills that need to be paid and other important documents that the Merritt Island USPS scanned into the informed delivery on line system 4 days ago but have not yet actually delivered. Now I get to jump through a bunch of hoops to pay bills over the phone, that are due but were never received. My usual postman who delivers my mail is excellent. He is very friendly and very efficient and very dependable. He is apparently out this week thus all of the current non-delivery issues that are happening. Asking the other highly paid postal workers to step up and do something to fix the problem is a total waste of time. They simply do not care and are only there collecting a check. But they are union and government workers so they will have a job for life.

The store is extremely small, usually understaffed, and there are only two registers and one self-service kiosk. The kiosk becomes overwhelmed with customers sorting through bags of returns, looking up codes, and printing labels, which creates constant backups. I have personally waited more than 15 minutes just to use the kiosk alone. The register line is just as bad, with long waits and lines frequently extending outside the store. On one visit I had to stand and carry a heavy item the entire time while waiting in line. Overall wait times are consistently 15 minutes or more every single time I have come here. This location clearly needs better staffing, additional kiosks, or a much better system for handling returns.
