Terrible at returning phone calls. Needed to call 4 or 5 times for each appointment. They are the only fertility center around town so they know youre stuck with them. They add on an extortion charge of $150 for each appointment plus an additional $20 for drawing blood. So forva simple beta hcg, it was $150 +$20 + around $70 = $240, as opposed to a discounted cash price of around $40 at Labcorp. When we pleaded we were having extreme financial difficulty, the lady in charge was simply heartless and said she'd just work out a payment plan rather than reduce any of these extortion charges. I hope she really enjoys knowing she has sent people to food pantries over her outrageous overbilling. Truly miserable woman. read more

Figured I would confirm the reviews that are coming out saying to steer clear. Had a telephonic initial consult with a provider and was suggested a treatment plan. Something about his demeanor clearly emphasized he was completely uninterested in my case. I still proceeded with blood work but couldn't shake the feeling he had zero compassion for me. Turns out this provider was retiring, yet, he was still being allowed to accept new patients. He never communicated results and had I been equipped with this knowledge I would have sought fertility preservation- but elsewhere. It's clear this is a business for them and their top priority is cash flow, not women's health. read more

Utah Fertility Clinic is one of the worse clinics in business, I had an IVF cycle with them in 2023 that resulted in me having an ovarian abcess. It was very horrible experience. They are very unprofessional and no communication at all. After my egg retrieval, I had to call multiple times to get hold of my assigned nurse to get my result. No follow up calls. My nurse forgot to tell me about a medication that was prescribed by my doctor, that would have made my cycle more successful. Considering how expensive they are, I expected much from their operating room where eggs are retrieved. It was less than standard. The staff are unprofessional and the doctors lack real knowledge or empathy for their patients. Everything here is overpriced and all they care about is your money. They are in this for the money and not to help couples with their dreams of having babies. From the front end staff, to the nurses, doctors, anesthesiologist, back end staff, they are all unprofessional. I remember the anesthesiologist was so unprofessional, he did not introduce himself and had this angry look and grin on his face on the day of my eggs retrieval. My doctor made all the decisions and did not carry us along the process or ask for our concerns or input. I'm not sure how they are still in business. Please do no waste you money, go else where. Don't believe the good reviews, trust me, go elsewhere, its not worth your money or the headaches. read more

Utah Fertility Center is incredibly overpriced. The staff is poorly trained and disorganized. My wife and I went to them to try to have a baby. We got lucky or so we thought. We got a good embryo and my wife was pregnant. Unfortunately the baby died at about 23 weeks. We talked to a different fertility doctor and he told us that women over 40 need to have their hormone levels monitored through the entire pregnancy and that is very likely why our baby died. Utah Fertility Center never told us that. Despite the horrible outcome that we wasted nearly 25 thousand dollars to achieve, we gave them another chance. They scheduled a physical for me, a man, with a female doctor without asking me. That sent me into a panic. I had to reschedule with a male doctor. I know many people are fine with a doctor of the opposite gender giving that kind of exam, but I am not. After that it felt like I was on their radar. Nothing went right. The embryos tested bad. We talked to other clinics and they told us the genetic testing wasn't nearly as accurate as UFC claims and we sort of went down a rabbit hole there. Then our doctor talked us into using an egg donor. One of the staff gave us incorrect information that made me suspect that they were trying to get us to do a more expensive procedure for no reason except to pad their pocket books. After that I couldn't trust anything anyone they said. Maybe the girl just learned the information wrong, I guess I will never know. What it comes down to for me is that, you have to give clinics like this a lot of trust. I found that there are so many dishonest things they could do and there would be absolutely no way to prove it. It requires a lot of trust. They lost my trust. Don't go there, find a small clinic to have your procedures done. It will save you a ton of money and frustration. read more

Dealing with secondary infertility you begin to question everything, yourself - your spouse, every piece of information you come across. Uncertainty breeds fear and often times that's what we all feel walking into a new world. In late March/ early April 22' we made an appointment with Utah Fertility - they were so backed up we couldn't be seen until July 22', we had the patience and time to wait maybe others won't but we took the risk and I'm glad we did. Immediately we started receiving emails about setting up our account with prior health history, emails about our appointments incredibly communicative about what was ahead of us virtual trainings, we received phone call reminders and kind text messages from staff. We get to our first appointment and welcomed by a warm smile at the front desk, once seated we waited no more than 15 minutes past our appointment time immediately greeted with an apology, once we were seated we waited for Dr. Parker who went over every step and every potential scenario calmed every fear walked us through Best and worst case scenarios - thorough, efficient, helpful, honest. From then we went on to get ultrasounds, everything was incredibly professional pain-free bedside manner already exceeding my expectations - as a black woman... if you Google maternal statistics for maternal care - you should know by this point in my review - I'm being 100% honest with you. We got to speak with a woman I believe her name is Rachel about our care plan who walked us through all of our upcoming appointments that that we would need medicine we would need to take setting up prescriptions etc. she was fantastic. My husband had to give a sample and we both ended up with blood work both phlebotomist found our veins on the first try and we are traditionally 3 to 6 vein poke attempt people, they were immensely kind incredibly sweet to chat with and done quickly! While we were still in the office we got a text message to set up our appointment to discuss financials so we headed there next. When we checked out at the front desk with our appointments to set up including the financial review - everything went swimmingly. Hoping the rest of our IVF process goes as successful as our first visit. There aren't many recent reviews so I had to leave one. Thankful for the staff EVERYONE was welcoming. read more

So disappointed in how this clinic has gone downhill since my last IVF transfer five years ago. The staff in the surgical unit, which are the most important employees in the organization are completely unprofessional and disorganized. The front desk attendant had me in tears right before my transfer and should not be allowed anywhere near hormonal women desperate to be mothers undergoing the most important procedure of their lives. She should be fired immediately and replaced with someone who understands the importance of such an event. I completely blame her actions for the terrible headspace I had going into my transfer and its lack of success. read more

Military/TRICARE users avoid this place at all costs. They aren't the most military friendly and you will have issues getting things that are covered under TRICARE billed correctly. The medical staff is great but getting ahold of the office staff is impossible. We have been waiting to be scheduled for a medical surgery for two months following the four months we have been going through other treatments. We have called multiple times requesting a call just to get an update. Calls to the scheduling offices or managers results zero call backs. It's has also been a constant back and forth with billing following every visit. We have paid out of pocket for procedures and have been told that we would be credited once insurance pays out. We have not received any credits for the procedures that we paid out of pocket for. Two weeks ago we drove nearly 1.5 hrs to ask in person why we weren't getting calls back. Once again the scheduler was out for the day but the front desk assured us we would be getting a call today. At 5PM the scheduler finally called my wife back. It shouldn't take us getting in the car and visiting the location to get any sort of customer service. It also shouldn't be a fight to get the bills itemized so that TRICARE will cover most of the charges. Update 12 July 2023 Still no communication from anyone. Today we decided to go with someone else. After nearly 2 months of waiting for just a phone call to schedule we can't recommend this organization to anyone. read more

I would not recommend them as they do not seem very organized and they charge excessive monitoring fees, feels like a way to scam more money in this process. Even though GC had insurance would not file it adding additional administrative burden while charging $150 for each service for an outside monitoring fee. This is NOT a place you want to go if you are really ready to have children and you have decided to make the investment in infertility treatment. They return about 20% of phone calls, and the actual IUI process is a lot like being the hot potato. There is zero continuity and you are passed from person to person and treated as if you should know what's going on even though they aren't totally sure either because they've never met you. A big factor in the success of infertility treatments can be anxiety over the process. I have been to another clinic and know what a quality experience should be like. I'd still be going there if we hadn't moved across the country. At the other clinic, you saw the same doctor (even though it was a large clinic) at each visit, you had access to a nurse by phone at any time, there was a class you could take about the protocols and injections; in short, there was a supportive atmosphere. And they were always happy to answer questions and concerns. This experience has been the opposite. When I have been at both locations for UFC I have NEVER seen a nurse on the phone. I have seen them chit-chatting. I have seen them playing on their phones, but I have not witnessed a single person (other than the receptionist who transfers you to voicemail) actually answer the phone. That has to be the most basic function of any clinic or service oriented business. I'm disappointed because this clinic came so highly recommended. I am glad we took them for a test run with an IUI because I don't think I would want to invest a pile of cash in an IVF cycle with a clinic that so clearly could care less. read more

I was very optimistic going into my fertility journey with Utah Fertility Center because i got a few recommendations from close friends. I was a patient at the St. George building. I had to make my appointment through the Pleasant Grove office because nobody would return my messages. I should've stopped there and found someone else. In the 4 months of being a patient, they never once have answered their phones, and trying to get insurance submission forms was a nightmare. The NP is nice there, but hasn't answered emails. I had 2 failed iui's done in their office and thought the NP or doctor would being doing them, but it was done by nurses. I had to meet with Dr. Foulk to get established and the first thing he said when we met him was, "Well we know it's not your husbands fault, how does that make you feel?" Like what?? He charged us $275 for telling us how sperm gets to an egg, and then never saw him again. He's apparently the best in Utah, but obviously has terrible bedside manner. During the first iui procedure, the nurse struggled to put the catheter in and said, "I think I just got it in and don't feel any resistance, so I think I'm in the right place." She didn't sound very confident, and again I should have stopped there and found another clinic after it didn't work. Please save your money! It was multiple bad experiences and I would not recommend them. read more

I would 100% recommend Utah fertility! Dr.Parker made my dream come true & I'm now 14 weeks pregnant! In 2021, I lived in California and underwent 2 IVF cycles which were both unsuccessful. I began feeling hopeless and went through every emotion you can think of during that difficult time. In October 2021, I moved to Utah and we had our embryos transferred to Utah fertility. Dr.Parker put me on a thyroid medication (which they never did in cali) and he checked my tubes for any blockages and did an HSG. On 6/1/2022 I had my 1st embryo transfer with Dr.Parker and it was finally a SUCCESS! Dr Parker and his nurse Sydney Gardner are absolutely amazing! They help you through every step of the way with all your questions and worries. I cannot thank Utah fertility enough for making mine and my husbands dream come true! We cannot wait for our little princess to arrive in Feb 2023!! read more

We are close to the end of an IVF cycle. This is our second cycle and our first with The Utah Fertility Center. Our experience with UFC has been a night and day difference from our last experience with a clinic in Idaho. First, they booked our cycle immediately. They didn't put us on the same quarterly start date as every other new patient. My IVF coordinator returns my emails immediately, when possible, or within a couple of hours. She also calls me back within the same business day if I leave a voicemail. I feel like she cares about my concerns and she doesn't seem annoyed by my questions that may have obvious answers. At our former clinic in Idaho I could rarely reach my IVF coordinator and emailing her was frowned upon. We chose Dr. Foulk because he helped my sis in law conceive her two children. He also came highly recommended by nurses in Boise, ID. The first day we met him I knew he was the right fit for us. He is an expert in the field but isn't arrogant and hasn't lost his compassion and understanding for patients. My interactions with both the Pleasant Grove Office and the Murray Office have been good. The staff as a whole are professional and caring. They have a solid system for seeing so many patients. With my first IVF cycle elsewhere I was nervous the entire time and felt like I was constantly fighting for answers or information as well as consistent information. With Utah Fertility Center I have felt confident the entire time, even during all the daily injections and leading up to egg retrieval. That confidence comes from a doctor and staff who are informative and caring. read more

Got there early for an appt - had to wait 40 minutes with no explanation why. They told me they would get my sample back to me the same day. They didn't get it back to me until a week later. Then my wife called to get an appointment with Dr. Faulk and they kept sending her to the new patient voicemail and then no one would call her back. She had to call four times in order to get a callback and then the Woman who finally called her back was really short with her and rude and to top it off, the next available appointment was 3 1/2 months away. I noticed that most of the online reviews are dated 2014 so I wonder if in recent years they got such a large patient base that they no longer care for new patients. read more

Going through the whole process is stressful enough. The staff here are amazing and caring individuals. My husband and I just finished our second IVF and have one beautiful baby girl and anther on the way. We were told by other doctors we had no chance of having children. I had a very poor experience at Utah Fertility Center over the summer and have had much time to reflect in what happened. I would highly recommend going anywhere BUT here. There were many cascading events which brought me to this conclusion. This was my second ivf cycle, the first was at Columbia Fertility in nyc and although not successful with providing any viable embryos, the staff was very kind at Columbia, the doctor competent and the clinic organized. All of which Utah Fertility Center was not. I went to Utah Fertility Center 4 months later and it was an awful experience. I am shocked they are in business and that so many trust them with the future of their family. The conclusion of my poor review is as follows. #1: I never met Dr.Faulk in person prior to my egg retrieval. When talking to him over the phone and about my past experience in New York City he said, "They do NOT have a good lab and I can get you pregnant before going back to New York because our lab is the best." I thought that was a bold comment. Months later and i had never met him in person. When I requested to meet him at my egg retrieval appt prior to the procedure, I was told they were running behind and since this was a time sensitive procedure it would be best if I waited. I refused and insisted to meet him. It was an odd meeting since I was already lying on the table. How interesting to not make it a point to meet your patient prior to a large procedure such as an egg retrieval! (Which by the way, both the anesthesiologist and Dr. Faulk were late too...(I was their first appt of the day). #2. The anesthesiologist TEXTED me to ask about my personal health history. As a healthcare professional, I know that is not within the bounds of HIPPA. #3. The nurse Lacey lacked professionalism needed as well as respect for her patients. She spoke down to me when I asked any question and did not seem organized. She sent me a consent that someone else had already filled out with another name on it! Another violation of HIPPA. Also, she called me 25 min before I needed to take my trigger shot and expected me to be at home waiting for her call. Because I had been waiting all day for her call, I was out grabbing dinner. I told her I may not be able to make it back in the next 25 min but would try my best. She answered back, "Well then you won't have your doctor for the procedure and we may have to start over for next month." She made it sound like It was my fault when she could have called me hours before to tell me when to take the very timely trigger shot. #3. Communication between staff is very poor. I was told by my nurse to be at the center for my egg retrieval at 6:15 am for my procedure at 6:45. It makes sense to arrive 30 min prior. When my husband and I arrived, there was no one in the building. dr Faulk and the anesthesiologist waltzed in 15 min later at 6:30. When addressing my concern to their tardiness, Dr Faulk said, "usually most people are late, so I tell them early". What?? That is crazy. Very unprofessional. A very inappropriate and shocking answer to tell your patient who was on time for a timely procedure such as an egg retrieval. #4. No one called about my reports. I had to call. The nurse then told me to look on the portal. I couldn't get access. I finally heard back from someone who passed along the news that I had zero embryos from my 33 eggs. Crushing news. Thus, although it may have not been Dr. Faulk's fault I had no embryos, once again, he should not have been so confident in telling me he was sure it was the lab's fault at my prior clinic. Also, he never called and spoke to me about my results. I had to call him and then told me that I was impossible to please when addressing the issues I had with his clinic. Overall, it was a very unfortunate ivf experience as compared to my experience at Columbia. It was like a mom and pop shop, not a sophisticated business with good customer service/bedside manner like it should be. I was very disappointed and would definitely not recommend them to ANYONE! read more

We did almost everything at the St.George office (except retrieval & transfer). We got 13 healthy day 5 embryos and so far a charming baby boy!! I have been an egg donor before (in LA) so I knew what to expect and then 4 years later ended up married & we needed the procedure ourselves. We drove all the way from Vegas because of the Drs and the care and the reasonable cost! NO pressure for unecessary testing... They REALLY listened to our needs and accommodated OUR* timeline so I wasn't put on any unecessary meds. They made it work... (Even though different MDs had to do it). Dr Foulk managed my cycle but Guscheff did retrieval & Dr. Parker the transfer. But their best employee by far is Meghan, RN (nurse)at the St. George office. BTW they have a real nurse coordinating your cycle instead of some random sales/ customer service representative which I think is a MUST. She hounded insurance for us and communication with her was top notch all the way! Hormonal women who are dealing with the stress of it all can be a LOT and she was a rock to lean on. Because of her we will do our future transfers there as well. Also Maren Good was on top of her game communication wise as well. read more

Negligent and dismissive. Scheduling problems, hard to reach by phone and do not address issues from clients well. My wife had to go to ER due to no med management by UFC staff. Emails they claim they sent we never received but got emails about other women's services (HIPAA violations). After I brought this to their attention the clinical manager cut off communication and will not answer calls or emails. Also rated the worst fertility clinic in Utah (ivfauthority.com). I have to file complaints with governing agencies to get an answer. read more

Awful experience. Firstly my IUI was terribly painful. I almost went to the emergency room. An hour after the procedure I was doubled over in pain. When I called the office the staff was dismissive and rude. Secondly, I was billed for services 8 months after the fact AFTER the office had told me that my account was paid in full. The final straw was their outright refusal to submit my claim to my insurance even though I have fertility coverage. The woman I spoke to in accounting was dismissive and stated that it is their policy to lump sum bill me making it impossible to submit to insurance after the fact. Utah Fertility Center is full of compassionate, knowledgeable doctors, nurses, and staff who truly care about each patient individually. Going through fertility treatments has been an emotional ride, but I have been supported through every step of this process. I went and checked out another fertility clinic. The experience was so poor in comparison to UFC, my husband and I knew within the first couple of minutes that our care would best be handled by UFC. Dr. Gurtcheff would spend a significant amount of time explaining options and answering questions. Her honesty, care, and professionalism were so appreciated. However, even though it took several tries, what we are most grateful for was throughout my course of treatment, she would make changes to try to get a pregnancy, and she was successful. Our dream of having a family is going to happen because of Dr. Gurtcheff's knowledge and persistence. We love UFC, and will go back again when we are ready to have another child. read more

My wife and I were recommended this place to investigate possible reasons for male infertility. In meeting with the doctor, the only suggestion he said would be possible for us would be to do IVF. He suggested getting an appointment right away and discussing the financing. However, we left and sought a second opinion. After meeting with another doctor at a different clinic, our concerns are completely resolved with no treatments--saving us literally thousands of dollars. This place is clearly praying on young couples to get money by forcing treatments that are not medically necessary. I would not recommend this place due to the dishonesty of their doctors and employees. read more

I have read the negative reviews and want to say that things must have changed for the better since those were written. The company is well run and they are thorough in their explanations. Not all calls are answered life, but all my messages were at least addressed before they closed. The staff and doctors follow your labs and ultrasounds closely and truly care about the treatment and individual journey. I love Utah Fertility Center! I would recommend this clinic to anyone seeking fertility treatments because the amount of knowledge they have and their compassion for the work they do. Thank you! read more

There was a couple good things about the Pleasant Grove UFC. First they had heated floors which was nice. Second, well that's about it. I had a terrible experience with UFC. 1- I met with Dr. Faulk after rave reviews. Met with him for about 10 minutes and didn't see or hear from him once after that. 2 - I was in the middle of a miscarriage the day I spoke with him, I was in tears at the end of the apt and walked out to all the front desk girls laughing and making jokes about something, completely disregarding I was standing there in tears waiting for them to finish their joke so they could give me instructions. 3 - it's nearly impossible to talk to someone in the back clinic when you call, no one seams to be available yet when you're standing in the back clinic there are at least 4 girls available. It's most frustrating when you're waiting for HCG test results and they never call back. 4 - I had a panel of blood testing done for my hormones and no one ever talked to me about the results. Anytime I asked, the girls would say something like "I don't know what this means". 5 - the receptionist Barb!! Is extremely unfriendly and cold. It's very uncomfortable to walk through your front doors (by the way being very emotional and most of the time extremely sad) and have someone not really greet you warmly like they understand, but seem like they're bothered you're there. 6 - they could never tell me why I had miscarried. 7- I miscarried for the FOURTH time and no one has followed up with me (it's been over 4 weeks). 8 - having to drive 30 minutes to get a special prescription to try and prevent one of my four pregnancies from ending and the pharmacist has no idea who I am and there was no prescription called in (which happened more than once) - by this time it was Saturday and no one answers the phone on Saturday and, very discouragingly that pregnancy was lost. I'm sure I'm leaving some other frustrating situations out for having too many to count. To say the least I'm incredibly discouraged and frustrated with spending so much money at UFC with no answers, no results, treated poorly and more upset than I've ever been. I would not put my trust in Dr Faulk or his staff or recommend him because of the way my situation was handled. I hope no one else has to go through the same situation as I did at this clinic. read more

They said that it was going to be free through our insurance but then they wanted us to pay $5,000 for their prescriptions. I checked through my insurance because I get prescription discounts and out of pocket would be less than $300. So I said I would go that way and they say you can't do that. So we stopped going, then out of no where $200 bills started showing up. read more
