    The giant doughnuts and halfmoon
    Johannah C.

I'm traveling for work and this bakery was recommended by a coworker. Omg. I don't even know where to start! That bakery is cute and clean. The goodies are AMAZING!!! The doughnuts are huge and super fresh and there are so many flavors. My fave doughnut is the chocolate iced cream filled...It was like biting into heaven. I've never had a half moon before and honestly I'm sad I only got one. I would drive 6.5 hours one way to get a box of them. The donnolis (doughnut with cannoli filling) were so so good. The first bite of the apple turnover... I can't even describe how light and airy and sugary. The blueberry kolache was like a cheese and fruit danish rolled into one but better. The almond roll was bomb. I also got some of their tomato pie. It was so good, I didn't even get a picture. If you are anywhere near here, it would be in your best interest to get something from this bakery. Not even joking.

This place started out as a food truck and evolved into a wonderful place to eat. Ramon is a former Marine whose family has been in the food business for many years. And it is quite obvious he knows what he's doing as far as baked goods and breakfast/brunch goes. This place is phenomenal! You have to check out his home made corned beef hash and his donolli (a cross between a canoll and a donut).

Great Place! Food was good and so reasonably priced! Good sized portions. Nice place to meet for breakfast/brunch. Pastries for dessert were delicious (ie Donolli!!)

Wow !!! Have been wanting to go for years and about the time we went the restaurant closed due to…read morea fire. Heard they reopened in a new location but never seemed to find time or thought about it. Decided today was the day....Have been kicking myself that we haven't tired it sooner. It was so good. Staff there were friendly, warm, and inviting. We spoke to the owner for a while about a shared experience in DC. The restaurant back in the day was so dark when it was the Black Cat and now is so open, light, and inviting. Nothing fancy but is great for a casual meal. Now for the Pizza.... What makes it so great is the thin light and crispy crust with the right amount of toppings and cheese. They offer many different and unique pizzas and am looking forward to returning and trying several other pizzas. Would highly recommend, truly a five star experience.

It's spacious inside and the staff is super friendly. It's clear they take great pride in their food, and they should. Is it going to be a little more expensive? Maybe. But you're paying for excellent quality pizza cooked in a wood fire oven. It took maybe 4 minutes to get my pizza to my table. There are so many unique offerings on the menu and if you're feeling like trying something different, go for the one with fig, goat cheese, rosemary and an amazing honey drizzle (Miele di Fico). They also do gluten free! Highly recommend for a great quality pizza.
