    Almond croissant ($4.25)
    Kathleen S.

Based on its popularity, I was eager to try Utica Bread. One day I stopped in at around 1PM, and there were hardly any pastries left. Having learned my lesson, I arrived before 10AM on a second visit and was able to score an almond croissant. At $4.25, it was definitely on the higher end. I was disappointed to find that the almond croissant didn't have very much almond paste, and worse, it was not very laminated. Overall the dough texture was completely off as it was too soft and flaccid. Without sufficient frangipane and a somewhat tasteless dough, this was a bit of a chore to finish. The composition was just puzzling. I would not buy this particular pastry item again from Utica Bread. Almond croissant ($4.25)

Wow! What service and absolutely delicious products. The sourdoughs are soooo good! Olive is my favorite but I can't wait to try a couple other ones. The baguettes ads delicious and they have a cool selection of spices, honey, meats, cheeses, and bakery items. The service will always put a smile on your face. They are so pleasant and friendly it really does make your day. I can't recommend enough!!!!

    Tasty Croissants!

We were looking for a "grab and go" breakfast and this little bakery hit the spot. It is small with limited options, but many flavored croissants. The croissant dough was excellent - so light and flaky and fresh. The spinach and feta had very little "filling," whereas the prosciutto had plenty of saltiness for the savory croissant. My son really like the "snake," which seemed to be croissant dough in a coil seasoned with cinnamon and frosting like a cinnamon roll.

Quiche : tomato bacon and asiago cheese

Things have changed around here again. We stopped by recently for some brunch style eating. I had the chocolate croissant and my friend had the spinach. We also got some of their yummy quiche of the day which was tomato bacon and asiago. On the counter they were offering samples of their blueberry pie bars, which were delicious. They have a couple tables out front, but it was raining, so we took our stuff to Utica Coffee next door. Follow them on social media such as Instagram to see what specials they might be serving up that day. You can find them at the Oneida County public market on Saturdays, which seems to be their biggest selection of goodies.

I go here for chocolate croissants and baguettes. Both very good -- great crust on the baguettes. Hair pricey but good bread

My husband says this is the best bread he's ever had and he insists on buying a loaf every week.
