I was charged a $30 no-show fee for an in-person appointment I never scheduled or confirmed. Every one of my previous visits was virtual, and I was never told this one would be different. On top of that, they failed to send lab orders in advance -- something they've messed up before, causing unnecessary delays. I started trying to resolve this in early June. I called multiple times, and a staff member told me their manager, Rosie, would call me back. That never happened. Eventually, another staff member named Drew gave me Rosie's personal number. I spoke to her directly, but she said she couldn't help because she wasn't clocked in -- and I never heard from her again. I sent a written dispute on June 26 and asked for a response within 10 business days. It's now mid-July and still no resolution, no call back, and no accountability. I've already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will be submitting one to the Utah Division of Consumer Protection next. This office clearly has serious administrative issues and doesn't seem to care about patients once they have your money. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. read more

I've known I have PCOS for the last 7 years, and wanted to find a clinic to check my hormones and offer solutions to my hormonal acne + lack of a period. I expressed during my first visit I didn't want to hop on birth control or spirolactone again, and three appointments later that's the only recommendation they provided me. Also extremely tone deaf from the doctor I was working with. After expressing that I wanted to get my period back after 6 months without it, she joked about how most women would love to not have their period. How is she working in endocrinology?! So extremely tone deaf and going that long without a period is NOT something to celebrate or take likely. Laughable experience. Save your time and money and skip this clinic. I've been trying to find someone (anyone) who can get to the bottom of my hormonal issues. For context, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism at 14. I've been managing my thyroid issues for 13+ years now, but I still feel terrible constantly. I went to Justin Hewlett (no longer at this practice) because ever since the moment I hit puberty, my hormones have been out of whack. I was a bit hesitant to see him, because he specialized in sports medicine, and I'm not a skinny girl. I got labs done, and when I came back for a follow-up, the lab hadn't even sent him the results, so I had to show him the levels off of my phone. I was slightly alarmed to see that a good chunk of my results were considered "abnormal", with one hormone, the ACTH was sitting at 117 (the highest 'normal' number is 63). He had me test my levels again the following week just in case. To no one's surprise, the levels measured last time were still abnormal (with my ACTH rising to 177). He mentioned that my pituitary gland seemed to be overworking itself, but he didn't think the elevated levels were of any concern. I requested an MRI, as it's relatively common for the pituitary gland to have a cyst or nodule on it that would cause a hormonal imbalance. After probably about 6 months of going back and forth with the front desk trying to get them to submit a Prior Authorization for the MRI, I finally just gave up and never ended up getting the imaging. I ended up trying to switch providers to the SLC office, but the receptionist said that I wasn't allowed to switch providers if I had already seen someone at their group. Overall the experience with the Utah Endocrinology Associates was a giant waste of time, and I still feel utterly horrible physically after seeing them. read more

Can I give this practice 0 stars? I don't even know where to begin. After having thyroid cancer and surgery, I was to have radiation therapy. Was jacked around for 2 months until I found a new endocrinologist. Dr. Falahati is either too important or just doesn't care about his patients. I could not run away fast enough. They don't return calls. You cannot speak to the doctor unless you make an appointment. Or even get answers. His staff did try and help but there isn't much they can do with such a poor excuse for a medical facility. read more

I am not usually one to leave feedback, but this place is an actual scam and money grab. Do not go here. I went there for a simple consult and was charged $250. Fine, paid for it. Then I had a "follow up" which was just a 5 minute phone call, was never prescribed anything except for some over the counter supplement (which I could've diagnosed myself) and the doctor was 30 min late to the phone call. They started telling me I needed to pay for the follow up, which is already ridiculous. I called multiple times and could never get a hold of someone, and today I looked at my bank account and they had charged my card $170 WITHOUT authorization. Truly the worst place. They charged my husband a cancellation fee because he was sick and couldn't make it in to his appointment. They then sent him to collections and tacked on a $35 insurance fee. Don't go here. This is the worst health clinic I've ever been to in my entire life. I first went to dr. Falahati about 2022 because of some blood sugar issues he was great. But then after a year of seeing him, they handed me over to David Gamble, NP who was fine. However, the problem with this clinic is that they are horrible at communication. 1- you leave messages and no one ever calls you back number. I've emailed and called and told David gamble and his MA's that no one returns my calls or emails and still. Nothing was ever done. 2- They do not communicate with you at all!! Horrendous communication and they just shrug and say sorry we never received your messages. Even on the stupid Klarna app! 3- Last but not least (or surprising for this clinic) turns out David Gamble, my provider, no longer works there--SINCE MAY-- and they never told me about it even though I had a follow up appointment scheduled. I just called today to get a prescription and they're like oh sorry you're not a patient here anymore because your doctor is gone. Um. are you kidding me? I feel like they need to be reported to the medical board and the business board and I don't even know who else, but the level of incompetence of the people that work there and the lack of care and compassion is staggering!!! The women at the front are complete b!tches, rude, disrespectful & don't care about you at all. they never send anything to the doctors that are needed, I waited six weeks for a document that could've been sent within 1. they lie to you, keep Information from you, and never answer their phones. when I finally got the paperwork submitted for my rare disease, the people at the pharmaceutical company were absolutely gobsmacked at how long they took and how unprofessional they were. they also like to call doctors by their nicknames, which is incredibly weird and super yikes. They'll text and call you 10 times to confirm your appointment, and then cancel on you within five hours. do yourself a favor and either live with what you have or find someone else. a toddler would treat you better lmfao, the doctor was so unhelpful, he ordered MRIs and then somehow "never got them", and read all of my medical information off of my own phone. I am completely dumbfounded as to how this practice continues to operate! Never have I come across a group of doctors so inept at dealing with patients. For starters, they don't believe in answering their phones during normal business hours. It can be nearly impossible to reach anyone in the office for scheduling, refilling a prescription, or a medical issue. My son is a T1 Diabetic so there are situations when timely responses are imperative. If I did get through I would leave a message on voicemail for the doctor's medical assistant. On most every occasion I never received a callback. I planned on changing practices, but before I could my son had run out of insulin and we needed a refill called in. I was assured on a Thursday that it would be taken care of. As of Friday late afternoon a phone call to our pharmacy proved nothing had been sent by the office. I called after hours and left a voicemail for the doctor on call stating our issue. No one EVER bothered to return the call. I left 3 urgent messages. I have no idea how to proceed. Without a doctors help, there is no way to get my son's insulin. I am absolutely stunned that this can happen in a practice this size. I wish I could say good things. But I honestly have not had any good experiences with the office. I came to the office really excited about getting answers and start feeling better. But when I thought I was seeing a doctor about everything. I ended up seeing a PA who didn't go over the details of what was going on. All I was getting told was my labs are confusing, keep referring to have more tests and other doctors opinions, and mentioned different medication to help with my PCOS. But later told me I couldn't try other medication because she was one of the doctors who abused prescribing the Mounjaro to other patients. I tried to be a patient here, I really did. And I tried patiently! But they never answer their front desk phone, and say all communication can go through their Klara app. I would have to leave several messages on both the phone and through Klara to even get a response. I saw Maddie there for some issues I was having and she prescribed a medication. And then after a month of phone calls & messages she still hasn't sent in the prescription. Sadly, this office does not pay attention to detail or urgency. It's always a calling back and forth experience with renewing prescriptions, sending them to the wrong pharmacies (after being told the correct pharmacy multiple times), and not urgently fulfilling requests in a timely manner. They say they'll call you back, but never do. All they say is "I'll send a message to the provider and get back to you" and you don't hear from them in days. I do not recommend going here, so find somewhere else that'll take you seriously, pay attention to detail, and communicate clearly and urgently with you. read more

When I leave voicemails, I don't hear back. When I try to get prescriptions refilled, my pharmacist doesn't hear back. I've had them send the wrong prescriptions over 3x. I have been Type 1 diabetic for almost 20 years. Dr. Falahati is amazing, open-minded, and a patient advocate. I can't say any of these things for his FNP Dave Gamble. Unfortunately, Dave has limited my prescriptions, which has caused me to run out. He lacks a basic understanding what life is like being diabetic and how important insulin prescriptions are. He verbally told me to lower my Lantus dose by 3 units, but then lowered my prescription by 10 units!! My health insurance and pharmacy couldn't do anything because of how the inept provider Dave Gamble wrote the prescription!! Ugh! read more

Couldn't give less then one star. Don't recommend the Salt Lake Office. Billing is awful and Doctor Brown is terrible. A year later from paying them off, they called stating I still owe money and they were getting ready to send my account to collections. I've Never received a bill or one phone call within the past year. They called on 12/20/2021 is the first call I've received since paying off my account 12/17/2020. I had to send proof from my bank account that it was paid last year. Thank goodness I kept all my records with confirmation and transaction codes; which by the way they didn't even want and they provided this information for my records when I paid it off a year ago. Joke! Update 12/28/2021: received another call for payment. Two different billing offices which don't even talk to each other or have access to the same information. What a joke!! So glad I no longer go here for care. Update 12/29/2021: received an encrypted email that can't even be opened, and in my line of work, I deal with encrypted emails all of the time. Therefore, I had to call their office, again, and my account is at zero balance. They had an incorrect address for me, again. Which is odd, given that I was receiving bills in 2020 at my current address. The address they referenced was from 2-years ago. I provided my address 2-3 times in the past week and again today so they can mail confirmation of my account being at a zero balance. Their billing department is the biggest joke! I highly recommend going to another office. This whole ordeal has created unnecessary anxiety and frustration with never receiving an apology from anyone I've talked to there, and I've talked to about 6-7 different people. read more

I really should've read the reviews, but I ignored them. DON'T. While I felt that all the people here are kind, I had a terrible experience. When I asked my provider to send a prescription for an important medication I need to live, they took months to do it. I had to call multiple times (with no answer) and confront the front desk to even get it done. When they sent the prescription (which they did speedily this time), they sent the wrong prescription. When I spoke to the front desk again, I was told that a prescription had been sent when I first met the provider. My pharmacy never received it. I was then told that it was my fault that the wrong prescription was sent to the pharmacy. After demanding to speak directly with someone who could take care of it then and there, they finally sent the correct prescription. It is not worth the trouble to come here because you will be given the run around and they will force you to come in to the office every time to take care of concerns. read more

I went to another endocrinologist who had heard all about Utah Endocrinology from other patients. My husband who was being treated there as well has been having anxiety whenever he takes his prescription and our new endo says that is because he was being over treated. I have the same problems contacting this office as the other one-star reviewers. I have been working with them for a year and a half and they can't seem to balance whatever is out of whack in my endocrine system. After my last virtual visit, the PA (new) and the receptionist failed to make a follow-up appointment. I'm supposed to be receiving refills on my prescriptions, but my pharmacy hasn't heard from them. They literally left me with a TSH of 0.068 (I'm hypothyroid) and did not make a follow-up appointment to see if my situation had been corrected. They also did not answer my email explaining the situation. None of this would be a problem if they would simply answer their phone. It shouldn't be my responsibility to keep calling until hopefully some person hired to answer phones actually does so. Fortunately my PA in my city is stepping up to take care of me. We had to schedule these on our own with the providers then call these guys back to get the order sent. They were never prepared for the visits. I've been seeing Dave Gamble for a couple of years, and the previous practitioner before that. Everyone at this clinic is so great- great service, great attitudes. Dave always listens to my concerns and I never feel rushed or judged. The real shining star is their LapCorp technician, Lupe. He is by far the BEST person I've ever had draw my blood. I have severe anxiety with needles and doctors and he is ALWAYS so patient and understanding. I've gotten better over the years with blood, and I have no doubt it is because of him. read more

I am a diabetic and needed to change what I was doing to get it back under control. I was able to get an appointment here, other places were multiple months out. In my first visit I saw Dr Falahati and all seemed to go well. It was suggested I try Mounjaro. It was it was explained I would next meet with his PA. I saw his PA at the time who I suspect was gone within a few weeks of me meeting her. I started on an 8 week course of weekly Mounjaro injections. Within the very first week I experienced terrible bloating, gas, upset stomach, etc.. all listed in the negative side effects of Mounjaro. I called this in and the PA returned my call within 24 hours saying these should go away over the next few days or weeks. I continued until week 6 at which point I could not take it any more. I again called in, actually 4 times (1 per day as requested) that week - absolutely no return calls and seemingly no way to talk to a person about the issues I faced. I even called their emergency issues line. All I got was VM and never a return call from those VMs. Then the start of week 7, I get a call from their office saying I needed my labs completed before my next visit. They were totally unaware my call ins about the severe issues I was facing. At that point I told them I was done with this office. I have since visited a different doctor who told me, based on what he saw in my charts, I should never have been placed on Mounjaro in the first place. Utah Endocrinology Associates seems broken - no call backs and high turn overs as I have come to learn. I think the high turn over lead to the no call backs - I wonder if anyone checks VMs of those who leave. I don't think so. I do not recommend them to anyone - find a different doctor. read more

Today, I left this practice. I didn't dislike or enthusiastically like the practitioner I saw that is why I'm not reviewing her specifically. The horrendous experience I had was a reflection of the practice, office procedures, and office staff. For months I had been coming in to, eventually be diagnosed with Hoshimotos, for blood work and evaluations. I would get blood work done on Monday, see the PA on Friday. The appointments last maybe 10 minutes, it was a hassle paying a $40 copay and arranging childcare for a 10 minute assessment that could happen over the phone. But it is office policy, so that is that. I enter my appointment reminders in my phone at the office when I make them. Their office doesn't send out reminder emails or texts. Today I had an appointment for 5:00pm. I know it was scheduled for 5:00pm. I got to the office at 4:54pm and they told me I was late for my 4:40pm appointment and I would have to reschedule. The doctor was still there it could have taken them a couple minutes to let me talk to her about my results. I didn't want to get into a 'he said, she said' about the appointment time (that I know was schedule correctly). It would have been easy to handle the situation with professional courtesy, but for some reason in the medical industry they don't view themselves as a customer service field. It is incredibly difficult to find a good Endocrinologist I am discovering. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this practice and I wouldn't feel bad about shopping around. read more

I don't ever leave reviews online, but after working for Utah Endocrinology Associates I thought I should. I have never before witnessed such a degrading hierarchy of power in all my life. I understand that doctors and nurse practitioners strive vigorously to earn the prestigious title that they have, however, this does not give them free reign to treat their employees as lesser individuals. Dr. Falahati, for example, has on multiple occasions sent out private emails degrading and berating his employees for behaviors he wishes to rectify. One of these emails attacked a male coworker of mine for "chit-chatting" too much, "even more so than all of the woman." This email not only conveyed institutionalized sexism, as if woman "chit-chat" more often than men in the workplace, but also attacked this employee's masculinity. Another email I received personally was entitled, "how dare you undermine my authority," after I had followed through with a patients request to be scheduled with Dr. Falahati in place of his nurse practitioner. The email was condescending in every sense of the word as he explained to me my place as a medical assistant in the world of medicine specifically asking me as the central topic, "who do you think you are?" I can't help but read the other negative reviews and offer insight to why the office staff is often behind and incompetent when returning phone calls, filling out prescriptions, and getting back lab results. It is because the office is constantly having to train new staff. Believe it or not, but the office has around a 3 month turn over rate of some of their positions. If there were a more enjoyable and respectful atmosphere then maybe the office could maintain their entire staff long enough for each employee to gain enough experience to work effectively and efficiently. However, the disrespect drives employees away, and the ones that stick around tend to learn how to best avoid Dr. Falahati and endure his tyranny. read more

He gave me the right meds to get my thyroid regulated in about 2 months and I feel so so much better. I also appreciate the office staff. They have a system and they follow it. I saw Dave Gamble, as a new patient 8 months ago they got me right in. I have been in 3-4 times since. The staff is very friendly, the office is nice, and it is a good location. Now the best part!! For anyone that has gone to a endocrinologist before you know that they have the personality of a doorknob. Not the case with Dave Gamble, he if very friendly and personable, he takes time to answer all of my questions, I never feel like I am being rushed. He has taken great care of me and caught the beginning of a developing health problem , enabling me to make some changes that will minimize if not eliminate my risk. I am thrilled with Dave Gamble I have recommended him to family and would recommend him to anyone needing an endocrinologist. Another great thing about this office is they are prompt with visits, The most I have ever waited was maybe 10 minuets, they usually get me right in with very little wait. Blood work can be done right in the office and the guy (I think his name is Luse) that draws the blood is a pro!! However, this review won't be about doctor's visits that are supposed to go well - the only reason he's not 5-starred for me is because of the receptionist. She failed to make my appointment when I called over the phone (and seemed to be annoyed that I didn't know exactly what I needed to be seen for; hard to know what was wrong with me when I haven't seen a doctor yet - sharing a few symptoms in order to pick the closest problem seemed to irritate her even more), and after rescheduling with someone of more help, my visit before even seeing the doctor was completely impersonal. I wasn't greeted, all of my paperwork was handed to me while she stared at the computer screen, and when I asked her a simple, direct question, she ignored me completely. Another woman standing by in the office was kind enough to answer for her after noticing. - I would 100% recommend coming here, but you might want to make sure that your appointment was actually made before driving there. read more

David Gamble, FNP will be my endocrinologist for life! I searched out Utah Endocrinology Associates because I have suffered from PCOS for 12 years and have seen at least 15 Dr's over the years for answers. Not a single one of them could help me the way David has in the last 2 months. He had me do labs the first day I visited and got back to me within 48 hours. His office is lovely, comfortable and centrally located and I have been able to see him quickly and on short notice when in crisis. It took about 6 weeks for me to initially be seen, but I didn't have to get a referral from my primary doctor which is amazing and so convenient. Dave is amazing at what he does and he is just a genuinely good person willing to be supportive and help at any time. He checks in with me often and is confident, compassionate and looks me in the eye when I'm talking. He listens to what I have to say and how I feel and he offers suggestions and help based upon how I feel. I'm so grateful for Dave and his knowledge and compassion and I feel like I have finally found someone who can actually help me so I don't have to live every day miserable, uncomfortable, Co fused and in pain. read more
