I use this location for the kiosk occasionally, but this time I forgot to have the machine forward my receipt and I didn't have the tracking number. This is important for eBay purposes! I've been coming to this location for many years, and I have generally found the employees to be pleasant, knowledgeable, and professional. They have the same people working the counter, who I recognize from being there for several years. I've never had a negative experience. The lines are never really long, and they move pretty quickly, although sometimes they are slower than others times - I normally blame the customers who need an abundance of information rather than the employees if it takes longer than usual. I think this is one of the best post office locations I've been to. read more

I really didn't want to visit this facility because of the awful Google reviews. I'm glad I did. This branch appears to be an older facility, so it's not much to look at, but it was very clean and organized. I went to drop off a package during my lunch hour. I was prepared to wait. I went straight to the counter and was immediately welcomed, helped and thanked. And just like that, I was on my way! I figured it was still too good to be true and that they probably wouldn't scan my package until some time that night, like the others... again, they proved me wrong. The African American male is extremely rude. I walked in via an open door and he threatened to have me arrested bc they were closed (it was 5:33pm). This rude behavior should not be tolerated. This is the worst post office I've ever been to. I run an online business, so I make frequent trips to the post office to print shipping labels and ship out items. There's this one employee here with an unprofessional blonde man bun who is horrible. I tried to get his name but he wouldn't say. He's been super rude both times I've been here. He's mocked me and claimed that I was packaging my items wrong. I've been running my business for months and never had issues until I came here. Also, 50% of the time when I mail out packages here, they come back to me in return mail. I'm not sure why, as I weight the packages there and pay for the exact weight of them . Like I said, I've never had issues at the post office until coming here, so I recommend staying away from this location. From now on I plan on driving the extra 2 miles to the next nearest post office. I will be calling corporate on this horribly managed location read more

Not sure why all the negative review. I had some stuff that I needed to mail and since I was in the area I figured why not. Besides the traffic was starting to get piled up on Johnson Ferry...surprise...ha...not...my transaction went off without a hitch. The clerk was friendly enough for a postal worker....honestly most postal workers I've had contact with are pretty friendly for the most part...besides you probably don't really want to tangle with a postal worker anyhow...they might go...you know...postal...anyway...not much to it.... read more

Unfortunately I mailed a package and threw away the recent so I did not have my tracking number. Of course, the package did not arrive to the destination...(it did but recipient didn't tell me). Anyhoo, I called the East Cobb Dr. USPS and Jason retrieved the receipt with the tracking number from the kiosk. The USPS main Customer Service number told me it was IMPOSSIBLE to do that. Not sure why you're reading a review of a post office. If you need a post office, you don't have much of a choice. The reason I'm writing this review, however, is to offset the negative ones. People don't typically write a yelp review when things have gone right so the rating on this post office is entirely too low. It's my "home" post office in my community so I don't want it to have a bad rating. I will tell you that all of the people working here are pleasant, polite, competent, and helpful. If you're reading a 1-Star review, know that it's an anomaly. While it's true that the lines can get pretty long, I'm sure you'd agree that that's a general post office issue on a federal level, not a specific, local post office issue. That's like complaining that it's cold during winter. Well....yeah, it's winter! The people are the heart of any business. Both the employees and the customers. I can tell you from repetitive, consistent experience that this is truly one of the better post offices in the country when accounting for the people that work there as well as the people that go there. read more

The last two times I have been here the African American gentleman has been a little rude. I had a package with a return label I printed from shein and didn't know I was supposed to tape it myself. I got up to the counter and mentioned it needed taping and here's the return label. He replied with, "That's your job". He goes and gets tape and I tape it while he moves on the the next person. After taping it, I put it on the counter and told him I'd just leave it there. He replied with, "Is that what you wanna do?" Uhm yes? I'm shipping it off. Watch out - Mean workers work the night shift here!------- Don't go to the East Cobb post office unless you have to. I've never been treated so horribly at a post office or denied service because they "didn't have the time." I cannot believe post office employees can treat the public so horribly without any repercussions. This office also locks it's doors before they officially close at 6pm and state it's because they have a crowd (1 person is a crowd) so make sure you arrive a good 30 min before they lock you out and insult you. I love this location, but it seriously, seriously needs sliding glass doors. When my hands are full it's impossible to get through in.

Nice and convenient location however the hours need to be updated on the website. Website hours say open until 5:30 pm. Handwritten sign on the post office door says closes at 5:00 pm. No good --it's difficult to mail your packages when the post office is closed. Oh and the package drop off bin is locked. read more

I agree with Elizabeth C. This is the worst run post office ever. And I know exactly which employee Kat S. is talking about. Worst attitude I have ever seen...and I've been told she is the manager! We receive our business mail at a P.O. Box here. Sometimes our mail is in the box at the posted time...but more often it is not. One day we inquired and were told "oh we haven't gotten around to it". I would love to go back to having our mail delivered to the local UPS store but the Marietta Postmaster kept playing games with UPS (changing the way envelopes had to specifically be addressed) until we finally gave up and were basically coerced into getting a P.O. Box. Apparently, they did not like the competition...for obvious reasons! If you ever wonder why people want to make mail delivery a private enterprise...this is a prime example. read more
